Very similar to CoVid 19! Hypoxemia would be by diffusion block, thickening the alveolar membrane by inflammatory thickening of the alveolar membrane and hyaline debris. This would explain, from diffuse alveolar damage and diffusion block, why there is such formidable exercise desaturation, just like in interstitial lung disease! Amazing!
