Hi can't leave a comment the regular way. Love the granny square ❤ was just thinking about you and Steve ❤ hope you're doing well 💗 HAPPY VALENTINES DAY early!❤
You are my absolute first go-to for learning a method in crochet. This is timely as I'm making MadeByAnita - “Quiet Sky” blanket next, a lovely pattern with two-tone squares. As I write this post, the "thumbs up" counter is increasing quickly as are the comments. Thank you, Robin, we're all lucky to have you.
Thank you so much, Robin!!❤❤ I love your channel. As a newish crocheter, your tutorials and step by step crochet alongs have immensely helped me so much. Kerp the videos coming. Your friend, Tori USA❤
You are the first crocheter I've watched that holds their hook the same way I do. Usually people try to hold the hook with the end pointed up at the ceiling. I have always held my hook just as you do. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, Robin. This tutorial comes just in time. I ordered some yarn to make a temperature blanket of the year I was born and I guess now I have the perfect pattern for it.
These are really fun looking! I know there are lots of granny square themed patterns out there (bags, blankets, etc) and this style of granny square seems like it would suit almost anything! Definitely gonna check out the blog post for the blanket you showed, it's gorgeous!
They are super versatile! Changing the direction of the little triangles can make ALL sorts of geometric patterns from these diamond type squares to arrows, pinwheels, diagonal stripes - it's really cool! 😃🧶
Robin, your teaching is just excellent and your projects are gorgeous. I always love to see your yarn colors; just stunning. I did a bit of crochet many years ago and I'm getting back into it again, but as a true beginner. Thank you for these generous, well-made videos. I know as I progress I will be grateful to have you as a guide. But I need to be patient and not jump ahead to try every stitch you show. 😂
This pattern is exactly what I have been looking for. It reminds me of a quilt. I have been wanting to use up my stash and what a perfect way to do that. Thank you Robin for video.
I love it! So simple yet elegant at the same time. My son bought me some Bernat premium yarn for Christmas, teal colored, and that would be perfect for this stitch. Easy and so soft, would make a perfect scarf!! Thanks and much love Robin! 🥰❤🧶🪡
Love this, I'm also a big fan of Play Hooky with Me as well. Both of you ladies have taught me SO much! I am planning on making a mixed granny square stacp afghan, this is my next addition
I absolutely love this tutorial! I have been wanting to make crochet look like old quilt blankets I use to make, but I was unsure how to make a 2 tone square! Now I know and I will be making some cool blankets in my future! Thanks Robin
I love this! Thank you Robin, you are my go to every time to learn something new. In fact, you taught me to crochet! I find it so soothing and I've made all my grandchildren a handmade pram blanket using your teachings. I'm halfway through a log cabin granny square blanket at the moment, but have to sit under the air conditioner as it's hot in Australia!
Love it ! In my favourite colour ( yellow ) as well . Thanks for the video . Will so try that ! Thank you for " Ros's connecting stitch " , that is ingenious ❤
I just found you & your channel! Wow! I’m so happy I did! I just love this & I’m all about color. This is absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to make a blanket like yours! You’re an amazing teacher too! Thank you again so much for sharing this! Tracy❤
I really love this! I also like to quilt, which this blanket reminds me of. Another two-tone crochet square I watched holds the 2 colors together and is super cute, but seems like it would make a very thick fabric. I like this lighter fabric much better, for a great throw for cuddling up to watch a movie. I also think it's fabulous that you gave the credit to another artist for a great idea that you passed on to us! (I also watch her videos.) ❤ Cheers!
@@HookedbyRobin That is so very true! There are so many pretty yarns🧶 and patterns making more ideas …it’s like 🤯trying to figure out how to get them all done. But I try 🤪💜
LOVE solid granny square, over regular grannies. The two-tone square is lovely. The hiding of the floating strand is so smart! Thanks for showing us. With all granny squares, I usually reduce the number of stitches in the corners by at least one. I dislike the hole that extra stitches make in my work. Such clear instructions. Thanks.
Thank you so much for sharing this, I've wanted to learn this but since I've not been crocheting very long I just couldn't figure it out. TY, TY, TY, TY, TY, TY, TY, TY!!!!!!!!
👏👏👏wow Robin that’s gorgeous , I’ve been making a sewn material patchwork blanket recently but guess what now I want to make a crochet one yours is just beautiful thank you for sharing it 💖Amanda xx💕
im so sad i didnt get a notification for the new video even tho i have the bell :( THANK U DEAR ROBIN! those look so pretty, i think i gotta try it for a bag
I did something similar for a blanket I was working on. It was a granny square that just kept going out to blanket size. I started off with a few rounds of solid colors, then I did the triangle effect with 2 similar colors (hot pink and candy pink) for a few rows, then crossed the colors over for another few rounds. When I switched colors, I started in a corner that was a solid corner where I didn't switch colors for the triangle effect and resumed another triangle effect with 2 more similar colors (lilac and grape soda) and did the same as I did with the pink. After that I did the final rounds in a solid color to stabilize the blanket.
