A few things regarding the scales. At the start when it was saying 18.888, that was its calibration cycle. It takes longer to complete that while you're moving it around. I'm pretty sure that you just cancelled the calibration when you pressed off. It was also showing 5 grams because you tipped it off balance, which is pretty common. The tin of beans only contains 425 grams of beans, the other 80-odd grams was the tin and label. Lastly, that dock would really only be for recipe podcasts/videos. From what I can see of it, while not top quality, it seems to actually be quite a practical idea for someone fucking around in the home kitchen (at least it was when iPod classics were a thing).

No, the issue was that the developers haven’t updated the app to work with iOS 11 or newer. I found the app online, and it sent me to the App Store, for me to then find a banner saying “The developer hasn’t updated this app for iOS 11”. So, it still works but on iOS 10 or earlier.

My parents got me the Elite Commandar for Christmas when it came out, and man was it a pile of shit looking back now. The game itself was pretty mediocre, but 7 year old me had a blast.
