Thanks!!!!!someone finally shooting at night. I swear every other f video where there like...were gonna see what device supresses the flash best but they shoot it at 2pm in f Arizona. Thank you for doing this at night. ....Holy shit!
The Warden was not made to reduce flash signature but to redirect energy and sound forward away from the shooter and his mates in a prone, CQB or indoor range situation. If you are in a field at night (take it off haha), use your SF 3-prong and a SF fast attach suppressor if you have one. I use that exact setup on my 13.7.
It is but was replaced during Vietnam War after it kept getting caught up, snagged on everything while troops were moving in the jungle. But its design hiding flash is superior plus it’s a weapon in itself too with those mean prongs.
thank you! I was really curious about the flash signature on the warden w a 16in barrel. I've only ever seen them on short barrels, which expectedly made fireballs, but I figured it might be better on a longer barrel. I was also hoping the warden might do something to actually reduce flash on longer barrels, but as you showed, the warden still increases flash signature substantially. Too bad, really can't be dealing w NFA shit at this point in my life
Only 3 shots so hard to know, but the Warden likely suffers from the same as a can & even the 3 prong, of “1st round pop”. Where there’s too much fresh, oxygenated air in and around the device, it’s gonna burn. The 3 prong even did it (to a MUCH lesser extent) on 1st shot. So I wonder if you had kept going, if that warden would hide super well, or toss fireballs every 5-6th shots…
u should have done a keymo muzzle brake (which obviously will have fireball) but after do the warden on it and see if it helps all of us who have keymo brakes on some uppers
The ping sound goes away the more you shoot. It needs carbon buildup on the prongs to stop the sound. It only happens on virgin muzzle devices. Might went away around the 700 round mark
You can have a flash hidercon an AR-15 in California, but your AR needs to have a maglock device. If you havecone on, you can have all the evil features: pistol grip, vertical grip, retaractable stock and flash hider
I have multiple 3 and 4 prongs and nobody has said nothing to me at the range I frequent. Even the surrounding cities PD SWAT teams that train at my range have said nothing when asking to shoot my builds. I’ve even bought them direct from the surefire HQ in OC and walked out with them and no ID was asked at register
This is exactly what I was looking for thank you 🙏🏻. Suppressing flash is huge for me and suppressors are super expensive. Shame about the warden though, I saw it on SFs website and it looked cool and was wondering if it suppressed the flash at all but all the videos I’ve found on YT were not at night
This is not a flash suppressor! This is a blast mitigation device and training aid for suppressors but this really helps with indoor ranges as well as concussive blast outside and actually really helps with precision shooting while prone and helping to stay and get back on target quicker. This is a non NFA tax stamp item which if it was a suppressor you’d need to apply for the tax stamp to buy one
Absolutely, three prong rocks on everything. When running 300 blackout, especially subsonic, there is very little powder to burn and you don’t get a whole lot of flash. I recommend a three prong on all battle rifles.
3 prong is king, but maybe shoot the sure fire some more? Idk anything about it, but if you ever shoot suppressed just know the first shot will be the loudest and may even flash. Warm up the suppressor with the first shot especially in cold weather. Maybe same for the surefire? Yes I know thats ridiculous and voids the entire point of the flash hider. Yall may not like this but has he shot the surefire prior to this video and got everything out of the new cone? That could contribute to the giant fireball. Long story short, 3 shots aint enough, we just need a lil more
Useless demo. Your video frame rate was too slow to capture the flashes. A much better video on flash hiders is from the “Condavour Talks Guns” channel which used high speed and IR cameras to show differences in flash hiders. Upgrade your video equipment if you intend to do more technical videos.

Thanks man! I appreciate your input!
This is a balanced thoughtful comment. There are actual use cases. A little critical thinking goes a long way.
What was mounted under the warden! Does the 3 Pong under the warden not work?
@@anthonyblend9917 Exactly, it does work well and using that alone noticeably reduces weight. Ultimately people can do what they want of course.
Three prong is king

It gives aaay your position... A2 gang for life
Three prong was made to cut wire and open c rations , it was made like that , sucks that it did get caught on everything
@Big_Bruv_Innit Most of the unorganized militia is bloodlines that have been here since the 1600's
Bulgarian four piece has no flash
3-prongs are fucking nuts. Getting one when I get an MPX
Sick!

😂😂😂
Same.
Ammo choice makes a big difference i had some lake city winchester 193 that was blinding in the daylight
These are things a lot of people don't take into consideration.
Looked like the warden only flamed on the first shot? The following two looked pretty good?
It actually flammed on all three. I made the mistake of recording at 30fps and it didn’t catch the second two shots.
Was the Warden used in conjunction with the 3 prong or just on its own?
It was used icw with the 3 prong. When used with the surefire muzzle break, the blast is even bigger!
Great information. Had moderate trouble hearing the person shooting in a couple of places.
What was mounted under the warden?
Any chance of some footage from in front of muzzle? (Off to the side obviously, but simulating being on the receiving end of incoming fire)
Updated video coming soon
Also want to see that too. That would be a more realistic scenario when returning fire against enemy combatants
Thats what I was looking for. Thanks.
Surefire 3 prong vs SureFire Warcomp Flash Hider….any experience

So a 16 inch with a three prong doesnt need a suppressor for the flash itself? Am I understanding this correctly?
I mean, the 3 prong is the flash supressor
What handguard is that?
Now do same with a Dynacom, KVP linear, and Witt machine SME.
ive got an 11.5, with a bird cage the flash is INSANE. I need a 3 prong
I now have a 3 prong because of this video.
Is the 3 prong unit made by surefire?
correct
Warcomp.
u should have done a keymo muzzle brake (which obviously will have fireball) but after do the warden on it and see if it helps all of us who have keymo brakes on some uppers
You can’t fit a warden with a keymo. Surefire directs mount with surefire unless you buy an adapter to match the threads
Thoughts on the Gamma muzzle brake?
Good test
Thank you!
Hey does the 3 prong have any ping noise?
Yes it does, if you throw a suppressor on it it goes away though 👍
The ping sound goes away the more you shoot. It needs carbon buildup on the prongs to stop the sound. It only happens on virgin muzzle devices. Might went away around the 700 round mark
Flash hiders is a no no in Commiefornia. Warcomp would be my choice otherwise.
Everything is a no go in cali 😢
🤢 I’m sorry for your loss

@@Hispeed1this is true, best combo I’ve found is the houge freedom fighter paired with a juggernaut.
Was that the warden over the 3 prong? Or just by itself
the warden is a can and compensator combo
What was the Warden on?
what 3 prong flash hider did you use? I am trying to ind one that I can mount a suppressor to as well
Look at SiCo’s three prong.
surefire’s 3 prong

It would be nice if you didn’t have the flash light in the way . Redo it with out the flash light .
I'm curious how the warden sounds compared to the others. I mostly shoot suppressed but have been curious if it knocks the tone down or something.
All the sound is directed forward. Slightly quieter that a muzzle break.
The Warden worked like a suppressor, The first round had a flash, but the follow-up shots outperformed the birdcage.
I can't own suppressors in my country, do you think SOCOM 3 prong would be a good choice for .300 BLK?
Absolutely, three prong rocks on everything. When running 300 blackout, especially subsonic, there is very little powder to burn and you don’t get a whole lot of flash. I recommend a three prong on all battle rifles.

Which 3 prong flash hider did you guys use?
Surefire 3 prong
Three is good. Four is better. Thanks for the share!!
C'mon guys, just 3 rounds for this test? We did see them perform but the Warden had a huge 1st blast, let them run to 5 - 10 rounds a piece.
the refresh rate of consumer-grade cameras aren't going to reliably capture muzzle flash like this.
It’s a called a blast diffuser
3 prong is awesome I can’t hear the ring everyone cries about.
New subscriber 👍🏽
How about film from a direction that will be receiving the fire, not from the side. 🤪
Simonis Ferry
Thanks, just save me a lot of money by not buying a flash hider & warden combination for three rifles
Is a good combination during the day and in houses. In the evening you just take it off.
Take the light off

@N7mudkipagreed! I was thinking the same.
L take. Video was good actually
@@taylorwright2282I agree
You make a better one. This guy took his own time to make a video to help someone with this question.
