    It is CRIMINAL that this doesn’t have more views! Thanks for the comparison!

    I’m getting these delivered in a few hours. I, just like you, use the SM7B, but I feel like sometimes it gets in the way of the action when gaming.

    do you think this would work well in a live setting as am events DJ. Announcements including wedding intros to free your hands to work your controller.

    Might want to run a de-esser for the sibilants there. Great video though.

      I definitely would in a real setting - but for the purposes of the video there's literally no processing on any of the mic signals aside from the gain adjustments!

    Would this possibly work with a XLR to 3.5mm adapter to plug into a soundcard? Or would that adapter bring the sound quality down?

      Why would you want to do that when you could get the USB version? Genuinely curious
      Also that wouldn't give you enough voltage for phantom power, I don't think.

      @@NickzAndMikz because I wanted to take advantage of my soundcard rather than just the USB

      I found a video from CES where the sales rep said XLR to 3.5mm would not give the proper phantom voltage.@@Knifes-and-Gear-Insights

    Can these be used as a regular gaming headset; does it just plug into a Ps 4 or Ps 5 controller like a regular gaming headset?

      According to audio technica the USB-version does work with the ps5 but it isn’t officially licensed.

    Great video, The SM7B with cloud lifter was still the boss. Writing this before i hear your review.

    • @PlaytechNZ
      @PlaytechNZ  ปีที่แล้ว

      The SM7B + Cloud lifter is definitely a great mic setup, that's undeniable! But the M50xSTS is a third of the price which makes it amazing value - especially because it's got the great headphones!

      @@PlaytechNZ Yeah I 100% agree with your review after the testing. I love the M50x's just as headphones. Altho mine current have a broken cable haha
