I will definitely share this resto with my friends from our hot wheels club... I'm sure they will love it ! Thanks for the reply from my previous comment ,too.!
Nice job. I repainted a thunderbird and couldn’t bring myself to paint the roof again. Thanks for the tips. I really appreciate the tutorials. Take care
Love this Camaro! First h.wheels I ever bought new.! I played with it a lot as a kid. It's still in good shape (mostly ) a few small chips. Thanks for restoring this classic, you did a fantastic job! I even like it better without the black roof. !
Man that turned out wicked cool. Like I said, I have a handful of redlines that I really want to fix up. I gotta get on that soon, get over my fear of them.
I remember when hotwheels discontinued having vehicles with opening hood. In spite of the warning label on the packaging telling peeple not to put them in their mouths or the opening hood will get lodged in the throat, peeple would put them in their mouths and get them lodged in their throats! I think the warning is still on the package.
man I am glad to see you restored a 67 Camaro, Camaros are one of my favorite cars out there. they are fun to watch in both standard form and in the Wastelands. drinking my Coffee while watching this by the way
Yep that’s the condition I get my redlines in, you can also start with the less popular castings too they are often in better condition but cheap. The hardest parts of doing a redline is drilling the post and finding certain parts.
Great resto Paul. Is it necessary to polish the body for spectraflame paint? I notice you do that specifically with spectraflame. Great step by step with the hood replacement.
Beautiful! Great detailing and restoration! Been following your channel and I’ve learnt so much. Made many mistakes in the past but I’ve improved over time - Part of the journey!
Totally enjoyed the video going to try my first restore. My question is Do you add anything to the paint before you spray and do you prime. Also does it need a chrome base coat for the paint to work. I build plastic models Heartbeat Model Shop. So I have airbrush. Thanks Rick
That resto turned out beautiful! Im going try that hood replacement process you use! Have you dealt with the very common bent or missing cowl on the 67 Camaro? I have one that is missing a cowl waiting for me to tackle.
Great video on this Camaro. Also great info on fixing hoods. Question for ya on that subject: I have a Sugar Caddy that I am restoring and I bought a new hood from Redline shop. Of course, I already broke the hood. You see, the Sugar Caddy's hood is diff than the Camaro. The hood has 2 little forks that go over the caddy's body. It's the body that actually has the pins unlike the Camaro. Any ideas on how to fix and install the Caddy's hood? thanks in advance
Hi Ron, love the Videos they never disappoint. You have reinspired my passion for Hotwheels am in the process of acquiring all I need to start the customization an restoration of redlines an other Dieicast. I am need of assistance in acquiring bearings from bearcat3d I reached out before the holidays an to aquire these an have never received a response. Keep up the awesome projects look forward to seeing more.
The Camaro came out fantastic! Thanks for the shout-out!
I found these old redline Camaros to be almost fragile! Nicely done! Ron is good . . .
