You shouldn't be. Not of you feel it in you. For most of us, when we 1st try, our voices crack and we run out of air. What helped me (when I 1st learned) is that I was a crazy teenager that didn't care what anybody thought lol. I felt the desire inside me coz I knew I had it. So I'd literally walk around town or in my home just practicing el grito till I got it right. You should do the same. Play some Chente or Mariachi so it engances your mood :)

Mexicans will never be talking s*** unless you're joking around. A none spanish speaking person could say one word in Spanish and Mexicans will be very encouraging and say "wow!" "You know Spanish." If we see effort ,we give you credit and show appreciation.. but if you hear a Latino speaking full English and has a thick accent people who solely speak English will talk s*** and say they don't know English..
