love your builds but can't help but crack a smile at the thought of a necromancer that can't handle the dead... it's like an Olympic swimmer who's hydrophobic... lol

One thing I think folks have overlooked for the Wisdom shifter is "Acute Instincts" from Fury of the Wild as a twist. You end up getting 2 more Wisdom while "raging" and since you can cast, it's essentially another +1 to all DCs for a T2 twist.

I played Ellisdee's Necrocleric on one of my earliest toons :) am glad the Death domain Cleric is making a return. On a Acid Wit run Necrotic Ray SLA was hitting more than twice the hp of the trogs, fun times lol

This is correct, but as with other videos I will be collaborating with other high end players to get their experiences at 30 to give a full comparison and level 30 set up with item build.
Was considering rolling my palemaster for this upcoming hardcore league. Hopefully they make it available to non vips again because I doubt my friends want to get vip to play HC. Either way, hopefully wizard palemaster is still relevant in HC league.
I have a undead Cleric Wizard that stomps everything and non stop heals massive melee dps and heavy spell damage. Human build no spell fail, high AC and damage reduction. It is a solo play build and does well with groups like wise.
I have tried something inspired by this. I am using 3 levels of Wizard so I can be a vampire (extra wis and cha). The AOE blasts keep me well healed and gives me better DCs for Slay the Living. I have only played for one day, so I am still only lvl 12. I am playtesting and a first life to see if my main can try it for a Shifter past life. So far it has been great in heroics. I would recommend that you have a Mace of Smiting (ML6) to cut through the constructs. As for undead, Ravenloft weapon and a few points spent in falconry for wis hit and damage w/ divine power gets you through the undead. This works much better when you have 12 Racial points, but still a very quick way to get a first life toon to 20.
Cleric has always been my favourite zerging class for levelling since 2010. Dual holy smites own in low level, then BB 12-18, then instakill 18-20. I haven't played ddo in many years but hearing about buffs to cleric makes me wonder WTF SSG are doing.
So the extra "skill" points gained by Int isnt worth it much? for non int classes

What if you mix in some wizard for the bypass for undead

Probably a dumb question but, you cant play razor claw style with the basic shifter ? :( you need the iconic? It thought it was their racial tree
Wild hunt shifter is what I am playing. Razorclaw is the iconic, the base shifter is wild hunt or beast hide.

You can indeed! Simply go to the class trainer for your desired multiclass upon leveling up.
up to 25....very good fun with necro rays x 2. Nice dps, but not exceptional. Of course I am glass cannon, I die lots - super low PRR and MRR.
But good fun. Would play it again.
You mentioned it was only 11 and you have problems with Undead and Constructs, so that means Sharn and Ravenloft is gonna suck for that character?
I ended up skipping ravenloft and sharn actually, it was a great decision. However, if you just use a few other non-negative spells (holy smite, blade barrier, comet fall) both of these things are fine. I was just intentionally not using those spells so it was a little slow.
The unfortunate thing about cleric casters in general, is that they are rough trying to scale into epic end game. Compared to most caster classes they get sorrowfully few MCLs in their enhancement tree. This will not in any real way affect them during the level grind, so such a build is excellent for having some fun hammering out some racial and cleric past lives in the 1-20 grind.
I WAS going to say the above but then I realized, maybe its just that FvS are so ridiculously over tuned. Divine Disciple gets 2 MCLs while AoV gets 13. But then I realized that Palemasters get zip.

Umm so much undead in this game. I mean there is a whole expansion of Ravenloft. Not being able to effectively deal with undead and constructs is a huge weakness. Tons of golems and constructs all over the game.
Sorry, but I can roll a pale master who can stand in the middle of undead mobs, dodging attacks while swinging a sword and throwing down AoE spells.
Here to stay, lol. Funny choice of words, in ddo anything may be nerfed at any time. If you want to keep from getting your strong build nerfed don't brag or advertise,. Play solo. Sad but true.
