people saying tonight alive are copying paramore like what the hell... first of all just because a band has a female lead doesn't mean they are copying paramore but second of all even if they have been influenced by a band so what?? bands have been influenced by each other since bands first existed.. that's just how music evolves.

One of the first songs I ever heard from Tonight Alive. I haven't seen them make any new songs anymore sadly, they had so much potential.
They released an album like 3 years ago. It's pretty common for there to be anywhere from 3-4 years before new music
They switched over to being a generic pop group which is pretty disappointing.

This is what people tend to do and it's annoying. Female fronted pop punk bands (like Tonight Alive, WATIC and Hey Monday) are easily compared to Paramore, while female solo punk-influenced pop rock singers (like Ashlee Simpson, Skye Sweetnam and Fefe Dobson) are likely to be accused of being clones of Avril Lavigne.

I'm from Scotland and I couldn't tell the difference between most of the different accents around the USA unless they are extremely strong and I usually can't even tell Canadian accents from American accents unless there's a very clear"aboot" or similar! I can however tell the difference between the accent of people where I live and that of people who live in a town 20 minutes north of me as that is what I am most familiar with :)
I'm a fan of tonight alive and Paramore and I listen to them for different reasons because guess what, they don't sound the same...
No one said they sound similar? Tonight Alive just sound more rocky, just a bit more harder than Paramore but they do share a lot of similarities especially in this song

bingofishy a lot of other bands sounds like Paramore though, like this one (and that's not just because they have a female singer as well), I listened a lot to Paramore before and this sounds exactly like them in their older days.I don't blame em though, Paramore was one of the first big female fronted rockbands of our time so most of the newer bands are probably very inspired by them..

Tonight Alive was the first band I heard live at a concert. They opened up for Pierce The Veil and Sleeping with Sirens. I never heard of them before but Jenna and company put on the best performance.

Saw TA yesterday at Soundwave and they performed this and half the crowd really got into it because I feel like everyone has gone through this type of situation and Jenna just knew how to speak it.

This song is so relatable especially for my situation right now because there's this girl who's hella depressed and I just wanted to help her but she never accepted my help and I was always there for her but she just decided to push me away and even if I tried to still come back to her and be there for her she'd ignore me…it's really sad but there really are people that get so deep into depression that a friend can't even help them out because they don't wanna get better and all they do is push you down if you stick around for too long…not everyone can always be saved…

Why are there so many people comparing Paramore and them? They are two completely different sounding bands and those who prefer Paramore just generally prefer the kind of music they make. I'm one of them but I won't ever compare them because they only have two things in common. Same music genre and a female lead singer.
