I love Dave, I think I'm a bit older than him... I'm Indian and I look a little similar to him... I'd never seen an Asian person in a punk or a metal band up to that point... as soon as I saw him in Sum41 I picked up my guitar, started a band and never looked back :)
Whoa..never clicked on a vid so fast. Loving the new signature guitar! I remember reading an interview where you mentioned jcm 800 but also using a slash marshall too. Damn love all the riffing, hell song, no reason, out for blood damn
Dave is a hell of a player and when it comes to choosing my favoutite one he's right at the top with page, richards and gilmore! Hope to see him live again!
This man and music helped me through some of the toughest time in life. Music unites, he is such a good dude and his guitar skills is absolutely amazing. Punk might have been the roots, but Dave can play anything. Nice to see that @Marshall have him covered with the best tuning equipment there is.
When I grew up in long Island my friend Joe would always refer to the marshall as "THE marshall amp", Zakk wyldes favorites amp, I believe it was No More Tears he used it on other subsequent albums.
Thanks vor the Demo! I really love the Marshall Sound and I tried the SC20 as a lightweight Amp for Clubshows ans rehersals. I know its a 20 Watt !Studio! Version of the iconic 100 Watt jcm800 but this particual one that i had wasnt able to keep up with a metal Drummer on rehersal. So i wasnt satisfied. Still using my old DSL50th which have a jcm800 build in ;-)
I love Marshall BUT I tried to buy a DSL40 Combo and I received three amps in a row that had issues with their channels to the point were they wouldn’t work after a couple of days. Very bad quality, I was hugely disappointed. For what it’s worth - they did sound fantastic though. I switched to a AC15 and it’s flawless.
They were basically a metal band disguised as a pop-punk band.
Metal with pop punk hooks. Total cheat code
People always saying pop punk easy..this man is an amazing guitarist

Dave helped me some years ago. Dave recorded my playing guitar at his studio. His Marshal amp sounded awesome. I thank Dave

Dave mentions a tsl 99, maybe that was it!
Damn video editing, just cut through the entire Hell Song solo play through.
Best riffs in the 2000's pop-punk. Brownsound is a living legend.
this brings back a lot of memory. Legend!

Thats the sound! Sweet 😁
I've never been a huge fan of Sum 41's music but there is no doubt that they're all amazing musicians. Dave Baksh is a killer guitar player.
