I loved watching him roast himself. I actually snort laughed watching it. And now it is a part of his live shows, the over dramatic revebawaits. Papa Roach recently did a birthday video to Ronnie and he sang it like Ronnie's roast. So funny!

Oh btw this and the Revamped was never intended to be hits. They were a covid gift to the OG fans. He did the same with a free (youtube only) mixtape for christmas 2014 (I believe)
Growing up with the original version, I appreciate a lot how Ronnie is able to take older songs and turn them into something almost completely different. Both versions serve their purpose perfectly! The next one you should definitely check out is I'm Not A Vampire and the Revamped version. It will blow your mind even more. I promise! 😊

@@iamdondawson Lately I've been listening to a lot of The White Buffalo. Most listened are: Highwayman, The Woods, I Got You, Modern Times, and Wish It Was True.
He's a one man show, usually just him and his acoustic guitar with the occasional feature producing a pleasant blending of folk country and Americana. Some of his music has been featured in Sons of Anarchy, Californication, Longmire, and This Is Us.

The I'm not a Vampire original/revamped versions are definitely worth watching, but maybe you should try some later upbeat songs in between, like Popular Monster or Zombified? You should probably wait a bit with Voices in my Head, since it has references to earlier videos that might be fun to catch

And I don't know if you've already been told but Ronnie's first band was Escape The Fate, until he went to prison. He wrote this song (and I think some others from the same album) in prison.

Escape The Fate was around in 2006... dunno how different they were overall. Ronnie fronting an emo punk/metal band on Epitaph, could be talking about either band. Thanks for the reactions. How he woke up one day and said "Ya know... about some of these old songs.." then did these 3 remakes is insane in the most awesome of ways.

Thanks so much! Motionless in White and Ice Nine Kills are great ones to add to my list! I photographed one of Black Veil Brides’ performances back in 2013 and I didn’t love their sound, but maybe they’re better on a recording than they were in person that day. I’ll check em out!

@iamdondawson you are gonna have fun with that one too. I recently discovered a two part "live" concert that he did. It is Live From The Underground. I've been to two of their shows, and I can vouch that the band performed as though they were live, even though it was on green screen.

Rusty as his voice was, they pretty much hit the studio and recorded the whole first album for newly formed Falling in Reverse.
Really enjoyed your reaction and at the beginning of the reaction you said you were hoping that the two songs. The two remakes weren't similar but I think that it was important that they were because it seems like both original songs were a high energy cover for the desperation and the lyrics. And I believe that both remakes just kind of took the smoke screen off of it and just let the desperation show and I think that was important. Just my opinion

I stopped listening to the emo screamo shit after high school. I stopped listening to rock when new rock started becoming awful. Rap has always been soulless, I don’t like soul or R&B, I dislike pop because I’ve got to maintain my edge.
So I found Falling in Reverse again, with their new shit, and was like “I can be heard listening to this as adult and people won’t think I’m painting my nails black and putting eyeliner on”
The original is generic emo pop rubbish, it feels like it's almost a parody of itself compared to their newer material
