In the Sabine matchup, at least in my experience, you have to hope that Sabine players don‘t realise that they aren‘t the faster deck for once. If the Sabine player realises what Kylo is trying to do, they can pretty effectively start with removing everything early and then later go face. If they choose to go with their normal gameplan…yes, Kylo will win the race.
As a player recently converted to Sabine after playing few Kylo’s I managed two switch gears in head and usually I am able to turn the tables. Ecl early for 2 for 1, look out for buffs in space and only then swing usually works. But not always! Sometimes you just can’t keep up ECL with K2-SO with discard option is a great play in most matches, though 😅
I tried kylo on the weekend. So far I've tried the yellow version linked on garbagerollers and the green version by wooo. I think both are fun, but I'm not sure about consistency. The yellow version feels pretty reliant on either some kind of toro combo or putting a fallen lightsaber on kylo. Which is amazing if it works, and works more often than youd think, but just feels a bit like a long shot too me. The green version is also fun, but is harder to pilot. Because you need early turn plays but also some high end unit that you can throw away, AND you want palpatines return. I found it to be pretty restrictive. Its fun if it works, but I'm favoring yellow so far. I have been meaning to try a space based list, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I guess I should also try your red version. One big thing I'm not sure how to deal with yet is red/blue/hero decks. If they keep chucking early sentinels and heals at you you might not be able to hit the base fast enough, then youre boned. Any thoughts on that? Again, this is based on like 15 games on the weekend, so pretty surface level. But I've got a small tournament coming up and I'm thinking of preparing a kylo list for it
Kylo is awesome, fast - but hard to get him to mid/late game, to close out games in a lot of match ups. But I am trying out a Kylo Command (green) deck using Palp's return and some force units to get better into late games. So far it's decent.
I think Kylo is a trap deck. Its very one dimensional and has to hope oppnents are not prepared..... which is not where I'd want to be if i was in a big event, but for local play it's probably fine

I agree! Kylo will likely win if it's just a race, but if Sabine plays the control she can stop him.

It’s so difficult for me to play fast decks. I love me my control. But this looks fun.
Kylo yellow is one of my favorite decks but I play more of a triple dark raid tie phantom build

I agree, I’ve been if mono aggression for 3-4 weeks. It’s fun but very one dimensional with only a few tricks. I do want to try cunning tho

I like force throw in this deck fs, fifth brother to enable, and toss chaos of war. The card isnt great
