I would add yellow neocaridina shrimp to the list. I've never kept them, but they can be very, very yellow.

Hello Irene ! I was wondering if you could make a video on the best way when traveling with or without your bettas. At the moment we don’t really have a fish watcher for my male orange betta, and we will travel sometimes for about 2 days.. He isn’t a big fan of the weekly feeders, although it does give him the nutrients that he needs but he likes the regular feeding and human interaction much more. Every time i leave (Yes, even when my parents are home feeding him for a day while I’m at a friends house etc.) His bubble nest goes away. But when i come back he starts to build it back up again. So overall i was wondering the best ways to keep your betta happy while your gone, or the best way to take your betta with you. Because i know for a fact bettas are very stressed out when you move them around too much. Thanks!

My honey gourami is my favorite fish! I have a community tank at school and my kids named him Applesauce. Right now I have him paired with a school of ember tetras, corys, and a couple guppys. They really are a great nano fish to have!

@@sunflowermouse307 Applesauce! That’s an adorable, cheerful name :)
I’m in my researching stage, so I’m not even a beginner yet. But I’d like to have a honey gourami as my beginner fish along with some tank mates in a 20 gallon tank. Thank you for sharing the information - the tank mates I was thinking for the honey gourami is similar to Applesauce’s friends, so I’m glad to hear that they get along!

It is such a shame that lemon tetra are so underappreciated in the hobby. I have 13 at the moment, and if I had a larger aquarium, I would just continue to fill it with lemon tetra. They are so fun to watch spar and chase one another. I started off with the "recommended" six and thought, these are fine. It wasn't until I got above 10 that I realized just how much you miss having them in smaller schools. Their behavior completely changes the larger the school. When I saw your list, I thought, another list that's going to leave out my babies, but you didn't! Thank you for spotlighting what is one of my favorite fish in the hobby!

Kinda shocked you didn't mention Golden Wonder Killifish. To me they are the most vibrant yellow/gold of all the ones on this list. I keep golden honey gouramis in a 55 gallon community tank, one day I woke up and noticed a dozen dead fish, noticed my little male had the rest of the fish cornered in one side of the tank. I removed him and threw him in my hospital tank. 2 weeks later I noticed a dozen little yellow fish and realized that the male had been protecting his spawn. I put him back in the tank and I remove and breed him everytime he beards out. Haven't had any aggression from him in since I started doing that.

I like the way you have taken on colour as a topic for your nano fish videos! I needed a showpiece fish in my 20 gallon long. I didn't care so much about having a particular colour, but I wanted a pair of honey gourami after watching one of your previous videos. Unfortunately, only one store anywhere near me had them, and the ones they had were a mushy brown, not the gold variety that you have. I passed on the brown honeys and ended up taking a chance on two male dwarf gourami. I say chance because I had them previously and both died within two weeks from dwarf gourami iridovirus. I have one powder blue and the other a blue and red mix. Fortunately, both are doing well so far and I have had them for a month.

Like the list as yellow is one of my favorite colors it is night warm and a happy color. But here are a few more to consider yellow bettas, yellow lab cichlids, yellow mollies, yellow platties are a few more yellow fish to look for. However yellow labs are more of a specialty fish and definitely not a nano fish being that African cichlids not a community type fish and need a much larger tank. Even the females are bright yellow like the males. But the others could easily go in a nano tank 20 gallon to ten gallon, betta in a five.
Nevertheless yellow on a dark substrate and dark background with green plants stand out as their yellow color pops with vibrancy against those darker colors, which seem to make their yellow color more intense and vibrant.
