Brandon deserves so much recognition for his last record with Enterprise Earth and then going and doing the next Whitechapel record. Those stylistic differences scream versatility.
The little flams on the kicks are fucking sick. So happy Brandon is Whitechapel, we already seen Alex Rudinger open a new page of Whitechapel cant wait for the Brandon era of Whitechapel if this is the entry to it.
Alex Rudinger’s work with WHITECHAPEL just made me resent the loss of Ben Harclerode, but this original drum track by Brandon is an absolutely fucking wild composition of technical heaviness.
@@The_KlaVra If those two sanitized albums are your pick of their works, why tf do you bother listening to an OG deathcore band when you wish they played a softer, lamer brand of music.
WOW! If Brandon maintains this moreish flavour of hectic drum composition for the remainder of the album, I won’t have to murderously curse the day Ben Harclerode quit his phenomenal WHITECHAPEL drumming duties anymore.
@@AaronNemeth Just had a back & forth with 3 others who all rate Ben’s drumming as the worst of WHITECHAPEL albums and that “he tried to be too technical just for the sake of being technical”. LMFAO! IMO Ben’s the best drummer they’ve ever had and his feet were light years beyond every other drummer who played with them. To this day, I still listen to his brutally heavy compositions he recorded on OUR ENDLESS WAR. Edit : You’re a man of exceptional taste Aaron. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I really, really love how in metal is so natural seeing members of bands wearing shirts of other metal bands that practically always are less heavy than their own band what is totally understandable because bands in shirts are older and for sure idol and influence of who is wearing it. It's like they're successfully achieving the main goal of making metal music heavier without forgetting the ones that marked the way.
Every Single .... & I mean EVERY Single Whitechapel Drummer has Kicked Butts on their respective Albums, so 1 thing I wouldn't doubt Whitechpel bringing on would be the Drumming. Hope You've shown Higher Levels on the Tracks yet to be heard 🥁💥
beautiful drums, did not overplay anything at all. double bass used well throughout the song, the cymbals and everything complimenting the song instead of defining it. Just wow!
I really think this is my favorite drummer whitechapel has had since the this is exile days. Ben was good but, he just seemed like he played over the top technological just for the sake of being technical
I 100% agree with this, Kevin lane is a machine and this is exile just proves it, he definitely was underrated in his time with Whitechapel if you ask me, but Brandon Zackey is proving to be a machine himself and he’s become my second favourite Whitechapel drummer
I 100% unequivocally disagree with that assessment of the many outstanding drum tracks penned by Ben within the discography of WHITECHAPEL. Ben Harclerode’s compositions are my favourite by far and the heaviest ever written for WHITECHAPEL (e.g.) Our Endless War contains absolutely incredible drumming but would’ve sucked and been a lot less heavier sans Ben’s contributions. Alex Rudinger is a great drummer, but I despise KIN on all levels … his drum tracks included. It’s heartening to see WHITECHAPEL finally returning to the core sound which made their name and made me a fan. This is fucking ballistic drumming by Brandon and I pray he maintains this technical brutality throughout the entire album. The official music video didn’t do this song’s drumming justice, so thank the universe for the ability to visually appreciate the complexity of Brandon’s note structure and technique of delivery via the drum playthrough. Edit : Regarding Ben’s technicality irking you (while enthralling me) there is no space between the plethora of notes anywhere along the duration of this complex drum track by Brandon … yet you’re super impressed by it.🤔
Clean as fuck! I love Alex but the one thing live that bugged me is he would drag tempo occasionally. When I saw them live during the Valley cycle, I could swear that when Alex was filling in with them, they were playing like 10bpm slower, which sounded off.
He looks so happy while playing this! Excellent playthrough.
He’s the happiest drummer in metal!

That open-hand playing is wild. This dude is a monster.
we now need bass playthrough
Bass is just the top string on all 3 guitars 😂
Cleaner than a nun's cooter
😂
Well, well 😏

No, those are crusty with cobwebs 🤣🤣🤣 sorry just had to say something because that was great.

What a phenomenal drummer
Had the pleasure of seeing him live recently, and Brandon is SOOOOO freaking tight and sounds exactly like the record!
1:40 to 1:45 is SO bad ass! Creative and heave AF. 🤘
Those doubles on the kick are so fucking clean holy hell
so sick! next video has to be the whole band together doing the song 🙏

The blast at 2:54 is as clean as it gets, bravo
Zackey’s style is so good man. Gonna give this new album a whole new layer of groove and confidence.
Aint gonna lie i watched the video just to see what you played exactly at 1:41 because it sounded so good within the song !
he looks so happy, while playing such a devastating,village-arsoning song.

Effin sick 🤘 I love the use of the toms. Also, great double kick technique.
The double strokes are glorious.
Very smooth playing. Amazing to see the playing in action. New album will surely be out of this world🎉
Absolutely ripped that song up dude. Nice job! 🥁
awesome dude !! Really nice to finally watch how you are playing those parts:)!!!
Drum sound is so tasty and natural, love it.
That snare sounds killer!!
Awesome job Brandon!👏🔥
That fill at 35 sec in is just so tasteful
I don’t I’ve ever seen someone play open handed like that, that’s sick
He’s happy and enjoying the ride!!
Great play through B!
He has a serious Matt Greiner vibe and I love it
Snare sounds absolutely massive 💪
Love your work with our hometown band. Keep up the great drumming much love from here in Knoxville Tennessee 🤘🏻

YESSIRRRR!
When the double kick goes doubletime his feet are positioned in the middle and it seems to kick 2 times per press, mans got himself a cheat pedal lol.
The technique is heel toe.
Beast 🤌
I thought that was a Pearl Vision kit for a second on an Icon rack for a second. What kind of drums are they?
Mapex

Is this the brother of Marco Minnemann? Both smiling so much while playing 🤷🤣

Do Mark of the Blade by them
Is this the same kit as what you played on tour?
What about Rüdinger?
Probably busy with the 57 other bands he’s in
He wqs just a studio drummer that filled in for them. Never meant to be full time
Noice!

Drum one take play through ✅
Bass one take play through…………
You're missing a kick drum
tbh, Although Whitechapel is obviously the bigger band, such a shame he left Enterprise Earth for money.
why does it look sped up
you are right
Possible has to do with the 30fps frame rate. Idk that's my best guess
It’s not….
Because he's that fast and that precise.✌🏻
Terrible camera angle
Still a better drummer than Lars
