@Nathan Lister You can buy new annealers for about $500-$900, depending on the brand/type. If I were to make it, including my time, the alluminium, & having all the folds done plus all the components, it'd cost the same as a bought one. The idea of this video is to show you how to make it, if you are willing to give it a go!
@rogierius Yes, these are used bullet shells. There are a couple of reasons this is done. Firstly, the cases need to be annealed to prevent the cases from cracking, as part of the reloading process is to resize the case neck, which work hardens the shell, causing it to eventually crack. Secondly, with all the cases annealed to the same temperature, you get a consistent neck tension on the bullets, which gives you a more accurate load for a much more accurate shot 🎯

I don't own a gun, but I do iwn a curious mind. Why do empty shell cases need to be annealed? Are these used shell casings?
