Chapter Titles:
0:00 Razer Razor
3:21 Bitdefender
4:20 Alpha Freewrite
7:34 Energizer Power Station
11:25 Balmuda Toaster
14:59 PSP GPS - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
1:24 "why is it so big"
Because it's for people who actually have something to shave 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol, that's what I also came here to say, it's a regular size razer for a regular size man
16:59 we heard you - "The most PSPenis thing we've ever seen " 🤣
i was like wait...no way? lmaoo
I was thinking the same thing. “Did he just say PSPenis?” Lmao
That Duracell battery looks like one of those Fallout 4 Fusion Cores.
They named the chapter "Energizer Power Station" 😂
I feel like they intentionally chose the archnemesis of Duracell
The duracell probably lasts longer than the fusion cores 💀
So true XD next they will be selling T-60 Suits of Power Armor
It is just under 5000 mAh which is kinda lame for something that big. My portal bank charger is 20,000mAh and it is still much smaller.
I gotta say, the big ass battery is pretty funny. It's a novelty power bank.
Also, FINALLY, somebody said something about Austin taking forever to open freaking boxes. 🤣
That Alpha free write is essentially the modernized AlphaSmart Neo, a typing tool for schools from the 90's. These are being junked by the hundreds across America. I snagged one and gave it a paint job, replaced the battery with a modern lipo. Keyboard is quite nice. Find AlphaSmart Neo's for nothing dollars locally.
I was thinking that the whole time seeing it. I know back when I was I grade school eons ago they had a handful of those for renting.
My highschool 10 years ago would give AlphaSmarts to disabled students who had physical difficulty writing but were able to type. I was given the option when I was loosing physical ability to write but I found it easier and quicker to type on an iPhone into a word processing app. Now everyone is allowed laptops so they probably don't get much use anymore.
2:45 Austin salutes the infamous Austrian painter
The razer razor is available since some months and the blades can be replaced by normal gilette labs blades (aren't cheap), it's not a disposable one way handle.
bro i own a razer razor
@@alexarbeloa3650how does your razor razor raize?
Always looking forward to Mystery Tech episodes. It's my kind of relaxing therapy after a long day at work 💆🏻
Same ✋
Yep, I always look forward to it as a part of my routine.
So you've had the Razer razor and the battery battery in this episode. 🤣
The pspness HAS RETURNED!
Nother day another mystery tech
I’m loving it
I used to use a Alpha product in school. Was never a pencil and paper writer but having one in school helped essays and other writing projects.
0:06 When "Them Bones" by Alice In Chains comes on.
Ahh, that PSP gps module hit me right in the nostalgia bone, used it a lot while driving across the country here. Towards the later years it did occasionally think I was driving through open wide fields, but hey, it was still gps on a friggin' psp!
Great Video Austin, Keep Up The Amazing Work Man ❤
Dang I never thought I would see one of those electronic typewriters again. I have very vivid memories of using a decidedly much more 90s/early 2000s version of that in the third grade. It was a big push in my class to have everyone learn to type on them and for the rest of the year that's how we did essays.
I remember watching Austin and Ken cranking each other with random tech. Love your videos Austin
Chills went up my spine at the crunch of the bread 😂😂😂 Love Your Channel ❤
TBH, Ive been using the regular Gilette Labs razor for 2yrs now and I fn LOVE IT. Cleanest & Quickest shave I've ever experienced. Just wish the handle had more grip and less metal.
The Alpha Freewrite reminds me of the Alpha Smart I was issued by my school back in the early 00s. You had to have a weiver to get them. This was back when you still had to physically write reports at school.
As someone who loves seeing the weird crap on the internet tech wise keep these videos up man
I loved the subtlety. Ken: let’s go to err a hotel lol
We used to have (much less advanced) Alpha's in school - if someone broke their arm or was otherwise unable to write for whatever reason then you'd be given one for a bit. Ours was literally just a keyboard with a screen and you had to plug it into a laptop to get stuff off it, so the internet connectivity is nice! Presumably it was cheaper/easier than having laptops and also no spell check or internet access - so you couldn't cheat. Ours also did have an angled up screen, which was slightly nicer than the flat one here!
Please do a follow up on that USB device that kills any device that you plug it in to. That was one of the most informative videos that I have seen on your channel. You guys are hilarious
6:04 that'd be HORRIFIC, considering how many of these will be used in coffee shops. THINK, Austin!
Yeah I really dislike noisy keyboards
I Love Austin Evans Videos 💙♥️
14:44 Food doesn’t slap, it smacks 🤣👍🏼
I love these videos 😂 you guys should come to the UK! 🖤
Come to the UK to review mystery tech outside the studio? And then?
@@jbischof71 then take it back to review at the studio
She wants the BWC 😆
A PSP as a GPS is probably one of those “why? Why not” moments
Alpha freewrite; back in the day you had thermal printers with a little 12 character display. Once the 13th character was typed the first one would disappear off screen, and appear on the paper. It was genius because you could correct. If they'd just made that display a few more lines, and would have added font support and a little printer, it would have been the perfect revamp of that kind of typewriter from the late 80's.
The price is literally seven times too high. This is ridiculous.
For way less you can buy a simple laptop that ONLY has a word processor on it that boots in windows kiosk mode.
funny thing is those laptops exist and can be bought pre-configured; they're made for Amish communities. They don't use Windows, because that makes the software non-user-serviceable (Amish principles require self-sufficiency), but rather a custom-built installation of Linux with source code included.
Matt sitting with a pillow in his lap. This is exactly the sh*t I've signed up for.
The Razer+Gillette Razer is on the Target website as an exfoliating razor, and the compatible replacement blades are sold in 4, 6, or 9 packs.
2:36 Wise words of Austin Evans. Lol
The Alpha Freewrite is actually a pretty good value if you look at it for use in its main market. Education. My brother is a teacher and there are several students he teaches that have disabilities that make them unable to hand write long form content. They actually still use an older product from Alpha which is called the Alpha Smart which isn't as smart or nice looking as the new one but It helps kids out immensely and makes it so they can focus on writing and the assignment rather than fighting they're disability which is the important part. Because it doesn't have apps or anything its also perfect for testing scenarios.
THE SHADE THIS EPISODE! MY GOODNESS!
I have the black version of that razor since they were on sale for next to nothing and it's honestly a really nice shave. They do in fact have replacement blades, the blades are about $25 for four ofc but they exist, lol.
15:22 Joanna woke up and chose violence 😂
I love these videos!
the Yikes from Ken after the PSPenis was funny 16:58
That psp is awesome love it Ken
I've been using a classic-style safety razor for a half a decade, now. I've never had a closer or smoother dhave than what I get with these $0.08 Astra Platinum Double-Edged Safety Blades.
13:59 he said stick a fork in there 😂 lmao
Just 3 chill dudes eating toast when they ask you what’s ur job nun just try new toasters with my buddy’s
I smell an ultimate PSP build coming lol
I have the GPS module for my psp, the maps were out of date when they were new
Its standard high end one with a different design has quick detach replacement heads
I have two bottle holders on my backbag. One has my water bottle, the other might hold a Duracell pretty nicely... 🤔
The alpha free ride is basically a product that's been around for 25 years. It was called "Alpha Smart" back around the year 2000. We used it in grade school to do our projects. They were issued to us because we were in a low income area and couldn't afford computers at home. It has barely changed since I used it back then, just a different shell. This is not a new product lol, it's a quarter of a century or more old.
Came for tech, stayed for the chemistry
The PSP segment was fun
Austin just make some toast ASMR videos 😂😂
The Alpha Freewriter looks so much like a device they sent home with my kids from school in the 90s. Just the keyboard and a tiny screen
I used to have an alphasmart neo2 In high school and it was amazing my favourite piece of tech I didn’t own
Austin loves him some PSP-ness
They have just plain versions without the Razer branding that come with the stand. It's just called Gillette Labs and they do have replacement blades.
I’ve wanted that Duracell power bank for so long 🤣😂
You guys should do one on the R36S Handheld Emulator device.
I will never understand how into toast they all are every time they have toast
That freewrite reminds me of the Sinclair Z88
I think i used something similar to the freewrite when i was in middle school long before tablets existed
This is just their standard Gillet Labs Exfoliating Razor but in green.
It has replacement blades a 4 pack is roughly $21.
Austin please try XREAL glases for gaming, please tell us if they are good or not?
Videos have been great lately. I ALWAYS look forward to an Austin Evan’s video
00:37 Austin's forehead trying out for Ben Stiller's part in a 'There's Something About Mary' reboot...
That Freewrite thing isn't a new concept, they were called Digital Word Processors when I was in high school in the late 2000s, and what my school had was the Alphasmart brand. It had the same USB to PC support as well for only $169 during the time it was produced for one model. I'd say they were a bit more readable than this product. Looking back as an adult I can see that they were good for just writing your ideas down but horrendous, personally for me, to go back to check for mistakes and if I wrote it down down in an easy to understood way. When I was in high school I just asked for a laptop because of those reasons plus the instant spell check and grammar checking was a need for me. If you want this experience then just get a used digital work processor for $35 on eBay as this thing is too expensive for the use. The older products had USB and SD card support for easy transfer of files when you needed to do more on a regular computer.
Now Austin, that is my favourite Gillette razor of all-time out of all of them, but also Austin what are you shaving, There’s nothing there 😂😂😂😂
You cant beat a clutch T-knobber... that is my favorite trick shot
That Razor razer makes me happy 😊
am i the only one that feel currious, wether they're intentionaly Review the Alpha Freewrite while Austin using Alpha Tauri shirt 😂😂😂
Real job searching coming soon lol
Those razer replacement cartridges will probably cost more than the razer itself.
I want the Stormy Daniels Duracell battery!
That toaster is great, all the cool kids in Japan has one.
The alpha free write is like the ones that those at school who needed extra support got given because of handwriting issues and other issues
4:22 BitDefender? LameDefender 😂😂😂
You gotta give it to Alpha Freewrite for basically just remaking the exact same product Tandy came out with 25 years ago and slapping a $350 sticker on it. FYI the Tandy version can be found for 50-75 bucks pretty easily.
8:14 thats wild haha
Best part of the ad roll, ask any IT professional and most business computers are more at risk than 90% of home PCs, business PCs almost never stay up to date
4:48 that distortion on the box made me think there was an easter egg... non i could see.
Samn that freewrite took me back to middle school in the early 2000s
i found the camera dongle for the psp. is it been in the mystery tech?
No shoot he said stick a fork in it 😂❤
This channel has just become "mystery tech" the channel
I had an alphasmart 2000 when I was in elementary school, wonder if that alpha is the same company
Duracell should include Bluetooth speaker functionality on it 2in1 power and speaker 8:02
"This is the most PSPenis thing I've ever seen"
"Oh yikes"
If you were ever to do a giveaway I would love the Freewrite.... I've been wanting one forever
I'm so happy i managed to get the PSP GPS module before the hype took off
Has he even hit the shaving stage in life yet!
What case was the PSP in?!? NEEEED
Should’ve gotten Austin a matching Balmuda phone…
As someone with misophonia, I absolutely HATE every time you guys eat in a video..... existence is pain
The psp gps is very interesting.
19:24 Anybody else appreciating the nice looking Lexus SC?
Only know Razer as gaming tech stuff and now they have razor product? Is it RGB? lol 😂 not really keeping up to date with latest tech but Razer Razor really had me in stitches 😂
2:28 NOOOOOO IT WAS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO USE A MOTOROLA RAZR 😭😭😭
I'm just here for the PSP-Ness!!!
Alpha freewrite seems a modern version of a word processor from the 30+ years ago
16:59 'this is the most PSP*nis thing ive ever seen'
That duracell battery charger comes to about 4986.30 mAh. You can buy chargers much smaller with 10k mAh
