This recently completed customer-specific platform is designed and built around the fast and reliable WEISS LS280 Linear Transfer System, consisting of:
· (2) Double Locking Cam Sections with a 70mm indexing pitch
· (2) Single Locking Cam Sections with (1) 70mm indexing pitch and (1) 280mm indexing pitch
· (36) Custom Pallets
· (6) Carrier Supports
· (4) Custom Top Support Plates
· and an RFID System.
The customer’s specific drive components include a total of (19) HP70 Pick & Place units, (1) HP140 Pick & Place Unit, (HG12, HL50 and HN100 linear motor axes) and a TW150 torque rotary table with hybrid drive. Utilizing WEISS handling components and WEISS Application Software allows for a tested and efficiently commissioned system to be production ready in a fraction of the time.
Also included as part of this one-source-solution are custom fabricated chassis, cabinets, and control panels, utilizing fully wired and parameterized WEISS-control packages. Proprietary guarding is also included by MBKit, a WEISS North America subsidiary, to further add value, cost-effectiveness and efficiency when choosing to partner with WEISS.
Once this advanced automation platform is integrated and installed into the customer’s production environment, it will operate with a cycle time of 2-seconds per assembly at a production rate of 1,800 parts per hour and perform multiple manufacturing processes, to include:

· Dispensing
· Spinning
· Laser Marking
· And Pressing of Assemblies
