After having watched a lot of your videos i decided to give it a try. I bought layers from Europe through a company based in Kigali then sent them to my village to be managed by my brother. Our chickens started laying 2 weeks ago at high percentage. We currently have 600 layers and our target is 5000 chickens in coming years. Your videos helped me to make one of the best decisions in my life 😊.
Thanks Dr. Daniel for the word of wisdom and inspiration to us. Surely you inspired me to start up with a flock of 500 layer which are now 10 weeks. I'm Iman from Jinja uganda.
It's worth it since you have employees and their families making a living on the farm. You are helping to resolve unemployment and bringing hope to families. In addition, this is an experimental phase of just 2500 chickens which allowed you to have great insights into farming, thus taking corrective action to producing your own feeds. Above all, the satisfaction and joy that you get from this entire experiment is unmeasurable. Typically, when people start a business for the first few years, they have negative cashflow, but in you case, you have made a substantial profit. It's worth it, because you are also planting seeds, teaching all of us across Africa that we can also succeed in farming and bring about positive change in our countries. Happy New Year and Blessings to you!
Congratulations to you! Home built, car bought, money coming in daily with chickens laying constantly. You are headed for millionaire status for many generations.
Absolutely worth it, especially that this came at a time when feed prices where UP, it’s a great result and I know for a fact that no one can pay you that kind of money and allow you to have the time & freedom to do other things at the same time. This has also been a reality check for me as I’m about to venture into Poultry farming, to know that it’s not all smiles and sunshine and so we should be more prepared and work at finding ways to cut down on feed costs without compromising on feed quality & quantity. Thank you Dr D! 🙏🏾
It's definitely worth it as you are averaging $14k per month. You are also building financial independence and a business your family could be employed from. This is the way to go for up and coming African nations. Africans need to reduce imports by producing locally which creates jobs and stabilizes our currencies.
Thanks Daniel for being so selfless in sharing with us from A to Z of your business acumen and the statistics that came with it. You're really an encouragement to me. God richly bless you and keep increasing you in all that you do. Happy New year and will get in touch.
I thank God for it has been a blessing to be apart of this awesome channel. Your wisdom, knowledge and hard work has not only left me stunned but inspired as well. Thank you so much Papa Masaba and may God keep you for us. Amen 🙏🙏
Creating a job for those young people, working only two months in a year, prospect of expanding, satisfaction of pursuing your passion and earning over 28,000 a year is, I think, a blessing! Congratulations! You are a paragon of inspirations. Keep it up!
When you have a dad who holds your hands, shows you the way to the river, hands over a fishing rod and awaits to see your catch, you never go wrong. Dr's dad is an amazing pillar of humility- this pair is inspiring. Still tuned in😊
Considering Ugandan standards you have the ability to play in the big leagues of business .....its 1000 times worth it brother just imagine what you can do if u have the imagination of more than doubling the flock each year in 5 years you will be a multi billionaire with a passive income many of us dream of👏👏👏
Am a vet working with a commercial pig farm in Uganda (4years experience). I think piggery is a bit more profitable. The cost of raising 1 pig to maturity is 450k to 500k. Each pig at sale generates at least 1m UGX. But it's way more risky than poultry. I want to start with poultry as i plan to leave my job as i organise for starting a piggery. I would love if you could do this video for a kuroiler farming
@@billyjoe4350 Mainly because of African swine fever. Requires very high level of biosecurity compared to poultry which at least have vaccines for most of the main diseases.
Thank you so much my brother Daniel . You are a great inspiration to our continent especially the youths who always want to travel abroad to make it life.which you are gradually changing via your inspirational videos. May God bless, increase and keep you.
This is great doc. I love you so much, commenting from Ghana. I want you to be my role model and a mentor as well. I will be privilege to be your friend too.
Hi buddy, I watched your video, and you encouraged me. I live in the UK and would like to return to Africa to establish my own farm. Thank you. We need people like you, brother. Keep doing it, man.
it has been a pleasure watching you develop the business from the initial stages of centering it on the product; the intermeiate stages of centering it on distribution and the current stage of centering it on an eco-system. from having to quit your job because farming requires a lot your time, to doing it effectively in less than sixty days a year.
That feed cost can change a lot, you snowballing your money is a great way to cycle it back out. Maybe consider feed garden scraps I know you have a nice size flock but maybe look into food waste and possible cutting feeding down to make it stretch. $28,000 isn’t bad but considering in The US that’s already about what you make working a 9-5 and still struggle or live check to check. Really like your perspective and as every other farmer it’s a learning process for what works best for your Farm and Business
This is a fanstastic achievement Dr. Daniel. From a business perspective the feed costs will really hurt in the long term...what steps can you take to have your own feed? could you not grow it on your farm? Again, i believe this step will be necessary for the farm to grow and become truly remarkable.
Thanks Dr.Daniel.I am to start poultry business now I am Berson Chidziwe from Malawi and am sure i will be learning more from you thanks alot my God bless you
Good job Dr. Daniel! I love how passionate you are with this great project. I am 💯 considering expanding mine as well. Current I have 110 kienyeji. From Njombe Tanzania

What an awesome operation. Thank you for the great information. We are trying to start a chicken farm in the Philippines on our land and we wanted to get some ideas on how to control the chicken manure. We thought of doing rice husk on the concrete flooring to control the manure that we can take and bag as fertilizer but we weren’t sure of the process for doing that. We have a building structure that will be a large circle where the inner part of the circle would be the free range part for the chickens. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. You are my source of inspiration. I am currently working abroad and planning to build bit by bit then will return back to my country and run the poultry farm, layers to be more specific, maybe with time broilers as well. I am learning a lot from your videos. God bless
hello how are you, i am Richard Okeny from South Sudan your video is so educative and i got interested in that egg business, will like the break down for a start up
