I built a similar list to this but moved away from TDR mainly because i felt Asaaj is a really effective force throw user. I overlooked the 0 cost 5/4 in space for the list and may revisit with that in mind. Geonosis Patrol is a really solid card to hit off of TDR to really throw a tempo wrench into things
I tried both Geonosis and Force throw for a while. Force throw is potential side for me for certain MUs. Asajj is so fragile I found it would be hard to trigger force throw, and Geonosis is a great card but not very aggro for its cost . Though that was pre triple dark, it may be worth it with triple dark in the aggro mirror .
The issue with force throw is that once she’s taken out, which isn’t difficult, then you lose so much functionality with that card. With only 4-5 other force units, it doesn’t end up being worth it. I agree with the patrol fighter. It’s an awesome TDR hit, especially against aggro as you can knock their turn 1 or 2 play back into their hand.
I took out a breaking in and daring raid and added two fallen lightsabers. Dropping a fallen lightsaber on ventress on her flip turn can be massive, especially against other token decks. It also gets her out of range of things like takedown and open fire. Once Ventress is inevitably taken out, then the lightsaber is almost useless and is an easy resource.
I did something similar but i left the breaking in and added 1 saber. The games I lose I lose by 1-2 damage so I can't bring myself to drop breaking in
Gotta say that the list with droid escort makes so much more sense with Asajj unit. Surprised there is no fallen lightsaber/force throw. Been playing something very similar, just more tanks, less dooku, initially wanted to play the one drops, but I guess theyre not necessary, I really like political pressure with this list. And gotta say that the Geonosian Patrol is great and also the demolisher saboteur for later exploits. It's just hard to fit it all in haha. Oh and I think with addition of geonosian patrol (to take care of pumped 3 costs) its ok to change waylays for NGTMD.
Ventress doesn't seem like a great turn 1 play, difficult to get a separatist unit to attack to get the benefit on turn 2. Only way is with TDR hitting 1 of 6 ships which seems like can whiff often in multiple ways.
They're also not super exciting ships to hit. Like you're getting a decent shot at removal with p38, but vanguard bomber is a little diminutive by comparison. IMO, the Geonosis patrol fighter and AAT could be decent follow ups as they actively protect the Ventress unit. Of course there is a problem still. If you do that round 1 play, your opponent will most likely have the initiative. Vs blue this could mean getting potds thrown at you or yellow could be throwing a surprise strike your way. But maybe instead, you play ventress round 2 after attacking with your droids and TDRing to remove something early. That could be pretty strong.

@@brandonabrams6885 patrol bomber hits for 5 with Ventress . Higher than P38 and 7th fleet . And you get 2 more ping next turn
@@RandomNumberGaming That's true. It's actually fairly good. It's just feels pretty small when you can have 5 cost of vehicle and you're only using 2.
