I honestly wish in the future we can hear this song in a live concert and that im able to attend the way ill be screaming my lungs out with the chant 😭
When Tae was a child he lived with his grandparents till he left for Seoul to become a trainee. He lived with them while his parents worked in cities to make ends meet. His grandparents were farmer so they were poor. Because of this he stuggled very much He had a very close relationship with his grandparents they were basically his parents. He had a very deep connection. He loved his grandma the most, who is no more. He shared the news with Armys while on stage. It was a very heartbreaking to see him like that. He was a very naughty and hyper and extroverted kid. He was happy. He wrote this during I think 2019-2020 period when he was mentally in a very bad place and stuggling. Inner Child always makes me very emotional. He is so strong and motivatea me to better person daily. Couldn't have done it without him and the members. Armys son't forget to stream Friends, RPWP and SGMD.
Every time I hear “Ayo, SUGA”, I smile. Respect is such a fun live performance. Hope you guys will put it on your very extensive list. Inner Child always makes me emotional. Knowing that Tae had RM help him with the lyrics- Taejoon’s relationship is so precious. I love the fondness RM has for young Tae. Jamais Vu is just a super pretty song with a sad message. 😂 I love listening to it, but when I think about the lyrics and their meaning, it always makes me a little sad because I start thinking about past relationships.
Little tidbit about the song, the original lyrics V wrote were "we never change" but then on RM's advice he changed it to "we gonna change" because that's what his story is about since he has maintained his inner child, the innocence even though he has grown up, Inner child is such a sweet song. It really helps me remember to stay connected to my younger self. Even if as adults we're expected to "grow up" and let go of things we used to love as kids, holding onto that part of ourselves is important, fot me it brings a lot of happiness on sad/bad/stressful days to just play video games or fangirl over BTS hahaha. Tae made a really beautiful song
I thought it was "We don't change" got change into "We gonn' change". RM change the original lyrics of V like that to give hope to young V and tell that change is good.
I had forgotten that they had already seen most of MOTS7's songs, this album is so famous and relevant. Remember to listen to the entire album from head to toe, it is another experience to listen to it from the perspective of the storyline guided by the concepts of human psychology of Carl Jung, your head will explode Respect's live performance is the funniest. I hope you see it soon. Namjoon and Yoongi had a lot of fun with this song.
When I first heard Jamais Vu, it immediately went to one of my top bts songs. This kind of song is my jam and it's really a beautiful song, almost gives me the same feels when I listen to Heartbeat
Them saying about running in the beach after hearing V's Inner Child, and me thinking the scene at Jinny's Kitchen during their day off, when Tae went biking and swimming in the lake.
Jamais vu is so heavenly and comforting , inner child gives me goosebumps and its so healing i honestly cry a little, and respect had me boping my head and being in awe about the message impregnated on those bars ! this is def one of my fav bts albums ever 💜
Inner child is definitely one of my fav songs from this album. The way it amps up at the end. Like it leaves you breathless I am so upset that we never got to see this live in a stadium. Imagine the crowd singing in harmony the entire last part of this song. Chills... Ps. I do listen to this song by switching my headphones to concert mode 😅
What’s really cool is the melody itself also represents a jamais vu, because the chorus is so pretty and sing-along-able, that you think you know where it’s going, and then are taken by surprise and feel like it’s a completely new song by the time you get to the chorus! Very meta. Inner Child is gorgeous. It was my most listened to song on spotify last year. The “you’re my boy” part always makes me emotional. “The many thorns on the budding rose, I want to give them a hug.” 🥺 Respect is really cool too, they talk about the latin origin of the word, re = again, spect = to look, so it literally means to look at someone again, like “i see your flaws because i’ve looked at you so much, and still respect you.” And also, “don’t use words you don’t mean”, people say things so easily without thinking about the words they're using, which is so true!
j-hope wrote Jamais Vu. I want to see it performed live more than any other song mostly because I think Jin, j-hope, and Jungkook are the three best live vocalists in BTS and I just know it would make for a powerful stage and sound beautiful!
Inner Child is one of my favorite tracks on the album. I like to listen to BTS song to get the feel of the song before diving more into the lyrics. I had nostalgic feelings and started crying when Inner child was playing. I can't explain it but somehow I felt V's emotions being conveyed through the song. V has a special voice that always soothes me it's always an emotional coaster ride listening to V. I hope you can watch Taehyung sing it live, V got emotional hearing ARMY on the live stream singing back to him.
i kinda wish you would still include some songs that you already did, sometimes it just ties the whole album together when you hear it from start to finish.
Happy Independence Day! I'm sitting here watching this while having a late breakfast and when it came to Inner Child I just found myself with tears streaming down my face. Because when he sings "we gon[na] change" it is acknowledgment that he's struggling even now, or aware of flaws even now, and looking back and seeing how far he's grown is encouragement for positive change yet to come. I think I needed to be reminded of that in my own life today.
You should see the performance of this. V has a little mini me of himself dressed alike and he is singing to him as himself as a little boy. It's from the same performance where Jin performed "Moon" at one of their online concerts during the pandemic. I was crying and didn't even realize it.💜💜💜💜
there's something about inner child that makes me soooo emotional😭 I think the song says a lot about Namjoon's perception of taehyung and their relationship, since Namjoon spoke about his inspiration behind the song and how tae's innocence makes him think of his own inner child. But it also makes me emotional when thinking about taehyung and his journey over the last decade. the member's have frequently said that tae is the most innocent of them, but he has also experienced a lot of changes over the years, as is natural. when he was younger, he was almost manic with energy, so excited all the time to do absolutely anything and everything. over the years as he got older, he matured and calmed down a lot, but seemed to hit a wall around late 2019-2020. at this time, lots of people were concerned, but lots were also saying this was just the new, 'grown up' taehyung - that his personality now is just quiet, reserved, and aloof. in my opinion, it is clear that taehyung was struggling then, and in the last couple years, we have seen taehyung brighten again, and in his happiness, he has revealed that his inner child was there all along. all of this adds even more meaning to the song, even if that wasn't the initial intension behind it. I would do anything to get so see tae perform this live for a stadium singing it back to him
Inner Child was in my thoughts a lot during Layover era as I thought it was such an appropriate song for how Tae would have been so proud to tell his young self...yeah...look at what we have accomplished. We did all this. Believe in yourself my boy. You are capable of all this.
Ok..INNER CHILD..My all time Fav..❤❤❤ Little bit about the song.. The song describes the uncertainty of future that V dreamed when he was a child.. But he is saying to his childhood that today's him is doing great and don't worry and work hard.. It's a message from future V to young V.. Overall it's a song that relates to anyone.. feels nostalgic about own childhood.. IDK about you but everytime this song plays I cried remembering my childhood. The lyrics and V's voice is so hearttouching. Also this was mainly written by RM and V based on V's personal feelings.. Also it would be great if you lookafter the lyrics same as the music.. MOTS album lyrics are the best.. specially Black swan, on and inner child💜️ (others also great)
I just saw a post regarding this album on Twitter, this album had cultural impact and commercial success but sadly it didn't received any nominations. Oh well...u know how Grammy works🤷♀️
I always place this album as my favorite BTS album of all time. But I also hold it closer in my heart because this wad released when covid happened. In turn most all of us never got to experience this tour because it was canceled. This album deserved so much more recognition than it received but unfortunately covid put a halt on that. I'm still have that it broke so many records but imagine what more could've been possible if they were able to tour and or promote more.
11:23 lmao. That is the beauty of the song Jamais vu. The chord progression of the song keeps changing/evolving. It sounds familiar but different. Still one of my fave songs.
One of my fav bts albums is map of the soul 7 , it has banger of songs a no skip album fr , inner child btw in this song tae was singing to his younger self even in the online concert they did he teared up while performing it such an emotional song
I would really love for you guys to watch the live performance of Inner Child (from the MOTS ON:E concert) Whether as a reaction video or just for yourselves. It’s such a gorgeous performance befitting this gorgeous song. Inner Child always, ALWAYS makes me feel so emotional & teary. Even though the lyrics were written for a younger tae, they feel like a warm hug for myself every time.
V's songs tend to be an emotional gut punch, sooo deep , "This song is for the little boy imnida, who worked hard to become who I am today. I'm singing for my past self who was going through a rough time. It's my first bright solo track. I hope my fans will sing along and have fun, like at a festival." - Taehyung
22:12 and the last part were adlibs they decided to keep in the song. They were talking to each other about respect and it sounded good so they decided to keep it XD
Innee child was such an live performance song , live stadium anthem, all army wanted to sing this with tae on live but didn't get this chance , it's very disappointed us... Innee child is very beautiful song what makes all army soo emotional
i will never forgive covid for not letting me experience inner child live i just want to sing “you’re my boy, my boy, my boy, my boy, my boyyyy” to taehyung from the top of my lungs during a concert and 100% mean it 🥹
11:45 Daniel young V was so playful/naughty......bts members used to think he is some cartoon character or some other specie .......he was unbelievable and unique
Just because they say he's a cartoon character doesn't mean he's mischievous. He's very handsome and looks like 3D like Jungkook said. He is the sweetest and most innocent and has been really very emotional since he was young. He already won the alien award 😅 and he is the most beautiful, cutest and sweetest alien
hope you can watch the live performances of all of these songs. they performed it at an online concert bang bang con during the pandemic. i also recommend watching the online concert map of the soul on:e which was during the pandemic.
You said you didn't hear a duo song from rap line... so i suggest you "strange" it's a song by suga and RM and it's soooo good... I enjoyed your reaction and it feel nice to listen to them again with you ✨💛💜
MOTS 7 is such an amazing album. Jamais Vu is beautiful and Respect is so great and fun…Inner Child is my favorite Tae solo. It feels so epic and nostalgic and the live performances of it were so heartwarming. 🥺
Was kinda wishing you had reacted to the live performances as well; so amazing, and lovely concepts, especially Jamais Vous and the way the circular movement symbolized the repetitiveness of the everyday
Greetings from Guatemala! I remember That RM was reviewing MOT 7 on Weverse, he told us Suga and RM were recording it at once. They tried to recording it again or tried to re-touch it, they realized that they couldn't bring the synergy like the first one, so they just kept it as it was. My favorite is Jamais vu. I think it is under rated song.
I am so glad you are doing every album! Inner Child is one of my Top Ten songs, I don’t know if I could ever explain how it touches me ❤. Thanks guys! 💜
Jamais Vu -Jin,JHope, JK Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. They make well balanced songs. Hope u watch the live for this. It may change ur feelings. Love the live set, the fits. To me it was them walking life's journey. Just wow. The feels. I adore songs with feels. I was a slow army. I chose not to pay for this concert thinking I would see it later but it is hard to find in its entirety for free. They were cute. The song is good and funny. I saw this live for the 1st time last year so its still fresh. They silly gooses. Snorts. So glad u liked this one too.
Highly recommend checking out the live performance of "Respect" which RM and SUGA did for one of their online concerts. It's honestly one of the cutest performances ever. They had their own little choreo which J-Hope taught them and everything 🥹😂🔥
Ah..I know that you already listened to most of the album before. But especially with a big album like this one, it would have been better to listen to it from beginning to end to understand what BTS wanted to convey with it. I don't think that you listened to the full version of Shadow yet either. Either way, I love the fact that you are going through all of BTS' discography, and I suppose that when you are done with Proof you will listen to the mixtapes / solo albums, I would just ask of you to try and listen to them entirely at once. That's what BTS themselves always ask us to do 💜 And ofc, thank you for the great content!!
That respect lyric was a horrible translation by the way.... it didn't have half of the lyrics for some reason. Most lyric videos like those are bad I would suggest asking your mods to find good lyric videos for you guys before watching in the future. It's sad you guys don't get the full scope of how funny the song is.
Great reaction as usual! It's unfortunate that the lyric video y'all got for Respect didn't highlight any of the funny bits and conversations Joon and Yoongs were having through their adlibs. I do hope that you guys get a chance to check them out~
BTS really never stop improving themselves. The more they go to learn new things or gain new experience, the better their album will be. Glad to see you still reacting to BTS albums 😊 There are still more of their solo albums left that I'd like you to react to. If you're done reacting to BTS albums and then you can go to their solo albums. Each person's style is unique and very different but they can become one.
I was looking for respect video lyrics that translate Rm and Suga conversation on the song too, but i cant find one that translate it fully from the beginning. it was actually hilarious like they are bickering back and forth lol
Those three songs were so good..but if i have to rank..Jamais vu is on top..i love the harmony..the rap and singing together..Jhope’s rap and Jin and Jungkook’s singing..there’s a live performance of this as well as the other two songs (inner child and respect) i think you should check it out also..😊💜
“I know for a fact you don’t respect me so skip that” “A round of applause to those who’ve mastered smiling in my face while talking ish behind my back” I love these guys so much 😂😂 CALL EM OUT
This album is chef's kiss. The songs open up so much in ourselves to think about. If you have not seen the live performance of each, you have missed some beautiful moments with the guys.

And that is why jimin used to call him alien ....they used that in "friends" song. Also their song whalien ....
hope you can watch the live performances of all of these songs. they performed it at an online concert bang bang con during the pandemic. i also recommend watching the online concert map of the soul on:e which was during the pandemic.
You said you didn't hear a duo song from rap line... so i suggest you "strange" it's a song by suga and RM and it's soooo good...
I enjoyed your reaction and it feel nice to listen to them again with you ✨💛💜
You need to react to their 2020 festa interview or content . Festa that year was awesome because this masterpiece was released back then
MOTS 7 is such an amazing album. Jamais Vu is beautiful and Respect is so great and fun…Inner Child is my favorite Tae solo. It feels so epic and nostalgic and the live performances of it were so heartwarming. 🥺
NEVER set the bar low where V is concerned !🤷🏻♀️ Or BTS for that matter !💜
This album is really good.... Inner child live performance was really amazing.. you guys should check it out...
16:16 LMAOO Daniel says exactly like what I've thought when i heard this song for the first time, without knowing the lyrics😭
Been patiently waiting for MOTS album review 🎉
I am so glad you are doing every album! Inner Child is one of my Top Ten songs, I don’t know if I could ever explain how it touches me ❤. Thanks guys! 💜
Jamais Vu -Jin,JHope, JK
Hi, I am back. Now i know better and buy anything online that they give us. 😅 So glad u liked this one too. Hugs. -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜
Jamais Vu is the opposite of the more well known deja vu. It's when you don't recognise someone or something that should be familiar to you.
Good reaction(Inner Child), ty. Love this song. Love his voice. Feels. The first live from MOTS One i cried. Love his heart so much. He so sweet. Jimin ult, Suga wrecker, OT7. Jimin and Tae are soulmates so of course he has my heart too. Plus, the man is fine! U should see the live of this. UwU

So I don't even know if you'll see this buried beneath all of the other comments, but here are the live performances for each of these songs!! As I'm sure people have already said, V is even better live! His vocals and charisma are absolutely spellbinding.

Good reaction(Respect), ty. They were cute. The song is good and funny. I saw this live for the 1st time last year so its still fresh. They silly gooses. Snorts. So glad u liked this one too.
Inner child is amazing ❤️❤️
The live of inner child is a must watch ❤
Highly recommend checking out the live performance of "Respect" which RM and SUGA did for one of their online concerts. It's honestly one of the cutest performances ever. They had their own little choreo which J-Hope taught them and everything 🥹😂🔥
Abigail, your dress is beautiful. Thank y’all for this video, enjoy watching the reactions.
I really love the album reaction, i love u guys so much
The live performance of Respect is so funny - they fully lean into the 90s hiphop vibe.
13:34 you have to watch the live performance of this ❤
Best K-pop reaction, this channel can appreciate good music❤
Ah..I know that you already listened to most of the album before. But especially with a big album like this one, it would have been better to listen to it from beginning to end to understand what BTS wanted to convey with it. I don't think that you listened to the full version of Shadow yet either.
Either way, I love the fact that you are going through all of BTS' discography, and I suppose that when you are done with Proof you will listen to the mixtapes / solo albums, I would just ask of you to try and listen to them entirely at once. That's what BTS themselves always ask us to do 💜
And ofc, thank you for the great content!!
I do hope that you guys get a chance to check them out~
great reaction guys!!☺💜💜💜
BTS really never stop improving themselves. The more they go to learn new things or gain new experience, the better their album will be.
Glad to see you still reacting to BTS albums 😊
There are still more of their solo albums left that I'd like you to react to. If you're done reacting to BTS albums and then you can go to their solo albums. Each person's style is unique and very different but they can become one.
I'm SO excited for that one!!!
Jamais Vu is in my top 5 BTS songs. That melody gets me every time.
I was looking for respect video lyrics that translate Rm and Suga conversation on the song too, but i cant find one that translate it fully from the beginning. it was actually hilarious like they are bickering back and forth lol
Jamais Vu is so underrated
Yes😢
Inner child always makes me emotional 😭. I really feel so related with this song
Omgggg this album made me an army!!!!
Those three songs were so good..but if i have to rank..Jamais vu is on top..i love the harmony..the rap and singing together..Jhope’s rap and Jin and Jungkook’s singing..there’s a live performance of this as well as the other two songs (inner child and respect) i think you should check it out also..😊💜
Those three albums.. I don't know how to explain.. Iconic
Just a reminder that “hyung” is what a younger male would say to a closer older male. So yoongi wouldn’t say that to namjoon
No way (MOTS) my all time favorite album 🔥
yesss jamais vu is one of my fav songs
OMG i jump right into your video after saw the cover💜💜💜
Respect has very fun performance, it is pure joy, we call it "propose choreo" 😁
YES FINALLYY 😭 MOTS7 HAS MY WHOLE HEART
Inner child is just a very beautiful and emotional one and I'll never get tired of hearing it...
You should for sure listen to full album in one sit bc it flows sooooo good, do it in order, believe, it is great order....
I really like this album. Really glad you listened to it.💜
I love it when people underestimate V and then he's like- Hold my beer😂 Only he can bring out all these emotions
Borahae Tae💜💜
“I know for a fact you don’t respect me so skip that”
“A round of applause to those who’ve mastered smiling in my face while talking ish behind my back”
I love these guys so much 😂😂 CALL EM OUT
This album is chef's kiss. The songs open up so much in ourselves to think about. If you have not seen the live performance of each, you have missed some beautiful moments with the guys.
