Just pull the rubber cover forward to expose the 2 bolts
You just saved me alot of wrench throwing by showing how to get off the rubber protectors. I just picked up a 2018 a few months back and I'm slowly youtubing how to take everything apart because it's all complicated to do it yourself on these now

@@AndrewDoesLife I got a velocity blue 2018 XLT sport it came stock, I've done leveling kit, and the bullbar now, I got tow mirrors coming, some carbon fiber trim to match what already came on the truck and I'm looking into a SCT Programmer and Roush cold air intake next

Does that bull bar interfere with the front Camera for park assist and collision warning. Is it an armadillo bull bar. I just ordered one. Thanks. Good video
It does not interfere with the front collision warning at all. My truck does have a front facing camera, but I don’t think it would sit high enough to block the view of it did
Can you use the bull bar as a recovery point if you ever get stuck?
I don’t see why not. They’re mounted to the same mounting points as the tow recovery hooks are
Way too small for a full size trucks. Those look like theyre more for a mid sized truck
Ehh idk man this thing looked great on my 2006 F150 too and that thing was a tank!! Haha to each their own! The mounting points were perfect for the light bar I just installed on it 😎🔥

Great video. I’m changing my hooks because I have the chrome ones and the are marked up from the straps from shipping. You made it easy to pull them off without removing the bumper. You have to change the headlights to something smoked.
Thanks joe. Yeah I really think the biggest thing missing from my truck is the headlights. Everything else had that nice smoked or blacked out look but the headlights just look out of place now

Awesome! I want to install one on my 2008 Ford F-150 triton,it doesn’t have tow hooks do you have any tips?
I installed one on my 13 . Follow the frame to the front of the plastic shroud and start cutting from there. I used a 1/4 " paddles bit and a jig saw. Cut a little at a time. And go from there.

I am not sure. I have had that question from a few people, if I notice any issues I will update y’all 👍🏻
Love your videos. My question is, will this Bull Bar mess up the airflow for the intercooler and will it mess up the anti collision sensor?
So far I have noticed no issues. I will update if there is any difference with the sensors of the intercooler
I know a guy that put one of those obnoxious light bars on his bull bar and his temps went up a little but without the lights it stayed the same.
@@BamaDave501 yeah I mean there’s still plenty of room for air flow with this thing so I can’t imagine it making any noticeable difference with it just being the bull bar. Adding a light bar to it I could definitely see causing a problem though

Might be a dumb question but what is the benefit of a bull bar vs a brush guard or big off-road bumper.
Bull guards are cheaper and easier installed
Weight, gas mileage, protection and looks.
@@BamaDave501 I’ve got an iron cross front bumper on my truck. It turns deer into ground venison at 65. Those bull bars look like they wouldn’t stop nearly as much as even a grille guard.
A full on brush guard or off road bumper will offer far more protection from day a deer or other animals at high speeds. Bull bars are honestly more of a cosmetic addition (in my opinion) rather than an actual safety/guard feature.
@@gingie5246 right, that's why I said protection and I think they make the truck look way tougher. The trade off is the 300+lbs and the gas mileage cost versus new headlights and grills. I have a bull bar on mine. Partly because I can't afford a big one and partly because it's a 2WD and I can't make myself put even fender flares on it let alone a huge grill guard. If I did I might as well buy a dodge and pull the tow mirrors out. It would look just as stupid.
