Against the chiefs, in didn't have an exceptional game after l'jarius sneed used tons of man to man and pushing him a bit at the beginning of the route, messing the timing between tua and tyreek, it would have been cool to see if it can actually be an effective technique against him?
at a certain point its not a matter of the tactic itself but comes down to the actual skill and talent of the individual defender. even the right tactic only works if you have someone who can properly execute it play after play. The defense has to be successful basically every play, while the offense only has to a few times. Tyreek only really has to win maybe 5-10 times a game. potentially less. The issue for defenses is that if he can beat you, he can basically beat you every time.
Hill has been very stoppable, but against top CB talent. I will always love when Tampa Bay threw ✌back at him in the super Bowl. Best taunting penalty of all time.
Omg it’s almost like those are teams you play twice a year what everyone knows that the niners swept the rams in 2020 when they had single digit wins a fully injured roster and the rams went to the playoffs
That was in September breh. Pats met the Fins again about a month later in October at Miami and Hill AND Waddle got their yards. Bills last regular season game is against the Fins but the Bills defense is not the same back when they met in Oct 1.
Omg REALLY? The claim is Hill is (literally) unstoppable and I offered up 2 examples that show he was stopped. Sorry I didn't realize facts get negated because you didn't read the full comment. You know, where I point out his division rivals seem to know how to stop him. Tyreek Hill isn't unstoppable. My examples to refute that claim also highlight how they are division rivals. Your comment was unnecessary.@@manuelgibbons5903
The only game he has truly been locked down was the Patriots game. The Bills game they just didn't dial up his number much at all (5 targets is not enough - especially considering he normally averages 3+ targets a game from behind the LoS). The Chiefs' game, he had two drops that left like 50+ yards off his stat sheet. The Patriots are truly the only team to lock him up, despite the Dolphins dialing up his number a lot. Edit: Even then, if you look up Megatron's stats (record holder for yards in a single season), Megatron had games he got locked up way harder than Hill has this season. Megatron also had 202 targets on that season (only a 59% catch-rate). Meanwhile, sure we have some games left to play (but even if you add the extra game now) Hill would have to average 17.5 targets over the next 4 games to get as many targets as Megatron did in his record setting season. Hill is on pace to break Megatron's record while having less targets in a season that has one more game. That is freaking crazy. If we take the extra game away, Hill would have to be targeted over 23 times a game to get as many targets as Megatron had. Hill is averaging more ypg, despite going out in the Titans game with an injury, and has over a 10% high catch rate than Megatron did. Even if Hill doesn't break the single season receiving record, you would be delusional to say he hasn't had the single greatest WR season of all time. That's why Tua throwing him the rock btw. Megatron had Stafford (much better than Tua). Rice had two HOFs. Tyreek Hill is in a class with the likes of Randy Moss. The difference between Hill, Moss, and Megatron, is that Hill is doing all of this while being half a foot or more shorter.

3:15 Must have forgotten about Randy Moss. At 6'4", he was "deceptively fast" because of those long strides, but he would COOK the fastest players on the field. If you want to make a statement of just raw speed to see in your life at the WR position, Marquise Goodwin was blazing fast, but he wasn't a multi-talented route running super star. Hill's fastest record field speed ever has been 22.07mph. Goodwin has beaten that multiple times, with his best set at 22.23mph. Not a lot faster, but if we are making statements of just raw speed, Hill is NOT in a class by himself, he isn't even at the top of the class of his peers, let alone all time.
Hill seems to be equally quick as he is fast. I think that is the biggest difference. His ability start/stop and change direction is something you don’t see from the speedsters like Moss.
Late but contrary to popular belief Tyreek’s top speed and maintenance of that speed contributes more to separating him from your average speedster than his acceleration. At 18, he ran a 20.14 200m which was the 5th fastest under 20 ever at the time. John Ross and marquis goodwin pb’s are in the mid 21s. Chris Johnson 21.2. I appreciate your videos but kind sad you didn't analyze two critical games. Also how did you not bring up Randy Moss? He was just as fast (if not faster) and had a longer reach with way better hands.
John Ross was never used correctly. He should be a 3rd down RB so he can have a free release coming outta the backfield. Than you could utilize his speed over LBs and find soft areas in zone.
Great showcase, but it seems that committing to press-man is the way to go. Tua doesn't get the best protection and they rely on his speed/timing a TON. Disrupt that and it should be game over. Dolphins have played a TON of not-good teams so it's easier to showcase, but real contenders have found a way to keep him bottled. So he's definitely going to do something special but it sure looks like it's luck of the schedule rather than pure talent. I just wish we could have seen him and Waddle facing more "good" teams than not because I think he is special and McDaniels is doing an fantastic job in coaching which could mean they're better as time goes on.
Tyreek obviously has blazing speed. And he has incredible acceleration too. The two are different: dd/dt vs dV/dt. But I think he has really good hands too; I can’t recall him dropping a catchable ball. But he also knows when and how to create separation which makes it easier for his quarterback - Tua of course - to throw fewer tight-window throws. But I think he’s a smart guy too. I vaguely remember him talking about not only the DB coverage on a play but what the linebackers were doing, which must be hard to see if you’re an NFL receiver and not a tall one at that. He’s still on track to get over 2K yards although I don’t know his injury situation. I think he’s the most electrifying player on the NFL. Just think if Randy Moss put out the effort that Tyreek does. Randy would’ve held every record.
All of Andy Reid's extensive genius can't make the Chief's offense good when they have zero WRs who can beat man coverage. Double team Kelce, man coverage on everyone else, blitz Mahomes. The Rubix cube has been solved.

Once Tua gets rattled, load up the line then pull out of it..send one. He will start watching the line.. Then you have to re-route Hill, CB challenging him.. Can't played scared..
