Lol, yes. Love it! What did I forget this time. Need to make a Walmart run,😂. Different Walmart have camping gear that your local Walmart might not have.
I am going camping at lake superior for a week with my wife, baby and dog. I realized my solo gear doesnt apply at all and ended up buying everything you can think of. I spent almost 10k and thats not including having to get a hitch installed on my land rover. Even with all the best gear I could think of it is still cheaper than a normal trip and now we are set up for years. I should make a video of our campsite because I have not seen anyone on youtube with a loadout like this for car camping. Im pretty excited to use it and buying it all with that budget was really fun. I rented a uhaul trailer to bring the gear because the dog gets the entire trunk for the 12 hour drive we have.

Helpful tip with your toilet paper, keep in plastic bag so it stays dry and it helps to rip a bunch of decent size pre torn sheets so its easier to grab and dont get messy, i actually do this for tracking blood trails in deer season but also good for whatever
Yes for sure!! Love it!! In fact we actually have a roll in zip lock bags in all our vehicles...for those moments when the kiddos can't make it to the next stop or if you're stuck out in the middle of nowhere and/or stranded. Bring a tinfoil boyscout, WW2 can opener to barely survive...but also bring the metal hotdog skewers, and giant plastic spatula.? Lolz. Hey! Just bring the big rubber grip, good can opener at this point my dooder!!! Great vid tho, and fun family times!!!

Loved the video!! we are planning our camping trip and there was a few things i had forgot. and by the way you really look like a Telenovela star whose name is Luis Roberto Guzman you seriously do look like him. hahaha thanks for the camping video your kids look like they had a great time.
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words!! Also thank you for the compliment, I had never heard of Luis Roberto Guzman before - he's a handsome dude :) I hope you have an awesome camping adventure! Drop back in and let me know how it goes!!
Awesome you rock!! So glad you like the video and that you're getting into camping. Being outside with our family is the BEST!! Stay tuned for more vids coming very very soon!!
Have not watched the video yet but I already know its going tome a good one 💪 Edit I'm going camping on a island with my dad soon I have not been camping for about 7 years thanks
Wife didn’t look too pleased, did she end up liking camping? Thanks for the video, very useful. I want to take my kids camping this year now they are a bit older.
Haha she's still on the fence... You're welcome - thank you so much for watching!!! Happy Camping and future adventures :) I need to make an updated video soon - my kids aren't so little any more :(
(Guy grabs towel) " I bet some of you guys don't know this but I was an eagle scout. So I'm always prepared for the unexpected" " This is a sham towl..." (Puts towel down) Damn brother. Glad you learned something from the scouts.
Canna710 just a silly explanation why I even have a sham towel - probably would have been more effective and actually hilarious if it was an empty box and that was the only thing in it 🤣 Obviously that’s not the only thing I learned from scouts - but if you have kids, then you know - sometimes you might have to clean up all kinds of bodily fluids and you’ll need something with much better absorption than a paper towel without sacrificing too much room that a tradition towel would take up. Hence: sham. Thanks for watching!!
Jessica kent thank you very much!! I hope you have a blast!! I’ll be posting some new vids very soon; we are currently on a father/son adventure testing out an RV trailer and my thoughts on getting one or not getting one coming sooooon so don’t forget to subscribe :)
How don't you have more followers?? This is great. Perfect. Going camping this weekend for my birthday with people who have never been camping so this is a great guide for what I should bring since no one else will have it
Vanessa Lorenzo thank you so much!!! I’m excited for you; we’re headed camping this weekend too :) This is obvious not a perfect list and some things you’ll never use some you will and some you’ll find you need that I don’t have etc. It’s just fun being outdoors especially with friends and family. Away from the distractions and being outside is my favorite way to recharge!! Have fun!!
Nice video, I live in Hawaii with my wife and 2 year old son. I love to go camping/ fishing. Don’t know how to do it with a family. I normally fish all day and night in the hot sun on the lava rocks. And if I need sleep I just sleep in the truck. Now I have to bring a tent, and actual food. It’s all new to me. I guess I also need a first aid kit now.
Montana White hahaha yes, camping with family is definitely a new challenge in and of itself! Comfort for them is key, otherwise they’re not going to want to come back. Also, doing things together - it’s easy to get board if you’re not used to the incredible stillness that nature has to offer - so think about what you need to bring to include them in your fishing activities or other things you can do together ☺️ Thanks for watching!! Don’t forget to subscribe
My wife and I are going camping next week for my 34th birthday and I haven't been since I was a kid, shes never been. I've watched a lot of camping videos and yours is by far the best I've seen. Thank you!
Bebe King thank you very much and thanks for watching!! Any specific videos you’d like for us to make in the future? More adventure vids?? Let us know 🧔🏻👍🏻
YESSS I love it! I think that's a great idea and you never can be "too" safe or prepared when camping in my opinion! Thanks for stopping by the channel!!
Marisol B. Thank you!!! Our family camping adventures certainly wouldn’t be as fun without our kiddos around. I believe in teaching them about the wonderful bliss of being outdoors and respect for nature :) Thank you for watching + commenting!!
Thank you for your wonderful video. And all the information we need to know to go camping. You are awesome. And have a beautiful family. I'm going camping this weekend. Santa Margarita Lake in Cali. Happy camping.
Thank you so much! The wagon actually was provided by the state park that we were camping at - which was nice b/c the campsite we reserved was quite a hike! Happy Camping!
OMG your kids are adorable! Nice family time. As an avid camper I started taking and teaching my son how to when he was 5, Yosemite. Any younger would’ve been difficult for me to pitch tent etc since I’m a single mom and had to watch him closely. He’s 23 now and loves nature, off roading and camping are his thing as well as mine.
carmen martinez that’s awesome!! Definitely thankful to make awesome memories with my family :) Thanks for watching and especially taking the time to drop me a comment!!!
Awesome video man thank you. Taking a trip this weekend and keep coming back to this to make sure I have what we will need. What should I get, an air mattress or pads for me and wife? Thanks
Andres Colin awe man thank you so much!! I vote pads - they aren’t necessarily any “less comfortable” than an air mattress would be (and I would argue the pads are more comfortable) and they are far less cumbersome to carry around. I have some self inflating pads that are really comfy and roll up nice and tight when you’re done. The cost of the pads all depends on whether or not you want to take them backpacking (where you’d want them to be very light in weight) or “car camping” like we do as a family where you can sacrifice a little “weight” for price. I hope that helps!! Feel free to ask me more questions. I promise I will be adding more camping gear/camping videos in the next few weeks!!
Woody Brown thanks! I’ll go for the pads then. Are there any you recommend? Also, do you use a big sleeping bag for you and your wife or each their individual? Thanks man!
Andres Colin I found some inexpensive sleeping pads at academy and REI. I use separate sleeping bags for myself and my wife - manly b/c I get hot really easily and she gets cold really easily so this way we can regulate our own individual temperatures. Also, I do more camping on my own (or with one of the kids) than I do with her - so the double person sleeping bag wouldn’t get as much use for us. The cool thing about gear is that over time your needs change and so your gear will evolve. If you end up with gear that you don’t like as much keep it but get something else for the next season; always keep gear around and take good care of it, you never know when a family member or friend might want to join you for a campout and they may not have much gear :) Another pro tip: when you get home from your campout (if it’s a sunny dry day) lay out your tent, tarps and let it air out for a few hours - trust me - there’s nothing worse than getting to camp, opening your tent only to discover it smells like mold + mildew!!!
Woody Brown great advice man! I finally ordered a few self inflating pads as you suggested. I’m now searching for chairs. This is an expensive hobby lol 😝
@@andrescolintv I'm glad I could help!! hahaha - yes, camping gear get's $$$$ - don't worry about getting it all at once. Btw you can find pretty inexpensive camp chairs at big box places like Walmart.
Alana's Take - AWESOME thank you for watching!! I hope you and your family have a great time!! Right now is perfect camping weather - just cool enough to keep the bugs away a bit at night :)
Thanks Woody - quality video. Taking my boys out next weekend for their first camp and like your philosophy. Next step - getting the wife to come along too! But first, the boys have to be having fun so that's my task.
Jason Kraus thank you very much for the kind words! I can’t wait to hear about your adventure with your boys - good luck in convincing the Mrs in the future too ;)
Most of this I feel like is useful family or not, I click on this video because I saw a family and thought you’d go into detail about maybe what you packed specifically for the kids, clothing and stuff. Maybe have your wife do an unboxing lol I’m sure there’s her whole list you left out. I’m here for that.
Dude what’s up! This is Nick Korn. I did not expect to see a familiar face when I clicked on this! Hopefully you made a believer out of the wife this trip. Enjoyed the content and slick editing.
Hey thank you so much!! I got this set from REI :) Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment - more content coming soon INCLUDING my top 3 gear additions that I am OBSESSED with (since making this vid).
Thank you - best to be over prepared than under prepared - although there's certainly a fine line. This amount of gear for family camping is more necessary than if I was headed out on a hiking trip with my buddies.
That’s awesome!! Excited for you 🙌🏼 Keeping them comfortable, happy and involved is key! (Both the 2yo and wife) My wife is NOT a camper so I helped her feel relaxed and comfy and involved my 2 kiddos with the set up “teaching them” how to set and tear down camp etc. Took them on mini hikes etc too. Have a wonderful adventure!! Thank you for watching and THANK YOU for commenting 🤙🏼
Awesome! I'm finally getting my wife around to trying camping. We have a 2 year old and she loves the outdoors like her dad so we keep working on mom. I think we're gonna get our first family camping trip year!
@@WoodyBrown H O T hot! We're still working on Mom, gonna get her back out there in October for another trip. I'm excited to be getting in some good family activities in the outdoors. Inside sucks! 😜
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I certainly am a blessed man!! Thank you for watching and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss our future tips. Including what we don't use anymore and what we've added to the gear :)
Wow. This totally motivated me to take my boys camping they are 4 and 6. I want to spend more time with them and would love to do this. Any tips on where to start? I had 90% of the items in ur bags and tote as I’m somewhat of a prepper, haha.
Yes!! Awesome to hear. Depending on where you’re located it’s starting to get pretty chilly to take the kids out - unless of course you have sleeping bags that are rated for really low temps. Keeping those little dudes warm and snug is super important. I’d definitely recommend taking them maybe once it’s starts getting closer to spring where the nightly lows are in the 50s. That’s prime camping weather!
We are gearing up for a camping trip for our family of six! (4 kids 10 years down to 2 years old). This is helpful! Prior to this, I always just sent my husband with our preschool and up child/ children and kept a baby at home. I am so looking forward to getting back outside!
Yes it does :) The more I learn about the lake the more it freaks us out haha. Where we live though it’s not bad to get out on. Thank you very much for watching!!
Great suggestion!! I was also thinking of doing a series of more micro-content where I describe smaller groups of items and then have them in the description as well. Happy Camping!
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to drop a comment! I can't wait to hear about your upcoming adventure. The Fall is also a great time to get outside and camp - why wait??
i'm getting my wife to go on our second camping trip together, i wish i could go camping this light but whatever makes the wife comfortable to go i'll do it.
Shane Beimer 100% - family camping is definitely “heavier” than a few buddies going backpacking :) Happy wife happy life am I right?! Happy Adventuring!! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment - means the 🌎to me
Lovely and blessed family! ❤️. I Just get a little nervous sleeping under those big trees. When I’m camping I’m always looking for that. Please keep it in mind for your next beautiful family time. Is just a tip for the safety of the family. Blessings. Beautiful video! I’m subscribed.
Rick Calvert haha some of it looks that way - I take really good care of my gear + clean and put it all back when I get home from camping. Some of that gear is 10 years + & some of it is relatively new to accommodate taking the entire family/young kids 😌 Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment! Let me know what gear I don’t have that I should add or gear you think I should subtract!!
Absolutely! Don't be intimidated but the "large" amount of gear that I take when we go with the kiddos - you can most definitely get a way with a lot less. The good news is you'll learn as you go and have a ton of fun along the way! Are you going to a "car camping" site or a hike-in/walk-in site?
Love this video, been thinking of doing something like this about all my gear and different style of camping I do. New Subscriber, thank you for a great video
Vargas Family Vlog :] awesome I’m excited for you and your son’s adventure!! So much fun!! Thank you for watching, commenting and subscribing!! More adventure vids to come!!
Awe, your wife may come around with a few additions to your gear. You met her halfway between sleeping on a pile of leaves in the rain and normal people camping. You actually need to meet her halfway between your home and Eagle Scout camping. I don't mean to suggest that glamping is required...But looking at your spotless house, I could see she wouldn't be a fan of bugs and smelly gear. So, ask her to find a cute tablecloth, bring a queen sized air mattress (yes, it will be bulky). Comfy pillows and blankets and a set of battery operated fairy lights that you can string inside the tent. Maybe find a site that has electricity (just for a few times), this will probably be closer to people, which might make her feel more safe from animals. Ask her to mix up some of her essential oils to spritz in the tent (Cedarwood?). Once she can see past all the sucky things, she might find a love for the outdoors and slowly give up her luxury items. Personally, my husband won't camp with me because I won't let him bring the Playstation, lol.
S S great ideas for sure!! I think she’s coming around to it a bit - however would prefer our bed at home to any other even in paradise. So, I’m fighting a difficult battle - that said, I’m happy with participation :) Thank you for watching and your suggestions - adding those will help for sure.
John Erwin Peria thank you so much!! I’m so glad you had a fun adventure with your family!! Don’t forget to like and subscribe so you don’t miss out on future episodes coming soon!!
Sorry if this is somewhere and I didn't see it, but do you have links to some of these cool products? The tote, the mess kit, the lantern, the cool little towel.... Basically all of it? Haha!
Great video. New subscriber. 999 subs when I subscribed so congratulations on reaching 1000 subscribers!!! My wife was just diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and I'm trying to make what time I have left with her as enjoyable as possible. She hasn't been tent camping since she was a child and I've never been so thank you for the tips. I'm sure I've got way too much and spent too much money on my gear but oh well. Comfort is priority #1 in her case so thanks again. We're headed out this weekend so wish us luck...lol. If all else fails then we can always sleep in the jeep.
Thank you so much for your comment, I’m so sorry to hear about the difficulty your wife is going through and cannot imagine what you and your family are going through. Certainly sounds like getting out in the woods and enjoying making memories together is an outstanding idea! I hope my tips helped indeed and also, as a fellow Jeeper...when all else fails sleeping in the Jeep or bugging out and going home is definitely always an option!! Best of luck this weekend and prayers and best wishes for your wife and your family!
Lol you made it farther than I did getting the whole family out! We ended up camping in the backyard with my 2 kids and my wife slept inside haha. Regardless, awesome memories and thumbs up on the video.
Logan Brauser haha - hey, you’ve gotta start somewhere!!! I’m still trying to convince my wife to come back with us 🤣. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! I’ll be posting more family adventure videos this year so don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already ;)
Oh gosh I'm not sure - I believe I got it at Academy Sports for under $10; it's not extremely heavy duty, it's pretty small - but it will definitely get the job done.
Thanks for sharing! If I may add something...especially with my young kids I like to use a headlamp with red light function. If one is crying or if I have to go check on them at night the red light disturbs them less
I have paracord in my kit and use it for all kinds of things. Next camping trip, doing the JiffyPop. I’m teaching my son how to start a fire using a steel. My daughter likes to cook so we do a lot of campfire cooking with cast iron. I believe if you start camping with young kids, you have great memories and something they might do with their kids.
Thanks for watching!! Depending on the circumstances, but especially when camping with kids - I definitely prefer to pack too much rather than too little!! I hope you and your 3yo have an awesome adventure!
Romeras600 thank you very much and thank you for watching!! I got this set from REI but I just looked and couldn’t find the exact one - however they have a ton of options that are essentially the exact same. Price range from $20-$80 depending on what you need!
Hi Maggie - first thanks for watching my video(s)! The camping mess kit I have I got at REI; I can't find the exact set on their website anymore but found some almost identical: www.rei.com Happy camping!! Let me know if you have any other ?s - Happy to help
chanith peduruarachchi cheers! Thanks for the comment and watching the video!! Please don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss out on the upcoming content :)
Thanks for watching and for your question :) There are a ton of great spots. I would recommend starting with the State Parks - they typically have well taken care of drive up (or short walk from parking lot) campsites. Depending on your experience level and/or your family's interest, that's where I would start. Rather than having to hike in to a more primitive campsite off of the Appalachian trail for example. It's also REALLY inexpensive - typically around $10-$20 to reserve the campsite + a $5 park visitor fee. Also - depending on experience, etc - many of them have shower facilities and nearby bathroom facilities as well. www.georgiastateparks.org is a great place to start looking and then make a decision based on what facilities/amenities they have to offer. Let me know if you have any more questions and look forward to hearing about your adventures!! - WB
Peter Eaves whoop!!! So many awesome places - especially out where you are. Right now we stick to State Parks for ease of access to campsites since kids are still young enough to not want to hike in to campsites etc
@@WoodyBrown it's supposed to be from what I hear. I've never been. We ended up going to Vogel State Park. The family's first camping trip and it was awesome!
Thanks for the video and indeed you’ve got a beautiful family. I’m going to camp with my wife and our 2 kids, my boy is 4 and my daughter is 8 years old. Do we need to buy those mattresses with pump, the thick ones? I thought about buying 4 mattresses and the sleeping bags to put on top of it. Thoughts? Suggestions? This is a car camping in Squamish, BC
andresglima thank you so much for your kind words!! We don’t use the inflatable mattresses when we go camping but I’m sure that would definitely make it more comfortable/increase your likelihood of going again with the whole fam! Always remember too: if you have a lot to set up - you have a lot to tear down and pack up. Hope that helps!! Thanks for watching & have an awesome time on your family adventure 🧔🏻
Gear Guy226 thank you!! We are in the north Georgia area. Super blessed to have a ton of camping spots all over here in Georgia!! Thanks for subscribing and commenting - many more camping vids + family adventures to come!!
@@WoodyBrown Awesome. I'm about an hour south of Atlanta. Saw your shirt and had to ask. Lol I've been working on section hiking the AT. Though, unfortunately, it's been a few years. 😔
FishbowlMand thank you! That little green buggy is at the State Park/Camp Ground we visited. For this specific camping site it’s crucial b/c it’s quite a trek from the parking area to the camp sites - and with this much “car camping//family gear” I would have been in a doozy 🤣 Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting!!
Abram Stewart Hahahaha she wasn’t super stoked to be there for sure. It had more to do with our youngest being 2 and bugs...she hates bugs 🤣🤣 It’ll be a miracle if I get her back out there again this fall 😂
HerrP 100% especially down here in the south! We usually spray ourselves with safe bug spray and don’t camp much during the heat of the summer when the bugs are peaking in population.

Thank you so much for watching and your kind words!! Also thank you for the compliment, I had never heard of Luis Roberto Guzman before - he's a handsome dude :)
I hope you have an awesome camping adventure! Drop back in and let me know how it goes!!
Great video, man. Love your sense of humor. "Things get a little swampy down there." Hilarious
HerrP thank you!!! Hahaha
Hey I am 11 and I love Your video because I am new at camping and it was soooooo helpful thanks 👍 oh and I hit the like and the subscribe button
Awesome you rock!! So glad you like the video and that you're getting into camping. Being outside with our family is the BEST!! Stay tuned for more vids coming very very soon!!
Have not watched the video yet but I already know its going tome a good one 💪
Edit I'm going camping on a island with my dad soon I have not been camping for about 7 years thanks
Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence! Let me know if I left anything out that you take along your camping or family camping adventures!!
Wife didn’t look too pleased, did she end up liking camping? Thanks for the video, very useful. I want to take my kids camping this year now they are a bit older.
Haha she's still on the fence... You're welcome - thank you so much for watching!!! Happy Camping and future adventures :)
I need to make an updated video soon - my kids aren't so little any more :(
(Guy grabs towel) " I bet some of you guys don't know this but I was an eagle scout. So I'm always prepared for the unexpected" " This is a sham towl..." (Puts towel down)
Damn brother. Glad you learned something from the scouts.
Canna710 just a silly explanation why I even have a sham towel - probably would have been more effective and actually hilarious if it was an empty box and that was the only thing in it 🤣
Obviously that’s not the only thing I learned from scouts - but if you have kids, then you know - sometimes you might have to clean up all kinds of bodily fluids and you’ll need something with much better absorption than a paper towel without sacrificing too much room that a tradition towel would take up.
Hence: sham. Thanks for watching!!
Some good ideas for things I. Hadn’t thought about taking
Thank you!
Some might think it's overboard but, for "car camping" and taking the whole family - I think it's best to be prepared!!
Great video! I'm going camping for the first time in 20 yrs (and that was the first time!) and this time with kids! 😁 Very helpful!
Jessica kent thank you very much!! I hope you have a blast!!
I’ll be posting some new vids very soon; we are currently on a father/son adventure testing out an RV trailer and my thoughts on getting one or not getting one coming sooooon so don’t forget to subscribe :)
Good practical list of supplies. One of the best I’ve seen. Thanks!
R Myers thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment such nice words sir!
How don't you have more followers?? This is great. Perfect. Going camping this weekend for my birthday with people who have never been camping so this is a great guide for what I should bring since no one else will have it
Vanessa Lorenzo thank you so much!!! I’m excited for you; we’re headed camping this weekend too :)
This is obvious not a perfect list and some things you’ll never use some you will and some you’ll find you need that I don’t have etc.
Also, doing things together - it’s easy to get board if you’re not used to the incredible stillness that nature has to offer - so think about what you need to bring to include them in your fishing activities or other things you can do together ☺️
Thanks for watching!! Don’t forget to subscribe
My wife and I are going camping next week for my 34th birthday and I haven't been since I was a kid, shes never been. I've watched a lot of camping videos and yours is by far the best I've seen. Thank you!

Kristian Oates thank you very much for your kind words and for watching and subscribing!!!
I put glow stick bracelets on my 2 year olds ankles to keep track of him at night 🤣
YESSS I love it! I think that's a great idea and you never can be "too" safe or prepared when camping in my opinion! Thanks for stopping by the channel!!
Great review of all your camping gear mate.
Sometimes the simple things are the best.
Keep it simple and take only what you need.
Top stuff.
Tim Bates 4wd Adventures thank you very much!!!
@@WoodyBrown Cheers mate.
I like how you're mindful of kids.
Marisol B. Thank you!!! Our family camping adventures certainly wouldn’t be as fun without our kiddos around.
I believe in teaching them about the wonderful bliss of being outdoors and respect for nature :)
Thank you for watching + commenting!!
Thank you for your wonderful video. And all the information we need to know to go camping. You are awesome. And have a beautiful family. I'm going camping this weekend. Santa Margarita Lake in Cali. Happy camping.
Tricia Kesting thank you so so much!! I’m excited for your camping adventure - be safe, have fun and leave no trace :)
Love the video! Where did you get your pull wagon? Is that even what you’d call it?! Love it!
Definitely thankful to make awesome memories with my family :)
Thanks for watching and especially taking the time to drop me a comment!!!
Thanks for all the great ideas! We just got a pop up camper and cant wait to take the family out!
I can’t wait to hear about your adventure with your boys - good luck in convincing the Mrs in the future too ;)
As soon as you said Eagle Scout I started taking notes
Thank you so much for watching :)
Hopefully my suggestions will help when thinking about what gear to bring on a family camping trip :)
Most of this I feel like is useful family or not, I click on this video because I saw a family and thought you’d go into detail about maybe what you packed specifically for the kids, clothing and stuff. Maybe have your wife do an unboxing lol I’m sure there’s her whole list you left out. I’m here for that.
From a fellow Eagle Scout - Great Job.
Thank you!!!
Dude what’s up! This is Nick Korn. I did not expect to see a familiar face when I clicked on this! Hopefully you made a believer out of the wife this trip. Enjoyed the content and slick editing.
What's up my brotha! Hope y'all are doing well...my wife's still on the fence regarding roughing it out in the woods with me, haha!
Love the video! Starting my camping prep this year. Where did you get your pots and pans from?
Hey thank you so much!! I got this set from REI :) Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment - more content coming soon INCLUDING my top 3 gear additions that I am OBSESSED with (since making this vid).
U plan very well!!
Thank you - best to be over prepared than under prepared - although there's certainly a fine line. This amount of gear for family camping is more necessary than if I was headed out on a hiking trip with my buddies.
Planning a camping trip with wife & 2yo! Can’t wait. Great Video.
That’s awesome!! Excited for you 🙌🏼
Keeping them comfortable, happy and involved is key! (Both the 2yo and wife)
My wife is NOT a camper so I helped her feel relaxed and comfy and involved my 2 kiddos with the set up “teaching them” how to set and tear down camp etc.
Took them on mini hikes etc too. Have a wonderful adventure!! Thank you for watching and THANK YOU for commenting 🤙🏼
You deserve a lot more subscribers based on your video content.
Thank you so much Dylan!!
Awesome! I'm finally getting my wife around to trying camping. We have a 2 year old and she loves the outdoors like her dad so we keep working on mom. I think we're gonna get our first family camping trip year!
NICE!!! I'm sorry I missed this comment earlier - how did your camping trip go??
@@WoodyBrown H O T hot! We're still working on Mom, gonna get her back out there in October for another trip. I'm excited to be getting in some good family activities in the outdoors. Inside sucks! 😜

I just did!😊
Tai Lopez you rock!!!
Wow. This totally motivated me to take my boys camping they are 4 and 6. I want to spend more time with them and would love to do this.
Any tips on where to start?
I had 90% of the items in ur bags and tote as I’m somewhat of a prepper, haha.
Also, subbed!!! And we have the same amount of followers haha.
Keep it up. excellent content. I’m going to bing on some more of your content now.
Rad! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing!!
We are gearing up for a camping trip for our family of six! (4 kids 10 years down to 2 years old). This is helpful! Prior to this, I always just sent my husband with our preschool and up child/ children and kept a baby at home. I am so looking forward to getting back outside!
That sounds awesome and thank you so much for your kind words! I'm looking forward to some fall weather and family camping trips to come!!
Does your tshirt say lake Lanier ? Lol 😂 I’m terrified of that grave lake but I like the video nice 👍
Yes it does :)
The more I learn about the lake the more it freaks us out haha.
Where we live though it’s not bad to get out on.
Thank you very much for watching!!
Would be nice if you shared the name of brands in the description. Thanks though for the coffee suggestion. I'll be looking into it.
Great suggestion!! I was also thinking of doing a series of more micro-content where I describe smaller groups of items and then have them in the description as well. Happy Camping!
The Jiffy Pop was a total dad thing and I can feel his excitement
Being Brandi M haha yep!! Thank you for watching & commenting!!

i'm getting my wife to go on our second camping trip together, i wish i could go camping this light but whatever makes the wife comfortable to go i'll do it.
Shane Beimer 100% - family camping is definitely “heavier” than a few buddies going backpacking :)

Everything is brand new! Never been used!
Rick Calvert haha some of it looks that way - I take really good care of my gear + clean and put it all back when I get home from camping.
Some of that gear is 10 years + & some of it is relatively new to accommodate taking the entire family/young kids 😌
Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment!
Let me know what gear I don’t have that I should add or gear you think I should subtract!!
Thanks mate, first attemp this year to camp this summer with a 4yrs old and a 2 yrs old. Cant Wait !
Thanks for sharing! Im going camping for the first time and need serious guidance lol
Absolutely! Don't be intimidated but the "large" amount of gear that I take when we go with the kiddos - you can most definitely get a way with a lot less. The good news is you'll learn as you go and have a ton of fun along the way!
Are you going to a "car camping" site or a hike-in/walk-in site?
2 years in a row of camping with my wife and 2 kids- and i only find out now about kuju coffee - thank you sir!

So, I’m fighting a difficult battle - that said, I’m happy with participation :)
Thank you for watching and your suggestions - adding those will help for sure.
Learned a lot from you Sir, we are just a newbie family camper, I got 3 kids and they enjoyed a lot camping.

Thanks for the video! What’s the name of your entrenching tool?
Oh gosh I'm not sure - I believe I got it at Academy Sports for under $10; it's not extremely heavy duty, it's pretty small - but it will definitely get the job done.
Woody Brown thank you!
Thanks for sharing! If I may add something...especially with my young kids I like to use a headlamp with red light function. If one is crying or if I have to go check on them at night the red light disturbs them less
PiJay thanks for the idea & thanks for watching and commenting!!!
YES!! 100% agree - if they're used to it as a family tradition they'll pass on the love for the outdoors to their children for sure.
Going camping with a 3 year old in 5 weeks. Came across the video...I pack way too much, haha.
Thanks for watching!! Depending on the circumstances, but especially when camping with kids - I definitely prefer to pack too much rather than too little!!
I hope you and your 3yo have an awesome adventure!
Need a link to the cook/pot set. 🤙🏽 Great video
Romeras600 thank you very much and thank you for watching!!
I got this set from REI but I just looked and couldn’t find the exact one - however they have a ton of options that are essentially the exact same. Price range from $20-$80 depending on what you need!

I live in east Atlanta and we are about to go to north Georgia on a family camping trip. Do you have any recommendations on good spots? Thanks!
- WB
Woody Brown wow, thank you for the super fast reply. I agree we are very fortunate to have so many great spots nearby. Thanks again...

Lake Lanier Rowing Club?! Shout out from Dawsonville. Thumbs up and subscribing!
Also where is your favorite place to camp locally?
Peter Eaves whoop!!! So many awesome places - especially out where you are.
Right now we stick to State Parks for ease of access to campsites since kids are still young enough to not want to hike in to campsites etc
@@WoodyBrown have you ever been to lake conasauga?
Peter Eaves I don’t believe so - I’ll check it out!! Family friendly??
@@WoodyBrown it's supposed to be from what I hear. I've never been. We ended up going to Vogel State Park. The family's first camping trip and it was awesome!
Peter Eaves nice!!! There’s some great cycling up there!!
Great hat

Great packing tips. I want to know about the green buggy thing I see at the end of your video to haul your gear!
FishbowlMand thank you! That little green buggy is at the State Park/Camp Ground we visited.
For this specific camping site it’s crucial b/c it’s quite a trek from the parking area to the camp sites - and with this much “car camping//family gear” I would have been in a doozy 🤣

It’ll be a miracle if I get her back out there again this fall 😂
@@WoodyBrown Bugs can kill a camping trip in record time, no doubt. Considered a 10 x 10 screen house to stay comfy and relatively bug free?
HerrP 100% especially down here in the south! We usually spray ourselves with safe bug spray and don’t camp much during the heat of the summer when the bugs are peaking in population.
