while watching the video, my wife overhears the music and decides to turn around to see what action video i'm watching. Great footage. thanks for posting.
Actually it is more likely silage additive, added to aid the curing process. If it were DIESEL, then you would drop it off on a field boundary. Not cart it up and down the field.
Bet water tank is to keep alfalfa from gumming chopper up if it does same as alfalfa chopping did in Pa.When chute woukd get gummed chopper could not blow much past end of chute.
at the 1:12 mark how did the tractor on the right know where to start into the field in the right place for the tractor on the left to have the right width of crop to cut?
Hi Aaron, Sorry to bug ya again. I would like to know what pump you use on your water cart? We want to use a 12 volt pump. Its hard to find one that has enough volume, was thinking atleast 20gpm. What is your best answer you think on both the pump(name, gpm pump) and gpm needed to not wax up? I really appreciate your time thank you.
We do custom chopping for 3 dairies near us along with our regular farm operations, and this year we have about 3700 acres of alfalfa, and we'll chop close to 9000 acres of corn

Snobblight They have silage additives in them, which is added to the silage to help cattle digest it easier
Hi what is the tank behind the forage harvester
Cool Video and music. How fast do you guys go when chopping hay or corn?
Cody Ludwig in hay we can go anywhere from 6-12 mph, depending on hay thickness. In silage we can go about 3.5-4.5 on average
Do you in the US grow clover too or is alfalfa main leaf crop for silage? In Europe (atleast from where im from) its clover mostly

That is the pile of hay that we chopped last summer, once that is gone they will start feeding off the one that we are building in the video
nice video as always but what drone are you running ?
at the 1:12 mark how did the tractor on the right know where to start into the field in the right place for the tractor on the left to have the right width of crop to cut?
The tractors are steering off GPS, each tractor has the same guidance lines synced together, so each one will always be cutting the exact same width
Aaron Zenner do u own the farm
the video you posted today says its blocked in the US bc of copyright reasons, so it won't let me watch it
Is there a brand new class Jaguar 960 in there
hi ! what do u put un your tank ,acid ?
What's the tanks behind the choppers
Water. Sometimes if the hay is too dry we have to spray water in the chopper to avoid plugging up the machine

what is the trailer connected to the chopper for
It's for water. We run the tanks that come with the chopper on ours but on big jobs we hafto refill them.
+Jace Mininger, I think it's more like a treatment like Cropsaver that helps break down the silage for better digestion for dairy cattle.
It's to help permit the hay
Where did you get that cart your towing with the chopper? Cant find it
JohnVHRC our water trailers we pull behind the choppers are just old sprayers that we converted
