I can't remember the last time i heard a band that didn't have mike portnoy in it
Mike is one of the best drummers I've seen perform since Neil Peart at a Rush concert, when he was in his prime back in the mid to late 70s. Both have the gift of making the difficult look easy and I heard Mike was able to finally meet Neil and spent a few days with him.
hahahaha......G. Whistler, you made me laugh, haha, really!!!! But, look from the brighter side: Mike and Neil make always a sophisticated music, U can always learn some new ideas about odd time signatures, weird chord arrangements and, one question bothers me and because of that your comment is very funny to me: Do they sleep???????!!!!!!!!!!!

God, Morse plays beautifully. And Portnoy is a monster! Really, the whole band is fabulous.
One of the very few bands that perform even better on stage then on the recording !! Gotta see them everytime you can !
Was so fortunate to see them in Charleston, Illinois 10/17/19. They were really good. Casey shined.
This is the perfect combo of good craftmanship, songwriting and performance live. Very good lyrics about mans lust to find his identity without Gods help. One of my favs with Flying Colors!
First time I ever heard this song, Steve's solo blew my mind. Now watching the video for the first time, he managed to do it again.

Damn good performance. Casey looks much more comfortable and confident than on the previous DVD, he's really great.
Love the repeating riff, have to give that one a go...and of course Steve Morse is such a badass. The song is also very catchy.

I've been following the Dregs and everything that Steve Morse has done. Love Dream Theater, Styx, Kansas, ELP. This band is a mix of all of them with awesome vocals. I'm hooked...

I don't know where I've been but I just discovered this band today! I've known about Morse for many years though. This song reminds me a lot of Muse.

Give Casey a break! He not on the same level as the rest of them instrumentally, but then, very few musicians are. I have been following Steve Morse since the '80's. Not too many guitar players can touch him. Same goes for Dave LaRue and the rest of the band. Just close your eyes, quit being music critics, and just enjoy!
Casey is the topping on the cake with his voice and songwriting. The new album let's him shine.

Whoever the director of this video is, he really pissed me off. I love Portnoy as much, if not more than anybody but when THE GREATEST guitarist of all time is playing a solo you keep the camera focused on him and not bouncing back and forth to he drummer!

Portnoy's playing almost reminded me of "Is this Drummer at the right Gig?" performance. The exaggeration is very similar at certain times with the arms flailing about. I do believe that is why the cameraman kept switching back and forth.
I know nothing about musical notes, but do not understand why this song had to turn down a note more, do not feel as strongly, the better I'll upload this video modifying the audio, because I do not like at all, in the version of study perfect, they are masters of music do not understand why so touching. assume who was sick throat.

I'm pretty sure it's to preserve Casey's voice over the course of the tour so it's not put under so much strain. Touring is tiring and Casey's voice needs to be in the best shape possible. And it sounds heavier as well! :P

This live version lacks the punchyness of the album. It feels kinda slow, like the band's not giving their all. Too bad, i really like the band

YES, IT IS! These guys are just that good!
I feel that everybody in the band is at a whole level above Casey. I wish that it was just Steve and David. There were couple of times that Casey had taken his hands off his guitar and the sounds barely changed. It got slightly better if anything. I could see David try to move over by Steve and jam like they used to, but Casey in the way. I feel a little bad for him.
casey is the lead singer, his guitar playing is only rhythmic. did you expect a hell of a shredding? it's a little unfair. let the man do his thing. he is what makes this band unique (as we saw the other members in N projects but not him).
