Soon to be closed! Airport Berlin Tegel * Flughafen

This was a great plane spotter video! I flew in and out of Berlin via USAF C-47 at Templehof in 1960. That old ww1 fighter was nice...our local airport has a small "Monocoupe" hanging from the ceiling...thanks for a really nice video !!

But I was mainly there to film the regular traffic before the airport gets closed down in June.

I remember landing at TXL in a dense fog on Pan Am back in the 80s. Great experience. Berlin is super!

that has been delayed because the new BER airport is not ready for opening yet. TXL remains open until March 17 2013.

I don´t know if there are flights to Iran, but it could well be. I haven´t seen any Iraninan planes there. But there are flights from Iran to Cologne.

A soon-to-close airport is a rather mournful kind of place.
Are there still any flights to Iran, or is the Iran Air desk long closed?
And who's going to have the Fokker Triplane? :-o

tegel isnt getting closed 3rd june. its getting closed 3rd august, fire safety isnt really working as expected at bbi

I fly into Tegel on April 25 and depart 22 Mai, so I just miss the closing. Sad. Tegel is just so convenient for me. Na ja, nothing is forever.

The new airport will be called BER (Flughafen Berlin-Brandenburg). ;)
