GoldDuck 20004 yeah that’s where I thought you HAD to get it though. After seeing this video I found out after killing Amelia patches takes over any window NPC locations to give you the Tonsil Stone.
I got mine from Gilbert after doing the Woods skip and I talked to the little girl(Gascoigne's daughter) and she was replaced with the Tonsil stone man talking about the Cathedral so I could get it from her technically

The problem of Rosmarinus is that you can only acquire it in late gate. But in late game, you mostly use Fire Saw Spear or Tools for damage, both the sprayer become a weapon for ending blow.

@@speedlee1243 It worked. You gotta get right up in the Orphan's space for the tentacles to stagger him, but they work. Me and my buddy killed him and later we killed the first Vicar. Got all three endings finally. On to Dark Souls Remastered.

Okay, so, do everything at cainhurst except the boss fight? I missed cainhurst entirely in my first playthrough, following the full version of this for arcane build, but I came back to the short version, hoping it would make more since now that I've gotten through some of it. These videos are still damn confusing.
For late game gem farming, pretty much the same, except that you have to find the boss yourself. After finding it, you can back up save files using USB flash drive, and then start save scumming.
Hey Speedlee just wondering I'm doing this build and have a bunch of bolt gems I see that your using a lot of fire gems and the flamesprayer is there a difference between fire and bolt or can I use them (the bolt gems) or will it affect my build Thanks in advance
Couldn't you have used the regular tonitrus on Logarius? What's the difference between the tiny tonitrus and the regular one? I heard the tonitrus was good for the Rom fight as well, but I noticed that you didn't use it, is there a reason why? I'm really curious, sorry for all the questions 😅
Konaruhi well you probably know by now but the tiny tonitrus and tonitrus are not at all the same. The tonitrus is a weapon like his saw spear that has a constant arcane buff. The tiny tonitrus is a tool like the hentai noodle. It calls lightning down from the sky in a line. Not at all like tonitrus. Completely different things ones a tool one is a weapon.
Would the beasthunter saif be viable as your early fire weapon instead of the saw spear, as I just like the feel and moveset of the saif better plus it has the same gem slots as the saw spear
How high do you upgrade your Flamesprayer? Do you take it all the way to +10? Is its damage at +10 worth the Blood Rock by the time you can actually get it?
Kinda late but as long as you're planning to not go pvp (120-ish) you can still put all your points into arc / vit. 150 is the level you should aim for if you're going for online coop. I don't think Old Yharnam is that far in the game that your build is already commited
(Read video description) Is there a similar success rate with other weapons? Are you using the saw spear for the slots + bonus beast damage? Going to do this run soon, but I haven't used the church pick or the saif, so I'd rather use those (which seems highly likely).

Check the chart in video description (A8). I don't see what makes you think STR weapons are better. As for whether or not it's worth the SKL investment: There are 13 convertable weapons in the game, plus there are 3 usable hybrid weapons (which I do NOT recommended as main weapons: Holy Moonlight Sword for Lightwave Attacks, Logarius’ Wheel for slow but high damage per hit, and Tonitrus if you can tolerate the boring moveset) for 99 Arcane, and then you have Kos Parasite being pure Arcane by default, that's 17 usable weapons for 99 Arcane. For people who are doing a 99 Arcane build, either it’s for BL 124 or 150, you don't have much points to use on STR/SKL. If say you go for 10/20 STR/SKL for Rakuyo, you meet the requirement of 7 conversion weapons, but sadly you can't use any hybrid weapons. On the other hand, with 16/14 STR/SKL, you can use 10 conversion weapons + 2 hybrid weapons. If you look into those 17 weapons, you would see that, the second highest Skill requirement is 14. That means you have to invest 6 more points JUST for Rakuyo. If you insist, go for it, but if you don't think it's worth it, then don't. It's all about personal preference.

Speed Lee I didn’t do save edits I just exploited rare drops from chalice dungeons by fighting the same bosses again and again and again until they dropped the right blood stone.
@@znightowlz6585 So you didn't use glyph to unlock depth 5 right after doing the first dungeon? If you did, those are save-edited dungeons. Before you beat Amelia, you can't possibly go to depth 4 or 5 to farm rocks without such save-edited dungeons, because in order to reach depth 4, you need Bastard of Loran which can only be found in Loran, and Loran chalice can only be acquired after defeating main game Amygdala.

1. You need a lot of points in Vitality and Arcane, thus in order to stay at meta level or COOP level, you have few or no points for STR/SKL. If I have used a weapon that someone cannot equip as the main weapon of this build, then people would have troubles. Saw Spear does not have actual stats requirement, because every origin can equip it without leveling up STR/SKL. 2. Serration in both forms, thus it always deal 20% more damage on beasts. 3. Can be acquire very early 4. Versatility. Its R1 is quick. The reach of L1 and Transformed R2 is useful. Transformed Charged R2 has follow up R2 combo that is capable of poise break most enemies 5. I better pick something easy to use because I was making tutorial videos Saw Spear is the only weapon that has these advantages. Even if you only look at 1. and 2., it's still the only one. Lastly 6. Even if I have my point, that doesn't mean everyone would agree with me some might think the advantaged I listed are not important. If I use other weapons, eventually there will be someone asking "I don't get it, of all the weapons why you use ___?", so apparently I should just pick something I like.
Ok I get it now. You have really accurate points. You can acquire saw spear with ease, it does have descent damage and since the main purpose of arcane build is well ... arcane it shouldn’t mater how much stats you have on strength and skill. Also love the video man!
Obviously wasn't part of Speed Lee's reasoning, but the Saw Spear is also one of the very best weapons in PvP, and Arcane can use it no issues since conversion makes it run entirely off Arcane. Saw Spear and Saif are very popular choices on Pure ARC PvP builds paired something more specialized like Kos Parasite.
Hey I'm doing my first play through with arcane I picked lhb and just realized I can't use the empty phatasma shell with it and was considering switching weapons its plus 7 and I was wondering which weapon you'd recommend I switch too

So true. I tried several times and just felt like Bloodborne wasn't setup for a primary arcane focus. It appears that my eyes were not open!

It's less important once you have Fire melee, but I still spend spared materials on it

So im like dumb, how do u stack those bullets when u use a blood vial?
Press up on your d-pad, it’ll give you the 5 blood bullets then press triangle to heal back that bit of health it costs to make them.

Dungeons are basically linear optional contents that leads to good gems in the end; no dungeon = no top tier gems

Fire is more effective against beast enemies, bolt is more effective against cosmic enemies, I believe

Upgrade melee first. I upgraded it to +8, my first rock was used on melee, and I didn't upgrade it further until I had spared chunks and rocks.
Is central pthumeru depth 2 required, does it give you anything good? Or does he just do it because he can.

If you are not playing online with others, you can just level up whatever you want; otherwise you better stay Level 120 for PVP, 150 for COOP

wait the tonsil stone from gilbert???? I always get it form the random house the the forbidden woods.
After activating FW lamp I believe every NPC in game becomes Patches to give player that stone. Everything goes back to normal after that.

When I did my first arcane build I just did that YMFAH 10+ weapon before vicar Amelia
If did that, those who claimed that Arcane is not viable will say "Arcane is only viable with save edited"; and those who don't have PS+ will not be able to do it.
Speed Lee I didn’t do save edits I just exploited rare drops from chalice dungeons by fighting the same bosses again and again and again until they dropped the right blood stone.
@@znightowlz6585 So you didn't use glyph to unlock depth 5 right after doing the first dungeon? If you did, those are save-edited dungeons. Before you beat Amelia, you can't possibly go to depth 4 or 5 to farm rocks without such save-edited dungeons, because in order to reach depth 4, you need Bastard of Loran which can only be found in Loran, and Loran chalice can only be acquired after defeating main game Amygdala.

I dont get it, of all the weapons why you use the saw spear ?
1. You need a lot of points in Vitality and Arcane, thus in order to stay at meta level or COOP level, you have few or no points for STR/SKL. If I have used a weapon that someone cannot equip as the main weapon of this build, then people would have troubles. Saw Spear does not have actual stats requirement, because every origin can equip it without leveling up STR/SKL.
2. Serration in both forms, thus it always deal 20% more damage on beasts.
3. Can be acquire very early
4. Versatility. Its R1 is quick. The reach of L1 and Transformed R2 is useful. Transformed Charged R2 has follow up R2 combo that is capable of poise break most enemies
5. I better pick something easy to use because I was making tutorial videos
Saw Spear is the only weapon that has these advantages. Even if you only look at 1. and 2., it's still the only one.
Lastly
6. Even if I have my point, that doesn't mean everyone would agree with me some might think the advantaged I listed are not important. If I use other weapons, eventually there will be someone asking "I don't get it, of all the weapons why you use ___?", so apparently I should just pick something I like.
Ok I get it now. You have really accurate points. You can acquire saw spear with ease, it does have descent damage and since the main purpose of arcane build is well ... arcane it shouldn’t mater how much stats you have on strength and skill. Also love the video man!
Obviously wasn't part of Speed Lee's reasoning, but the Saw Spear is also one of the very best weapons in PvP, and Arcane can use it no issues since conversion makes it run entirely off Arcane. Saw Spear and Saif are very popular choices on Pure ARC PvP builds paired something more specialized like Kos Parasite.

Hey I'm doing my first play through with arcane I picked lhb and just realized I can't use the empty phatasma shell with it and was considering switching weapons its plus 7 and I was wondering which weapon you'd recommend I switch too
A converted weapon cannot be buffed, so the Shell is sadly useless on pure Arcane build; I wish they can change that
