Not to take away from Hiramatsu-san contributions, but actually, the trademark dancing style was invented in 2005 by snare drummer band member Kōhei Shiba, after seeing the pro dance troupe "Burn the Floor." "Sing, Sing, Sing" choreography is credited to Class 102 euphonist Seiji Nakao ..Joe
All shooting difficulties aside I would rate this performance one of their very best and many thanks to Orange Devil's Fan for capturing it ! And the way the back section, when separated from the rest by the the train,sprinted after them and as one dropped straight into it - AWESOME !!! This band is just THE BEST !!!!

Thank you for posting this video. I certainly add it to the Tachibana series. I noticed from 27:24 how fast the band reconnected after the trains passed. The trumpets, clarinets, and flutes ran amazingly fast to rejoin the first half of the band that had already passed the tracks. It's a cute moment that shows the quality of the students' training.

When they play, their skills and of course their training and hard work are quite evident. They are changing the face of marching with their style and discipline. The school, the staff, the parents are obviously giving their best to their kids, and we are thankful to them for their efforts and sacrifices to help mold these artists. The popularity of Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band is very evident on this video. Too many people are now following their parade and recording their performances...
I understand the logistical issue of maintaining a barrier between the band and the fans, but the sheer number of videos made is a tribute to the students. They are very much appreciated at home and around the world. The many videos posted allow the fans to appreciate the kids much more as classes graduate and new players step up.
I for one am happy that so many people record their performances. It means we can expect to see at least a few videos from each of their performances. I hope they come back for another Rose Parade/Bandfest in the next few years, I'll definitely make sure to be there.

This has to be my favourite of all the Tachibana videos I’ve seen. It has that famous railway crossing incident(very professionally executed), it captured the pauses during the parade where the members got a chance to get a sip of water(i used to worry that they were so engrossed that they neglected to hydrate), then, the admiring crowds following and photographing the band all the way(this must be the most videoed band in the whole world👍🏼👍🏼👏👏😁

Well, this has been a good day. I had 1/2 a can of Mandarin Oranges for breakfast. The oranges were exported from Kyoto. I was able to see the excellent video of Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Band Club. Thank you for posting it. It's a happy day.
I am thinking that "overseas Tachibana Fans" are also interested in seeing "Japanese daily life", "townscape" and "historical festival" through their performances.
It's a trait among many of KT SHS band I admire. They don't leave out any member from their parades even when they are injured as they had worked hard too. Injured members marched at the back to avoid aggravating their injuries. Professionalism is another trait, they will never forget their instruments. You can see how well the last section rejoins after the crossing.

長岡京へ行きました。膝が痛むので後半を狙ったんですが、力強い音が聞こえてきた時には人が多く道路も狭く付いて行けず線路際を走りゴール、勝竜寺城を目指しましたが本当の最後にチラリと見えただけでした。残念でした。汗だくの赤い顔した京都橘の皆さんの一生懸命な姿は印象深く感銘しました。
この中から後のオービルズメンバーを探すのもまた楽しい😄

It's amazing how they rejoined the song in about 2 seconds as if they had never stopped.

ＣＧさんが少ないのがちょっと寂しい、それ以外は橘歴代でもトップレベルの年。
橘のバナーからＣＧーＤＭと繋がるラインは洗練されていて大きな見所、後にこれだけの豪華なバンドが続くのでバランス的には６人以上は欲しいです。
自主性を尊重するクラブで年度ごとの変動はやむを得ませんが、健康と美ボディが獲得できますのでバナーやＣＧを希望して入部する子も増えて欲しいですね。

皆さん同様なコメントされてますが、撮影隊の多さ移動するスピード皆さんの努力の賜物ですが、異常ですね？ひとえに橘人気だけなんですかね？相変わらず演奏心引き付けます。長丁場の撮影有難うORANGE Devils Fanさん。
これだけカメラ撮影者が多いと撮影禁止になってもおかしくない程の迷惑状態。
なんとかしないと、いずれパレードも許可された記録撮影班以外は禁止になりそう。
パレードと一緒に移動してる観客の多さ異常ですね。来年のさくらパレードこの状態でどうなるのでしょうか？狭いアーケードでのパレードに不安を覚えます。
橘の皆さんは町衆祝い行列の先頭で、すぐ後ろには小さな子供たちの麒麟隊など大勢が続いていたのですが。
大勢のカメラ撮影者がパレードの間に入ってしまって、、、撮影が禁止になるどころではないかもしれませんね。
行列の間に入り込むカメラマンや前に行くために無理やり追い越していくカメラマンの多いこと多いこと 一脚の一番下にカメラ付けてローアングル撮影してるおっさんもいましたね もう限界でしょ

It's a trait among many of KT SHS band I admire. They don't leave out any member from their parades even when they are injured as they had worked hard too. Injured members marched at the back to avoid aggravating their injuries.
Professionalism is another trait, they will never forget their instruments. You can see how well the last section rejoins after the crossing.

2年前の動画を観て、（おそらく）３年生は最後のパレードなので、見納めのつもりで早朝に長岡京に着く夜行バスを予約しておいたのですが、体調不良でキャンセル。
でも、キャンセルで正解だったかもです。
2年前よりあきらかに人が多いです。
これは追従するのは大変ですね。
次回はもっと大変なことになりそうです。

ほとんどプロの領域の部活動になってしまい、希望者が減っているのでしょうか。

自分勝手な思い込みをしてる人達が、彼女たちに重荷を背負わせてるんです。
そういう事はやめて欲しいです。

昨日今日と大阪芸大の音楽系の推薦入学試験が行われています
卒業生もかなりそちらに進学しているようなのでそちらかもです・・・
１２月下旬の定期演奏会では、全員揃ったところを見たいですねー。チケットは、もう完売でしょうか。
私は10時ジャストにアクセスしましたが、確保できたのは後方の席でした。
午前１０時３分には両日とも完売状態でした。

21：00過ぎて、行進が止まったので、どうしたのかなと思ったら（実は現時点でのほかの動画でも、ここのポイントでの動画あり、絶好の撮影ポイントだったのかな？と思ったら）、他の方からの情報や、このあと続けてみたら、踏み切りで渡れなかったのですね。橘のパレードは、こういうのもあるから、また、いろいろ面白いですね。映っているこの5件のお店、特に亀岡天神整骨院…名前覚えてしまいました（笑）。ちなみに、踏切亘るのでも、橘の場合、慌てず？しっかりいつも通り、踊りながら渡ります、笑、素晴らしい。なので、隊列が分断、苦笑。そしてダッシュ…何事もなかったように演奏…すごすぎる。
定期演奏会のチケットは、買えませんでした。残念。また、皆さん方の動画で楽しせてくださいとは言ったものの、定期演奏会は、撮影できなかったんでしたっけ？

京都橘高校フェスティバルホールのキャパは、約１０００名のようです。2回公演予定ですから、２０００名分のチケットですか。これじゃーすぐ完売で仕方ありませんね。「チケットぴあ」は、該当なしのコメントだけで完売という表示は見当たりませんでした。もし、東京で公演する場合は、東京ドームクラスのキャパの会場を探さないと対応できないということかな。
