You can alway replace the batteries and heads of the toothbrushes which is WAY cheaper if money is a concern.
Does anyone else notice how much James is picked on by Alex and whoever else joins in on it and Alicia and Josh never seem to stop it. James is one of the best kids out of the 12 and deserves better.

You better limit your coffee and coffeecreamer use,because they are inhibiting iron adsorption. You need to eat more vegetables to get vitamin C.
OMG. Never knew people to buy new toothbrushes so often and spending so much on each brush. Why not buy the replaceable heads for the bigger expensive electric brushes instead of the whole thing again. Dentists say to change brushes every 3-4 months. We do whenever it is a change of seasons or if anyones brush is super frayed before then we will replace one.
You need to treat James better if he is helping you like he does .

I watch a few other bloggers in America and at present they are doing a no spend to little spend month. Just wondering if you do anything like this to reduce your freezer and pantry stock? I have been watching you for quite some time now and i wonder how your family can eat that amount of food in basically a week as you buy the same groceries everyweek. I have worked feeding 20 men a day and live in Australia and have never spent that amount of money ever. I would love to see a full pantry tour and would love to see the kids actually eating what you cook. You never see them eating what is made

Dental hygienist here: the product line from Crest : Gum sensitive, Gum Detoxify and Gum Densify are ALL sensitivity toothpastes. The only difference is they have different strengths of mint flavour. Personally I like the gum detoxify. Best sensitivity toothpaste I personally have ever used. Taste is good too.

A honest question , you’ve spoke that you have to be very careful about given all your children , Dairy, sugar etc, but the majority of the food you buy for them is Overloaded with these ingredients and not just the snacks, how does that work out or are they suddenly over there addiction risk , asking cause I’m genuinely curious

She absolutely enjoys shopping.
They have family and friends over for meals multiple times per week and there are often kids' friends over, so she's feeding more than 14 very frequently. I think she does also enjoy it.
@Samantha Longley they have entire garage and pantry full to the brim with food including like 6 fridges ans freezers and she just keeps adding more
14 full time people 3 meals per day 7 days per week + visitors, that's a lot of groceries, how many people you feed that much and how often you go shopping. I keep thinking you critics will eventually give it up, but I guess hate and criticizing for some is a hobby and has not limits.
There is so much food that still need to be finished like whooaaaa!

If I were you I would have about 3 washers and dryers. There are places that will wash and fold/hang up your laundry. It saves alotted of time and your back.

Our family if ten had one washing machine commercial and I would do all the beds in a sat morning one load done ! I could never fit this into my daily routine as a working mother!
Im so confused does Alicia buy new toothbrushes everytime the batteries stop working. Where I live the batteries are replaceable, as are the toothbrush heads. 🤷
Want to say the batteries are replaceable in all of them, but think the heads are only replaceable in the (more expensive) ones she got from the top shelf. Dont believe they have replacement heads for the "cheaper" (lol like any of them are cheap) type & the little kids character brushes
Only some of the cheaper ones are battery replaceable. The ones that aren't usually say on the package the estimate life of the batteries inside is about 3 months but some people wear the bristles out really quick.

Honestly to the people who tend to judge this wonderful family for the amount of food the go threw a week should js keep it themselves shes feeding a family of 12. Let's js be greatful she's doing such a good job on watching over them and take the time to do this every week just so they could always have food.

Why not invest in new, larger and better quality fridges and upright freezers? Clearly excess food stock seems important to you to have on hand for the kids so why not buy better fridges and freezers with larger interior space? Instead of keeping a bunch of run down, old ones with issues with the doors not closing properly?
Genuinely curious. Older fridges are less energy efficient too so it would likely be more cost effective to have new ones that are more energy efficient?

Can you do a snack pantry, food storage, fridge tour sometime? I know with 12 kids that's a lot to ask lol. But I'd love to see snack pantry.
Not many people could handle this many kids and be loosing them. Glad there are strong mommas like this out there, that can have there own and take in so many kids too. Bet its hard to spend quality time with each and every one of them. But bet you try. Looks like it. Not easy with just one kid at times, couldn't imagine having 14 and maybe more in the future. Your doing well, keep it up.

I love that part of your love language is buying your kids their requested foods. Since some of your children may have experienced food insecurity before coming to your home, I imagine having choices about what to eat is extra special!

After awhile the bases get all crusty with toothpaste, especially kids brushes. It’s good to replace them every so often.

Wooow, do they not sell seperate tooth brush heads in the states. Understand the younger children wanting to have one with cartoons but the older children could just use a electric toothbrush with brush heads you can replace? Its cheaper and wayyy less waste right?
Also not hating just wondering… :) not sure if these electric toothbrushes are as common in the US as is here in Europe. Nobody buys battery operated toothbrushes here.
They are a popular thing in the US. Many dentist are recommending now as well because of the pulse feature that lets you know when to move to another area to clean which is great for children.
The bases of the brushes also get crusty and gunky with tooth paste after a while, especially kid’s brushes. It’s good to replace them every so often.

Not by any means am I trying to be petty but can u pls act like u r price checking for us poor people who can't afford to just grab and go and cost means nothing to us.. u took me out when u clearly passed up the better toothbrush for 23.00 to get 36.00 ones that was effective only because it was 36.00 ..rhe 23.00 had replacement heads the 36.00 no so it would have been more cost effective to get the 23.00 and a pack of new heads.. for all the kids

Alicia always has a variety of food with nutritional balance with the occasional treat of sugar which we all deserve from time to time, especially with 14 kiddos. Despair is such a strong word, I think they'll be ok, so do not despair, lol.

Find a drop off laundry matt they will do your laundry and fold it then you pick it up
Drop offs charge by the pound. That would be pricey.
@@tammywallek773 I'd hire somebody to help me or at least pay someone to do the most of it. She's super busy, some chores can be passed off. Like it would be wonderful if she had a chef that cooked healthy food for the family and other areas of the house where a little help would go a long way.

I love how she says it is a small haul. That is an insane amount of food. I will fill up one cart to the brim on my “big” haul days and I feel so guilty about spending that money. This many carts is so unbelievable 😊

But if the majority appears to be shelf stable or frozen and she's very clearly feeding tons of people including many who aren't her own children on a regular basis and can clearly afford it, why are we on her case? She'll be able to feed the neighborhood if there's an apocalypse. :) She's stated herself that she's extra. She's aware that she's over the top. Hopefully some of the excess will be cut back at some point but I don't think unkind comments are going to help.

Just FYI the Quip toothbrushes have replacement heads. I’ve seen you buy them before and it’s just kind of wasteful to throw out and expensive. Just letting you know!
The ones I get do not have a way to replace the batteries 😅 I usually have to replace the whole thing. There may be some mounts but I’m not sure, or ordered mine online

Hi Alicia, You mentioned you have anemia and take iron supplement every day. I am currently pregnant and got anemic so I had to get on a supplement too. Newer research has proven that the body actually is able to absorb iron much better if the pill is taken every other day instead. I had the hardest time getting my levels up until I found out about this and also how important is it that you don’t consume anything with calcium for about 2 hours after taking the pill I thought it was just dairy, but it’s calcium, which was also in my oat milk, so check the labels. Hope you find this helpful ❤
Vitamin C always helps absorb iron. I have been anemic for years. If you take a C supplement with the iron it's helpful.

I just need to know how all of that milk fits in the fridge lol maybe I need a bigger fridge. I buy 4 gallons at a time and feel like it takes up so much space!
Please think of the environment, buy toothbrushes that you can change the heads as well as many other things you could be doing.
I've learned how to organize my grocery cart solely from watching Alicia all the time! Even when shopping for a three person household you've made my cart more organized!! 🧡
Wash your seals on your refrigerator with really hot water and soap it will stay closed if you clean them , had the same problem with the freezer door

I use the Kroger brand sensitive toothpaste. It should be pretty close to the Sensodyne. I love it and I've been using it for years. 👍🏻
U can get the rechargeable batteries for the electric toothbrushes I live and it comes with the charging stand the one I purchased was about $10 I think bc it came with the charging stand
Once the battery runs out on those toothbrushes it's time for a new toothbrush

Alisha, are you taking B12 along with your iron? Iron and B12 deficiencies often go hand in hand. I have both deficiencies. If you haven't had your B12 checked, it's easy to just take a B12 supplement with your iron.
Man, I would’ve loved to grow up in this household where the mom will literally buy anything that the kids request. I was LUCKY, to get even a couple of the things that I really wanted to get, like I always really wanted gushers, and I would only get them occasionally along with some other things, other than that, I ate what my parents would buy or make. She literally fills up a cart of requested food/snacks for like each child, it’s crazy!!

ProNamal sensodyne tooth paste is the only one I used as it doesn’t have SLS. I also use electric toothbrush and my teeth always feel clean. You can replace the batteries in the kids toothbrushes to, just FYI!

For condiments they make clear small squeeze bottles that are refillable and great for small hands it also allows you to buy big jugs and then refill

You know what's cool for the salad bar. Deep fry a large tortilla then take it out and lean it on a can till it forms in a bowl. Serve the salad in that then they can eat the bowl with salsa or cheese. We do it for taco salad and regular salads.
Do you ever worry about the children’s weight? I only ask because I’ve noticed a significant weight gain in the kids over the last year. As parents our children eat what we feed them and I wonder if some healthier options a few times a week would benefit the family. I’m not trying to be hateful so I hope you did not take this the wrong way.
