I’m learning a lot from you bro as I’m learning all about my first C6 Corvette that I haven’t bought yet but I’m planning on thank you so much for your content
Haha i just cut a hole for easy access in my C5 a few days ago. mine was pegged at 80psi. Now i know its got oil pressure. Was kinda tripping when i bought it but heard it was a super common fail. I still crack up watching the video were you roast the car. You got a good sense of humor.
just put a new one in c6 GS. but i put in the remote sensor location kit with analog gauge. looks cool and is nice to be able to just swap it if it goes bad
Haha happened to me after i did the cam and put engine back in turned on worked next day had to go to tuner and stupid starter took a dump. Got a new one took it to tuner took it home next day starter took a dump 🤣… recently from one day to the next my battery took a dump too haha your not alone bro
I've done the sensor on my 05 C6 without cutting or removing the intake manifold. It can be done but you have to do it blind and by feel. Lots of experience from my time as a mechanic you can save time on some jobs if you get creative but also still be safe.
Bro I feel your pain spent $5k in repairs on my C6 then yesterday I lost cold air from my A/C and the compressor went out. Of course the repair is over $1.5K. I hate this car!😂
Sheesh hopefully I don’t have to have an expensive fix on my c6. The oil pressure reading lower than usual but no leaks and no sounds. Want it to be something simple but no tripping if it’s the oil pump then I’ll just cam it but I’m not ready to spend that yet 😮💨
May be the sensor if your oil is at the proper level. My sensor used to read around 40psi at all times. Once i put the new sensor in it goes to 80 when i accelerate. I never knew it wasnt working properly
@@PushingGears true I hope so and yea oil is at proper level and pressure does go up and down as rpm’s go up and down but not reading around 40 like it used to maybe 3weeks ago
Love the vids man! I have a 07 c6z with the same issue. I just want it to be an easy fix, will i be able to cut a hole in the cowl and reach that sensor as well? Or is that only a c5 thing.
and wait until you have to change your harmonic balancer , or change your steering wheel hose xD , or even better the gas tanks or torque tube , welcome to the corvette owners life
Hey it’s me, the 71 year old white guy! Great job on sending unit replacement!! If that were me I would be flipping out!! Way to stay cool Bro
That gs is a beauty and you still cracking me up with your humor in your videos, keep the videos comin

I have to do the same thing on my z06 this week, mine started reading 130psi all the time so its definitely the sensor..

Ouch! My AC is leaking from the port valves. Easy fix, but i just refilled it instead of properly fixing it.
