The Foxes got their Christmas bonus early! I would love to see them battle the giants someday, but they had no need to try it this time around. The idea of using crossbows was a good one. What's that initialism, again? PPPPPP: "Perfect Planning Prevents P!$s-Poor Performance"!
I know it's weird to jump into a series this long and ask questions like this but why do you assume perfect information for your party? Like I get you gotta make up the manticores/frost giants situation but how would the party know the entire situation correctly and instantly?
I thought that was a very cool interpretation of the Oracle deck. I like the fact that the manticore is trying to melt the realm of the frost giants.

They didn’t know it. The party only acted on the fact that they saw the manticore - they didn’t know they were “helping” the giants.
