About the body changes... I felt that way with my first. It's normal! Don't feel bad about any feelings. My stomach got suuuuuper bloated early on and I looked pregnant right away before I was ready to tell anyone both times. Thanks for your honesty. Just remember not to feel guilty. Your feelings are so normal! I dealt with eating disorders in my teens and the weight gain during pregnancy was very hard for me. But what no one talks about is the pride you have in your body after becoming a mom. My body is not perfect but it grew my wonderful daughter, delivered her into this world and fed her all on its own. I have more respect and appreciation for my body now than ever. You'll get there too girl :)

You’re definitely not alone Colleen. The first 3 months of my pregnancy I felt miserable. Please know it’s VERY DIFFICULT to be excited when you’re feeling AWFUL! I promise it will get better...One day I woke up & just stopped feeling sick. That’s when I absolutely LOVED being pregnant. (Well. Mostly. Then you get the swollen feet, peeing every 5 minutes & feeling too uncomfortable to sleep at the end..BUT the 2nd trimester was fantastic!) You’re gorgeous & will continue to be even more beautiful. I’m certain. 💜
Pregnancies are like people, they are all different and unique in your own way. If you get pregnant a second time, then you will see how different each one is. You are going to be swelling in places you didn't think your body could become swollen, which is why your ankles and feet will start to swell. FYI, you are going to be reading a LOT of books since this is your first child. I'm also glad you aren't a Scientologist, because post partum is real and you need to be aware of it.
I am currently pregnant, we're having a little boy in November and I've been experiencing the same thing. You're used to dressing your body one way and knowing it will look good, and all of the sudden it doesnt look the same and it doesn't fit. It's hard to be getting bigger, but not look big enough to be noticeably pregnant. I'm now to the point where I definitely look pregnant so I have to dress around my tummy and buy shirts that fit and it's hard. They dont make a lot of cute maternity clothes and it is hard because I can't express myself with the style that I normally like. You shouldn't feel bad for saying you don't like being bigger. For me at least I don't mind going up a couple sizes but pregnancy weight is totally different! And your body is changing so quickly and every week you're trying to find clothes that fit you and look good and that represent your style and your personality. It's exhausting to try to adjust that so frequently. Plus you're dealing with hormones that make you feel even worse about yourself! Just know that you are normal for feeling this way, you're not a bad person or anything. I've not enjoyed pregnancy either and I'm very excited for it to be over haha! We can do it!! :)
First thing my sister told me after giving birth was "I'm not ever getting pregnant again. We're adopting the next one" and her pregnancy didn't have any medical complications it just.... sucked!

Any emotion you currently feel is normal. Each pregnancy is different. Just try to embrace each stage, they don't last very long. I too had body insecurities with my first pregnancy. As women we give up so much to give life to another human. Complain all you want, that part really sucks, it does not take away from how much you love your itty bitty baby💞

Girl! With both my pregnancies i felt the EXACT same way you are. I couldnt fit into my pants in my first trimester and that was really hard. For the whole pregnancy i pretty much felt like my uterus took complete control...i didn't feel like myself...ever. im so glad you talked about this because everyone i knew loved being pregnant and i felt like i was the only one that felt this way. One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever heard was this: “Telling me I can’t feel sad because someone has it worse than me is like telling me I can’t feel happy because someone has it better than me.” You have every right to feel whatever you’re feeling! Your feelings and experiences are your own. So feel sad! Feel unhappy, emotional, and miserable! My only advice is to find things that you also find the things that make you happy. Give yourself a chance to feel, but don’t let it overwhelm you. AND CONGRATS!!!

No everything you’re saying is so true and not many people speak on it. I’m 19 weeks right now and my start weight was 96 lbs and I’m now 120. It’s definitely hard to be confident especially when you’re first starting to show but when you start showing more, you’ll begin to feel so much more confident because it’s more defined and people don’t have to guess. But I understand what you’re going through. It’ll all be worth it when you start to feel him/her move around. It’s so exciting so just keep your head up. You’re already glowing 💘❤️

okay you're not alone... I have had 3 kids now and every single pregnancy the doctor would say it's as if the child pulls all Health from my body for the child and I am getting nothing... So I fully agree and how pregnancy is just miserable... It is a blessing and I am so grateful but I a hundred percent understand how you feel and I'm right there with you girl!

I felt the same way! I was 100 pounds at 5’9”, so I was extremely thin. I started showing at 7 weeks and felt SO guilty that I complained about how I looked. I felt grateful that my body was creating a home but it’s hard to not feel beautiful with all the changes physically and mentally. By the end of the pregnancy, I had gained 68 pounds and lost it 3 months post partum... since it went away so fast, I now have extremely loose skin. Finding happiness in my own skin took a long time but It gets better with time. Wishing you the happiest pregnancy!

I felt the same way when I was pregnant with my daughter. Prepregnancy I was 100lbs. 30 minutes before I pushed. I was 175lbs. 2 hours after I had her. I was 140ish. It took 2 years to bounce back but darling. It's worth it.

I waited until I was 20 weeks pregnant the first time to get maternity jeans/ leggings and I wish I had gotten them sooner. I felt uncomfortable, large and my body felt foreign every single day. Getting actual maternity clothes helped SO much. Also the comfort factor cannot be denied. With my second I started wearing maternity clothes right away and felt so much better! I also started showing when I was 9 weeks.
I had an awful pregnancy for the first like 6 months. Once I got a decent bump, I will say I never felt more confident. I think once you really start showing, hopefully that feeling goes away bc i miss my bump bc I felt so good about myself.
New mom here, I've felt like I was having a break down as I'm adjusting to everything changing and I'm happy my little sister recommend this channel. I'm feeling calmer to know I'm not alone, being told how I'm just blessed can make you feel so alone when you feel miserable
Colleen. Everyone is different. Embrace and enjoy. I have two kids. My first pregnancy-zero morning sickness. Terrible back labor. Delivered my son in 10 hours. My second pregnancy- terrible morning sickness. 16 hour delivery. Both kids delivered on their due dates, water broke on its own. Full term. With both pregnancies, I did get bronchitis. And that was very difficult. Other than that I really enjoyed being pregnant. It will get better I promise.

Any emotion you currently feel is normal. Each pregnancy is different. Just try to embrace each stage, they don't last very long. I too had body insecurities with my first pregnancy. As women we give up so much to give life to another human. Complain all you want, that part really sucks, it does not take away from how much you love your itty bitty baby💞

I'm 2 months pregnant and honestly I am 100% with you! Pregnancy sucks, its hard seeing the "bump" when all you see is that you're bigger because your bump isn't a bump. The break downs and not understanding my emotions is the main thing that drags you down. It is so hard and I really sympathise with you about feeling ungrateful but it's not pregnancy sucks haha. It will all be worth it in the end and that's the only thing that pushes me. Love ya gurl always here.

Girl! With both my pregnancies i felt the EXACT same way you are. I couldnt fit into my pants in my first trimester and that was really hard. For the whole pregnancy i pretty much felt like my uterus took complete control...i didn't feel like myself...ever. im so glad you talked about this because everyone i knew loved being pregnant and i felt like i was the only one that felt this way. Your feelings and experiences are your own. So feel sad! Feel unhappy, emotional, and miserable! My only advice is to find things that you also find the things that make you happy. No everything you’re saying is so true and not many people speak on it. I’m 19 weeks right now and my start weight was 96 lbs and I’m now 120. It’s definitely hard to be confident especially when you’re first starting to show but when you start showing more, you’ll begin to feel so much more confident because it’s more defined and people don’t have to guess. But I understand what you’re going through. It’ll all be worth it when you start to feel him/her move around. It’s so exciting so just keep your head up. You’re already glowing 💘❤️

okay you're not alone... I have had 3 kids now and every single pregnancy the doctor would say it's as if the child pulls all Health from my body for the child and I am getting nothing... I felt the same way! I was 100 pounds at 5’9”, so I was extremely thin. I started showing at 7 weeks and felt SO guilty that I complained about how I looked. I felt grateful that my body was creating a home but it’s hard to not feel beautiful with all the changes physically and mentally. By the end of the pregnancy, I had gained 68 pounds and lost it 3 months post partum... since it went away so fast, I now have extremely loose skin. Finding happiness in my own skin took a long time but It gets better with time. Wishing you the happiest pregnancy!

So I have “sorta” been trying to get pregnant and the things you talked about are my exact worries. I’ve always been a pretty small girl and thinking of my body going through these changes and getting sick and feeling awful and guilty about it happening is such a scary thing. Aww, Colleen. When you have a smaller frame you tend to show more! It's normal to feel the way that you do. Also, your hormones are changing with your body. That adds a lot to how you are feeling as well. Much love to you! We are no judging you.

I’m pregnant with my first right now. 16 weeks tomorrow. I do understand where you’re coming from. I just lost 125lbs in the 18 months before I got pregnant and I’m struggling with seeing my stomach get big again. Which causes that guilt you’re referring to. I’m so thankful to be pregnant but I can’t shake the feeling of fear of getting big. It’s so complicated! Also, you’re showing soon cause you’re tiny girl!!

I felt the same way when I was pregnant with my daughter. Prepregnancy I was 100lbs. 30 minutes before I pushed. I was 175lbs. 2 hours after I had her. I was 140ish. It took 2 years to bounce back but darling. It's worth it.

I waited until I was 20 weeks pregnant the first time to get maternity jeans/ leggings and I wish I had gotten them sooner. I felt uncomfortable, large and my body felt foreign every single day. Getting actual maternity clothes helped SO much. Also the comfort factor cannot be denied. With my second I started wearing maternity clothes right away and felt so much better! I also started showing when I was 9 weeks.
I had an awful pregnancy for the first like 6 months. Once I got a decent bump, I will say I never felt more confident. I think once you really start showing, hopefully that feeling goes away bc i miss my bump bc I felt so good about myself.
New mom here, I've felt like I was having a break down as I'm adjusting to everything changing and I'm happy my little sister recommend this channel. I'm feeling calmer to know I'm not alone, being told how I'm just blessed can make you feel so alone when you feel miserable

Colleen. Everyone is different. Embrace and enjoy. I have two kids. My first pregnancy-zero morning sickness. Terrible back labor. Delivered my son in 10 hours. My second pregnancy- terrible morning sickness. 16 hour delivery. Both kids delivered on their due dates, water broke on its own. Full term. With both pregnancies, I did get bronchitis. And that was very difficult. Other than that I really enjoyed being pregnant. It will get better I promise.
