Went to change mine and as soon as I took the fuel line off petrol went everywhere. Gauge says I've got minimal but it wouldn't stop coming. Now stuck on what to do
Thanks for the like but you didn't answer my questions.. Specifically does the pack include the driver side sender unit? I dont see it as a separate item anywhere
Hi guys. Wondering how much a mechanic should charge for this job on average? Im in country Victoria. I have an Xtrail Adventure 2009. The car keeps chugging on acceleration and i hear a little metalic click from the rear somewhere. Thanks so much. Cheers.
@@sojourn20 yep, there is some mesh within the pump itself. Strange setup hey. I've since seen these advertised for around $150 bucks, so I'm pretty annoyed I paid $500 now!
I know this is an old comment, but if the reason you have to replace both, is that your fuel gauge isn't working, 9 times out of 10 its due to a faulty fuel gauge in the gauge cluster. Pull a cluster out of a junker and I bet that solves the fuel gauge issue. Fair warning, the odometer stays with the cluster, so try to pick one with lower KM hahaha
@thepartsfactory4239 lol just put a fan in the car? As long as the fumes dont build up, you'll likely be fine. It also helps to use brushless tools as they dont really spark. Gasoline itself isn't flammable typically as a liquid: unless vaporized or exposed to open flame. i have watched a man put out a cigarette in a puddle of gas. It is just fumes to be worried about, so as long as you arent sticking your brushed tools in the gas tank you should survive.

Found this video very helpful well explained and demonstrated, took a bit longer than old mate but aye i managed to cut my hand to LMAO job done.
Well done! Yes I've been there done that. I tend to put a rag over my hand when doing anything near metal these days.
does the unit also include the fuel filter? or do I need one? also does it include the other sender unit?
Love the sandals man; great vid very helpful thank you
Glad you like them!
Except for forgetting to reconnect the fuel line... Bonzo video mate...
Didn't know there was a second level sensor...😅

Remove fuse for pump and crank vehicle to get fuel of line. ..if not use cloth around cap to absorb fuel

No just the main pump

@thepartsfactory4239 thank you!
Do you need to drain fuel before working on it?
No but try use alot of your fuel up if possible
Forgot to plug in the hard to remove fuel line. That's the bit I'm stuck on and you forgot about it haha😅
Fuel filter is part of the fuel pump?

Did this on a public park 😂

I used power tools, and i didn't blow up... am i doing something wrong?
Yes win or loose the risk would never out weigh the reward.

Of our website. Partsfactoryaus.com.au

Yes we have this product coming
Will this fit a 2007 t30 Nissan x trail?
Yes T30
The fuel level is not giving accurate result. Should I replace both of these ? The pump and the other one ?
Yes you either gamble and do one at a time or just replace both. Thx

Remember to clean before removal. Dust in fuel tank bad.
