Tonight Alive, every time you bring out a new song/album, it is amazing! Whether it is a new style or old, it doesn't matter because listening to your songs makes me happy. A few of them, have actually gotten me through some dark times in my life. I've seen you guys, twice in concert, and it's magical!

I love Tonight Alive, always have and always will. When I first watched this video I questioned if this was really them, but then I realised, hey, man, they are trying something different, they are breaking the mould of what people see them as. At the end of the day they will always be my favourite band, and I will always adore them, so let them have fun, let them experiment, no matter what, they are fucking amazing, keep making beautiful music guys. I was obsessed with this band and then this song came out and I became even more obsessed. This band was incredible live and I will always be a fan and a huge supporter of Tonight Alive. They deserve all the success coming their way.
Can a woman be anymore beautiful? Shania Twain is beautiful, Kate Beckinsale is gorgeous. Jenna McDougall? I can't find the words, Soulgasmic? Her eye's and smile are just stunning and every time I watch and listen to her I get body chills. Amazing!

I don't understand why people are hating on all the new music they're creating, its tonight alives own choice in what they make and shouldn't be forced to stay the same. people change as time goes on, you aren't being forced to listen, new fans will come and others will leave. personally I love it and the rest of all the music they've made

why are people making a fuss because this sounds like a pop song? Tonight Alive have always been more pop than punk sounding. This does have a ska punk vibe to it (like no doubt) not every album will sound the same but this isn't a huge change at all...x
+Rhiannon Evans It's a shift for sure. I was having my doubts when they released To Be Free, because I didn't like it at all. However, what they got with Human Interaction, How Does It Feel, and Drive is awesome. They sound great acoustically too.:)

Yes, if you compare Wasting Away with The Other Side, they definitely reduced their heaviness. However, Jenna has a great voice and they're just a great band all round.

+Rhiannon Evans To say this is slightly more pop is just nonsense, this is a pop song. Listen to Lonely Girl, then this song, there are no guitars, there is no real drums or real bass. This is flat out pop and flat out awful. I think Bring Me retained more of their -core past than Tonight Alive have retained their punk.

I'm all for bands evolving their music and experimenting with something new, I just hope they return to their roots after this album. This album sounds like it's going to be "Ok" but not what you'd expect or want from Tonight Alive.
Evolving your music is great when you don't alienate your existing fanbase with a different style of music.

people should just be glad that artists are doing their day jobs and that they are doing songs from their experiences. the bands put all of their heart and soul into the songs they do, no matter if they are trying new stuff. in my opinion +tonightaliveband are an amazing band and should continue making new songs and albums for me to listen to.

Do they really love doing this though? I know Fall Out Boy went full on pop after they had a break but when they play live they're still a rock band rather than pop. Maybe these guys are the same.

I see a lot of comparing Tonight Alive's transition to pop with Paramore's transition to pop, but the real difference is that Paramore's transition was a lot easier and a lot more successful. They got platinum singles and millions upon millions of new fans, and won over most of the old fans too, but it seems like Tonight Alive are not having that same success. It seems like most of the old fans are not finding favor with the new sound, and for every new fan gained it seems like there's 20 old fans lost. In my opinion, they didn't handle this change the right way. When Paramore, and Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At The Disco went pop, they stayed the same people, they didn't have music videos where they had matching outfits or legit choreography, and it's things like that that make this transition seem forced or fake. Keeping their old style, but adding a fresh new sound would've worked out better than completely changing everything, in my opinion. Also, this is coming from a long time fan who saw them earlier this year.
paramore is an American band played on most American stations includeing satellite stations, I hear their old stuff and new stuff on the radio all the time. Tonight Alive is an aussie band that i'v never once heard on the radio.
Not even gonna lie, the more I listen the better it gets.

Well, i love TA and I know things change, and bands should to keep making music and not being always the same, but this... no. It's just my opinion, but they were better doing pop punk and heavier, deeper songs. I miss the days of The Edge, Lonely Girl or Hell and Back.
I whish them succed tho, and I'm happy they're happy doing what they do, but for what I see, I've got this feeling they're not the band I love anymore. It makes me sad 😔
+Cecilia Yacobi not sure if you had listened to the 3 previous songs (human interaction, how does it feel?, to be free), but 3 songs are deep, and the last two of them are as strong as any song of The Other Side... Thery didn´t change nothing, just a little the style and songs like "Drive" it has in all their albums. Is just a little change of style, not of way to write.
Luis Infante I've listened everything they've realised so far, and I didn't get the same pop punk vibe of their prefious albums. I'm not saying they're bad, but it's not what it feels "deep" for me.

all the comments are people complaining about the new sound and only caring about their personal music taste and not caring about what music the band wants to make. they want to take a new direction with their music and I'm all for it. the lyrics and still amazing, the vocals are still amazing, the music is still amazing. the band is still amazing!!!
yes you're right but the thing is alienating a large part of the fan base isn't going to go well for the future of the band . in the end its simple economics, no money = no new album/tours

I've loved TA from the very beginning and I have to admit not only do I still love their old music but I also really like this song and the new album. Things change and people have to accept that but I know for one thing that I still love the music they create.

I really wish people would stop saying they're disappointed and just appreciate the music. I've been a Tonight Alive fan since they started, and I am really digging their new stuff. Why would you want a band to keep having one particular sound, honestly? I love pop punk music, don't get me wrong, but it's cool to hear them playing a different type of genre. I loved Tonight Alive's sound before obviously, but I think this is a nice change for them. Change is good. If any of you are fans of Twenty One Pilots, you'd know they write and perform different types of songs which no one really complains about. So why should we be complaining that TA wants to do something different? However, I cannot change anyone's mind because everyone has their own opinions, but these are just my thoughts.
I still love and support Tonight Alive and I totally love their new sound. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it and it's really catchy 💜

WonderWoman the band all time low was signed to a major record label (I forgot which one) and they made a very poppy/radio cliche album that was unlike any of their usual pop punk sound. They left that label after that album and went back to their pop punk sound. They joke about that album a lot

For a second I thought I clicked on a Hilary Duff song.
I'm not giving up on this bad yet, but this isn't the band I fell in love with and I'm having trouble connecting with these songs. The other side is probably the my favorite album that I have listened in my 20 years alive, tos was so inspirational and comforting while being dark and badass at the same time, again I'm not giving up on this band but I can't see myself listening to this album very much solely based on this album, and I know I'm not alone because I see many of you guys speaking the same thoughts. I've waited years for new tonight alive and when I imagined what it would sound like it never occurred to me that it would sound like this. The other side meant and still means so much to me from the instant I played it on my phone, for now these songs mean nothing to me, I'm not enjoying the instrumentals on any of the songs except for How Does It Feel, but regardless I'm gonna stick with this album until I either come to enjoy it or until I'm ready to let go.

All of you saying "I don't like this because it's not the same" "rip tonight alive" "I'm unsubscribing" are not true fans. Just because they sound more "poppy" than before doesn't mean they still aren't good. They're still amazing and this song is awesome in all honesty. If you're willing to stop listening just because of a sound change, then you are very close-minded. A real fan wouldn't stop listening just because they changed their sound a little bit. They're still a great band. Bands will never have the same exact sound. That's the point of music. To evolve into something else and make something better than what you made before. If they had the same exact sound in every single album, they'd be boring. I, for one, find the fact that bands change over time very interesting. Panic! At The Disco changed their sound in literally every album they released and now the sound in Death Of A Bachelor is completely different than when Panic! first started out. Bands will always change.

Dear record companies all around the world:
Stop turning every single rock or rock/pop band into pop. Paramore, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy (at least these last two made their way back somehow), 30 Seconds To Mars, My Chemical Romance, Tonight Alive... It's came to the point in which I'm starting to believe I can only enjoy a rock band for just one album (unless, that is, they remain in the shadows and don't have a major breakthrough), cause I know in the next one everything will be softer or filled with synths. You've already filled the radio with your commercial stuff for years. Open your eyes and see there's a huge amount of rock listeners who are willing to consume rock music just as much as they did decades ago. Stop ruining your own business.

While sometimes it is major labels forcing alternative artists to conform to what they know sells, It isn't always the record company, the producer that produced limitless worked on old school Paramore and bring me the horizon albums, alternative stuff, it definitely wasn't him that 'forced' tonight alive to go poppy, also why would Fearless force them to write a pop record when The Other Side (their heaviest record) did so well? This was all tonight alive, maybe it was one member of the band's idea, or maybe it was a collective decision but nobody forced tonight alive to go Poppy, they did it on their own
And it's not always to do better commercially, it's just the desire to change. Two founding members, one being a main songwriter, of Paramore left and there were almost four years between brand new eyes and Paramore, Are you still exactly the same person you were four years ago? People go through a lot of personal growth and change massively in four years, and Hayley has said in many interviews that she was sick of being angry and bitter all the time because as much as it makes really amazing music, it's a sucky way to live, and she became a much happier person, and that came through in paramore's music,
Fallout boy's hiatus was over four years long, and they all worked on their own solo projects in that time, so the kinds of music they wrote changed and when they reunited, it showed through in their new albums,
It's probably the same thing for tonight alive, they've changed and don't want to hold onto anger and bitterness all the time and it's showing in their music

I'm fine with them going softer, popier or what ever but actually give the guitarists something to do, all their parts have been replaced by synths, its one thing adding synths but do so in a way that compliments the guitars that were a driving force of the band
