I just cut my hair shoulder length from hip length and I was really scared at first but I’m glad I did it because it grows back anyway. Drying takes much shorter and I use less product. But I have to say I also really love my long curly hair.
Omg ok, one last thing. Anyone else have the shed hairs you find somehow get curlier than the ones on your head?! Like dangit, I want the whole head like that LOL

I ended up chopping it all off (donated, don't worry lol) and still can't get it to do the dang thing like the shed hairs 🤣. Oh well hahaha it'll look way cuter once it's grown out.

I do this, my hair is never fully dry but it is usually 80-90% dry an hour after wakong up. I take the plop out right when I wake up.

I had the exact same hair as you, down to the length. I cut it 2 weeks ago and I love it! It's very versatile; you can go for a cute gamine look (works with cottagecore outfits) or a sophisticated chic vibe.
SO much better on washdays too ;)

My hair was past my shoulders but i was noticing that my curls were being weighed down by the length so i decided to get a chop recently and i loveee it. My curls are so much more bouncy and defined
bro everytime i sleep with my curls its tangly frizzy in the morning-
It’s impossible to not experience some tangling and frizz. People just use different techniques to reduce the amount. A lot of people wrap their hair in a silky fabric or use a silk pillowcase to help reduce the amount friction that can happen from a normal cotton pillowcase. Maybe that would help you.
I think you would look so good in a bob! Even if you have second thoughts, you already know how to grow your hair pretty fast!

I have always tend to style my hair when its wet or damp, been doing it since I was a little girl my hair feels too slippery when dry and won't stay where I want it. think I'm type 3a/b somewhere between mid back to hip length.
I'm feeling the curly bobs too and I feel the same way. I don't wanna cut all the growth 😭🤣.
And I tried the wet hair plop, and NOOOOPE. Shizz takes two days to dry LOL. The only time mine will dry is if I mist it a little. It has to be the smallest amount, and at that point I might as well do it in the morning.

i think the best thing i ever did for my hair was cut it to my shoulders after having down to my bunda my whole life. my curls healthier than ever and my arms aren't getting a whole workout and the water bills down 🤣🤣 if u needed a sign to do it HERE U GO ✂

My hair is high porosity, I can wash it, and style it in the shower, get out, and go somewhere and it’ll be dry when I get to wherever I’m going. It’ll start drying as soon as I stop wetting it. So yeah going to sleep with wet hair and waking up dry is a thing, and I’ve got 3b/4a

I have cut my hair to bob length 3 times in my life.
First time was in 8th grade, second in 10 grade i believe, and one was 4 years later, at the beginning of this year.
The first time i hated it, and i was happy when it grew again.
The second time my best friend had a bob and another one had a long bob... i did the long bob and liked it more because it didnt look that short.
But it really bothered me, that my hair was so differnet textured. In the short back my hair was straight, the longer mids were wavy and the long front were curly.
Than the third time i did a normal bob, that got just a little bit longer to the front, and than a bit shorter as a face framing at the front. And that third time was my favorite. I was just so over my long hair. I watched big chops and everything for hours everyday, i dreamed!!! About cutting my hair etc.
So my advice. If u look at your long hair and all u think is: i dont want to chop it.
Dont do it.
But if u think: i dont want to chop it, but i kinda want to chop it...
Do it. U will either chop it and regret it like i the first two times, but trust me having the hair short a few times will get u to love it.
Or u will like it from the start.
If u are thinking: i hate my long hair, it doesnt look right (for example u want tight curls and because your hair is so long they dont really curl that much anymore) its so much work, it needs so much product, i want to get rid of my hair.
If u think that, cut it. U will love it.
Omg I tried to sleep in a plop even after like 4 hours of air dry time and my hair was still hella wet when I woke up 8 hours later and I have wayyy less hair than that girl. Like nah.

A curly bob would look so good on you! I say switch it up if you're feeling the itch, it'll grow back before you know it anyway and who knows you may love it so much you never wanna grow it back
The weird this is that I also sleep with my hair in a plop when my hair is wet and a pineapple when it’s dry but when I plop me hair when wet it isn’t dry by the next morning but most of the moisture is gone my curls always turn out flawless when it do it.

I don’t have curly hair yet but it’s half and half cuz I’m transitioning all I do is plait it in the shower and then while it’s wet I dry it and sleep with my bonnet and it’s still wet and when I wake up the outside is dry but when I open my plait that area is still wet. Then I comb it and oil it and put in a bun or plait. I would love to put products and all that but I’ll just wait till my natural hair fully comes back

Literally nothing I do or try makes my curls not go flat at night =\ I get one MAYBE two days of wearable curls then it has to go in a bun bc my curls never stay defined

@@LanaSummer something I'd reccomend doing if you were thinking of going shorter but feel a bit unsure, is do as many different hairstyles that you can only really do with your long hair for a few weeks perhaps maybe even a month, and then maybe youll feel more at ease with cutting it💇♀️🤷♀️so like saying goodbye to your long hair very slowly which is better in my eyes than just cutting it on an impulse. just a suggestion but honestly i think that curly bob look would look amazing on you seriously... But you look amazing with your long hair too🙂

In my country it is not common to see sleeping with wet hair as something normal. It can cause mould which is why it is not something that is advised to do. It’s more like culture, your mom and grandma will tell you not to do it
I'm British and my mum always told me I'd get sick if I slept, or went out with wet hair. Especially in winter!

I made a deal with my mom that I'll let my hair grow out, then when I turn 18 its all going away. Currently it's about 1/4 down my back so by the time I'm 18 it'll be 3/4.

I’m a mother who is living in a mold infested mobile home that keeps me sick .The doctors are saying the only way that I can start getting better is if I put myself in a better environment, but I can’t afford it. Maybe you could wear a curly bob wig for a month and if you love it, then you can do a chop or just switch between wigs and regular hair (unless you hate wigs).
