Talking about this specific topic, Volvo seems to be taking a bit different approach to the Crash safety,
which is called "Equal vehicle for all" (EVA) Project, which is an approach to simply, try to make safety of every vehicle on the road as equally high as possible,
just simply by publishing all the datas their Volvo Traffic accident research team has accumulated over past 60 years in reports to the public, so even you can see that data anywhere, anytime if you search it on Google.
Gonna digress, but as someone who knows a bit in this field, It's presumably one of the main reason Volvo has gone all electric in earlier stage
that Going electric has Many advantages in crash safety. like you did see on the video, Teslas are impossible to be rolled over. and batteries structurally provides real solidness to the underside of the cabin, as you could see in the updated side impact test by IIHS, and it's actually harder to be out on fire unexpectedly than combustion engines.
P.S. This is a video that is a litte bit, just a little bit biased towards Tesla, so i encourage you to do a research if you found this video interesting!
Like exploring the History of the Volvo's Safety, IIHS(Recorded Dateline on IIHS videos on youtube feels educational, because of the chief at IIHS at that time explains specifically) and about NCAPs.

2012 mandated all cars stability control as most people overcorrect. Safety systems always focused 100% 24/7. Even poor drivers become better. Many times avoided a crash without knowing. Even brake assist is new. Most people do not apply enough braking with a collision. The computer can sense and makes sure full braking. With stabilty control you can stand on the brake to make sure max braking

These little features that make a big difference like the car always looking out for danger zone or in a near possible crash it will pre tighten the seat belts is so true.
Being driven in one, and have takken multiple road trips lasting hours going across the entirety of Europe, this stuff is extremely noticeable.
Our tesla has definitely avoided a bunch or car accident, and just driving with it when it automatically brakes fro seems to be no reason but 2sec layer the car ahead also slows quickly down.
It just knows whats going on a head somehow

This happened local to me on the California coast Highway 1. It was no accident - the driver did it intentionally to kill his family, he was arrested at the hospital on attempted murder charges. And there were not 'minimal injuries' as originally reported. The two adults received serious injuries, the wife was hospitalized in critical condition and was in the hospital for over a month, the driver was hospitalized with “serious lower body injuries”. The two kids were correctly strapped into child car seats that did not come loose (mom did a good job) but the children had moderate injuries - the girl had a broken hand, and the son received a head injury.

Unique Valve for shortest Braking-Distance and supirior stability while braking.
    (Important for fast Passenger Cars)
    My Invention:
I have a (complete design of) low-cost Valve that will replace the 2 on-off solenoid valves (for each wheel, in the ABS)
Will create Brakage: 98% of ideal decelaration on dry-asphalt with paddels (wet-asphalt): Thus create the best ABS in the world, Reduce ABS size (more reliable than solenoid valve).
Note: Today ABS use two On-Off Solenoid-Valves because Proportional-Solenoid is not good:
Low-Reliability, and at mid position the flow will be too high thus compell bigger-pump.

Opening doors after a major accident is normal for very well built, safe modern cars. Not unique to Tesla.

It is not produced for cheapskates .It was supposed to be safe. People should have learnt lessons from the lockdown experience. For God’s sake, people should have elevated their minds pursuing Aston Martin . which kind of life? No brand or Dior Men

I like Tesla technologies, but the reason why I don t buy Tesla is - how Tesla look, it s look ulgy, I was choked first saw Tesla, car with that tech, look like absolutely usual car, without charismatic and beauty.
however Cybertruck and Tesla roadster looks interesting but nobody knows when they starts celling
