I love how much an arcane build changes as you go further into the game. You start off as an upstanding deranged Arsonist burning things with molotovs, oil urns and a flamethrower. You discover strange tools allowing you to call upon supernatural forces but never forget the sensation of lighting things on fire. You climax with forbidden knowledge the Healing Church itself coveted and once wielded with mixed results. Finally, you end as a thing that is barely even human anymore, a plant-like host to a parasitic alien life form that puppets your body around, exploding with cosmic energy and gutteral noises, aimlessly wandering the furthest depths of the old labyrinth in search of bloodgems. Where you wander is where countless before you went utterly mad or died, but you Ascended so you no longer care under the weight of your tremendous knowledge. It's a very exciting and unexpected progression.

Started my arc build today and here’s what I’ve learned: -The bosses so far are by far the easiest part of the game. With the exception of Gascoigne(whom who you fight before getting the flamesprayer), the bosses seem to be going down in under a minute. I was not able to defeat FG the same way you did with the Molotov and oil combo and had to resort to old fashioned r1+l1 -Because you’re so dependent on resources, keeping things in stock can be annoying especially when you need to keep up with your leveling(although only focusing on two stats instead of 3 is helpful). Contrary to what you mention in the description, you will eventually find yourself running low on both vials and bullets, especially if you botch a boss like I did(only once but it nearly cleaned out my entire inventory) so this kind of play can be expensive. -I could not get Djura to fall off that fucking ledge. I died a good half dozen times on that stage. I’ve gotten lucky on every other play through save this one. Now that I mention it I’ve died more times than I should have probably due to minor sleep deprivation and a mild hangover. -The FS doesn’t stagger, so positioning is crucial. This may be my favourite part about this build so far; it adds a layer of strategic forethought that I found my melee builds lacking. Honestly so far I wouldn’t say that an ARC build is much easier than say a base end build. I guess it is but when you have 300+ hours put into the game the early stages are going to be rather trivial either way. Furthermore like you mentioned some enemies are strong against fire which can make them a pain to deal with. I’ll update this comment as I progress further.

On a 99 Arcane build, it's viable IF you use strong attacks only, because the lightwave attacks have high Arcane multiplier. As for the R1 damage, it would be terrible on such a build (with low STR/SKL).
Bolt Paper can be applied on Physical weapon; you will only need to do it twice, because later on you use converted weapons (and they can't be buffed anyway)
Spawn in cathedral ward, take a right from the lantern up the elevator. Go to the right at the first level of the Healing Tower. Drop down and then go into the large circular room and fall down safely to the bottom. Explore those streets right out of the door to find the alley that goes downward to the dead end.
Easy. Just need to have enough experience to know all the enemy attack patterns dodge and attack at perfect timing. Easy. Good content though man. Looking forward to trying to do the same and failing just horribly ....

Not him but I think you can skip on adding STR and SKL during the early stages if you're fine using either the Saw Cleaver or Saw Spear. I would suggest investing most of the points to VIT and ARC so that it would really help your damage using the hunter tools (molotov and the flamesprayer) as they will be the only source of damage outside normal attacks and viscerals. The SKL and STR point allotment is just to wield the Ludwig's Holy Blade and the other hunter weapons such as the Wheel.
@@shibito07 its more of a preference, the more arcane you have, the more damage you deal, however, its not mandatory to rush it if you want a more "traditional" build, its ok to go for the stats you need to wield the weapon you want, it will just take longer to max your dmg.

Hi dude he is in the side area you get to by falling down the healing church tower. Its the red star on the map: bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com/file/Bloodborne/healing_church_and_abandoned_old_workshop_map.jpg
@@AmigoAzul thx m8. I'm a big fan of this build but boy does it require a fair bit of metagame knowledge.
@@JoeKing69 You bet bud! I was super overwhelmed by this game initially but once I saw this build I gave it another shot and I am so glad I did. Good luck
when you think that the beasts in Yharnam were a big problem, all while the flamesprayer existed
Is the Holy Moonlight Greatsword a good choice for an Arcane build?
On a 99 Arcane build, it's viable IF you use strong attacks only, because the lightwave attacks have high Arcane multiplier. As for the R1 damage, it would be terrible on such a build (with low STR/SKL).
@@speedlee1243 Ah. I love the weapon but must have messed up my build for it.
@@Pinefr0st PVE is PvE. Literally just go 99 arcane and then work your way on strength.
How did u get electric againt the fire dog?
Bolt Paper can be applied on Physical weapon; you will only need to do it twice, because later on you use converted weapons (and they can't be buffed anyway)
The Ricardo meme! 😂😂😂
Would you recommend the Tonitrus for a pure arcane build?
I prefer Bolt Conversion but Tonitrus is definitely viable

4:10 i remember this alleyway but i cant remember how to get there.
Spawn in cathedral ward, take a right from the lantern up the elevator. Go to the right at the first level of the Healing Tower. Drop down and then go into the large circular room and fall down safely to the bottom. Explore those streets right out of the door to find the alley that goes downward to the dead end.
Alternatively if you have unlock the old abandoned workshop you can just spawned from there and drop down.
Easy. Just need to have enough experience to know all the enemy attack patterns dodge and attack at perfect timing. Easy.
Good content though man. Looking forward to trying to do the same and failing just horribly ....
This is fetchin beast. I'll definitely have to try this when I play BB again.
Do I need to reset the chalice dungeon in order to get both gems?
Update, yes you do
i was thinking of doing a skill build for my 2nd playthrough because strength was the main focus of my 1st.
after seeing this vid I've changed my mind
😎 Welcome, Arcane enjoyer
@@speedlee1243 so i recently got the lost logarius wheel and could you give a new executioner advice on how to wheel? current stats:18V 12E 10STR 9SKL 5BLT 51ARC
Even on a 50/50 split, the Transformed Wheel still has Physical ATK almost as high as Arcane ATK, so STR is still important in Transformed moves (see wiki or the calculation example: docs.google.com/document/d/1XtsYCktyFBfmv9fyMZxOqsnj8Sa72jAcpWX_B6aPzIM/edit?usp=drivesdk
)
So I would still recommend having 50 STR; as for gemet, it's the general consensus you read on the internet, Nourishing for all moves or Flat Arcane for dodge moves
@@speedlee1243 ah ok then thanks so i wont do a wheel build way too slugish for my liking and also takes so much in exchange for not much anyway then even so my 25 str is not a waste as i have went from saw spear to Fire LHB its really good ive also thought of making a fire Stake driver because why not? i got the str to use it i got the arcane and conversion gems and i got the levels of arcane for it to 70 arc from what i remember recently got a call beyond too i believe im gonna kill everything
@@speedlee1243 i got the uncanny parasite time to go broccoli mode and ik what you said about it in the faq but.... i can barf on people and attack them with my tongue so your opinion is not valid
New player here wanting to try this out, is it good in co-op?
I made lots of Coop videos, so 👍
Made a new character to do Arcane build it just works
Where did you get a bolt gem before yargul or nightmare frontier? I noticed you had one to beat fire dog. EDIT: never mind. guessing it was just bolt paper :)
Holy shit the darkbeast paarl strategy is SO COOL. Just got to that part in my playthrough
Where are you getting that fire blood gemstone. I know I'm missing something but for the life of me I dont know where that location is and I've been all over the cathedral ward .

Far below the old workshop. When door on right of lantern in cathedral ward opens, take elevator up, go across bridge, then go all the way down. You’ll find it in that area.
Bro I love facing Ricardo amelia such a fun boss
So, which starting class is the best for 99 arcame?
Video description (A6)
I stopped an 99 arc build at 160 for the sake of solo play, and just trying it out. It's pretty fun.
i just did oil plus molotov on gascoigne with 14 arcane and it did 334 damage, why is the difference between yours and mine 500?
does the parry animation really increase damage that much?
Staggered (backstabbed or parried) enemies take double damage
I just wanna know what character background to pick when I start.
Probably not milktoast.
It depends on your goal, some origin are optimized (for reaching the desired stat at the lowest possible level)
@@speedlee1243 ah yeah, I went for classes which gave me a little extra in the areas I was never gonna level up, as min maxing isn't a concern.
Thanks for getting back to me.
Even if it took three years.
I started a new build like this and it's a blast!
i dont think he uses the cannon...
Thanks, beat Cleric Beast, Gascoigne and BSB with ease. Only thing is I haven't been grinding and I'm a long way from your stats, even at BSB - not died once yet. I feel like I'd have to grind echoes to keep up with your stat guide in the description. Not that it's an issue as the build is working well so far. Thanks again.
Beat Dark Beast Paarl and the Witches of Hemwick, the build is really starting to come into it's own now. I'm going to do Vicar Amelia tomorrow, hold L2. :)
What makes it so easy is how you can pretty much wipe your arse with supplies. The game pretty much throws them at you everywhere
Mr Speed please consider adding commentary. It would make your fine vids all the better.
Also, what's your take of Bloodborne coming to PC?
I doubt it 🤣
I used this tutorial to make my favorite build yet, Bloodtinge Arcane
Arctinge is Maybe Pathetic
What weapon did you use for the D3 dog?, why does it have bolt?
*Muda Muda, Za Molotov is the strongest stand*
Watchdog is absolutely killing my run right now man. I hate his attacks so much
Go for legs, after 4 legs go for head; if it's the first dungeon you are talking about, have a Beast Blood Pellet, use moves that accumulates beasthood quickly (like Saw L1) then switch to R1 spam once you have some beasthood
I increased my arcane just so I could use the flamesprayer, but I knew nothing about the scaling. I want to start my build over now. I’m a beginner to this game, so I’m not that far in yet. I was going for high strength and skill, but I think my arcane needs to be higher to make the build I really want.
How did you get the insight before gascoin? I thought you had to kill a boss to get it?
There are two madmens knowledge that you can find b4 you fight any boss.
You also get an insight the first time you fight bosses as well
Go to cleric beast and log out then back in
Thanks gentlemen
4:15 "you're going to need this gem!"
But where is it?

@@speedlee1243 Thanks!
Hey Speed, what area do you find the fire blood gems at 4:11.
th-cam.com/video/4jnTeO2Gb_A/w-d-xo.html
I want to run a build like this, but my current one, I’ve added a bit more endurance, but don’t really want to start again. Would this build be okay?
Vit: 50
End: 18
Str: 16
Skl: 12
Blt: 5
Arc: 99
Arcane builds usually run some sort of weapon with a fire gem, preferably the Saw Spear, maybe a bit more into endurance
mike ock Why is the saw spear the move? Gem slots good for fire?
@@Fitzybitzy9595 Its always a Lost Saw Spear though. The Saw Spear in both forms is Serrated which deals extra damage to beasts which form majority of the mobs in the game. Add some good fire gems with high arcane and its amazing.
@@Fitzybitzy9595 the moveset is also really good for it
@@embertonic7374 basically you can use most of the weapons in the game in an arcane build as long as you have the necessary gems
I might try this just for the heck of it.
I can't entirely seem to grasp Arcane but... From what I can tell, Arcane Gems or Elemental on a weapon seem to be good? Apparently Molotov's and whatnot seem to scale with Arcane too... It'll either be a complete disaster, Or an amazing new experience.
What I dont understand is, how early can you get the flamesprayer? I was hoping the video would show
www.google.com/search?q=Flamesprayer+Bloodborne&oq=Flamesprayer+Bloodborne
@speed Lee i have one request, if i use one gem with 8% fire attack and i choise to change with 10% fire attack, the weapon with gem 10% scale more in arcane?
It will become stronger but the scaling is the same
Ah ok thanks
i'm just starting your build, is it better to have 2 fire gems in 1 weapon? or 1 fire / 1 bolt?
If you put one fire and one bolt gem on the same weapon, it would become a fire weapon and thus the bolt gem won't help the damage at all
Okay but..... I’ve been following this guide to a T and when I throw a Molotov at the meteor shooting scorpion dude it does like 12 damage....how am I not able to one shot him like the vid? I have stupid high arcane???
Resistance to the flames probably or did you not use oil urns?
illuminati but in the video he doesn’t use oil urns. And they die in one hit???
Did you use bone marrow ash for extra damage? And upgrade everything
illuminati Bone marrow ash doesn’t help Molotovs. And I’m upgraded farther than he is at this point. Which is what I don’t understand 😭😞
Same I didn't try this out tho so idek what's happening sorry though😔
Hello. Sorry if I missed this tip, but what kind of character did you use at the beggining? Waste of skin to better distribute the level up points or another? Thanks.
look up the description of the video, he explains it there, not only which origin, but also how he alocated his stats before each boss.
@@marcosdheleno Thank you, I missed it when I went throught the description... for the fourth time. Just for the record, yes there is it. Thanks for pointing it out :)
Will explosion weapons like the stake driver or the boom hammer scale with this?
Fire converted Stake Driver is good for Pure Arcane
Boom Hammer cannot be converted, not good for Pure Arcane: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nLEl_66SYHcIUA7dqQGywtm8o3YaJCdq2sEWj6ifpQg/edit?usp=sharing
Which runes do u need to have more bullets?
Yo I got a question please answer it what starter backstory did u choose?
At the end of FAQ 9 explained it; the best origin depends on the end stats, but if you don't care about optimization, then anything works to be honest
I dont understand, where am I supposed to find the fire blood gemstones? Is that in the part 2?
Edit: otherwise I love these videos, I haven't played bloodborne before but this video inspired me to try it and do this build. I am currently at darkbeast Paarl and I gotta say, you made it look easy
Which chalice ?
What versions are better for slotting bolt/fire conversion. Lost or uncanny?
Lost
Ty I love u for this, do one for bloodtinge though pls.
How do you get the flamesprayer early on i tried getting it from Gilbert but it hasnt given it to me yet
Gascoigne > enter chapel > Back to Gilbert
Thx for video.
Q1: why 20 STR?
Q2: in what sequence should I spend the echoes in the early game? when to lvl up STR and SKL for example?
At 3:42 u say do twice for 2 gems but I can’t do the boss again if I’ve already beaten it
Create the exact dungeon twice
Shoots djura with a gun
ARCANE TOO OP
My humor is peak
Besides saw spear, which other weapons scale well with arcane?
Check description Q8
You make the watchdog fight seem so easy, fucker won't stand still long enough for me to combo him most of the time
That means you did it wrong. Do exactly what I did, notice what attack I did, where I hit and beasthood.
@@speedlee1243 ooooh i didn't notice the beasthood. managed to beat him without it tho, just took a little longer and some more vials
Is there a specific reason for using the saw spear or can it be replaced by other weapons?
