I believe the rule of thumb is (anyone can tell me if I am wrong), if you are going to do any kind of hit like this and you know a child or a woman will be caught up in it (not an intended target), you don't go through with it. I believe this fueled Canche's anger (as it would anyone's) and caused the scene in season 4 when he had them on their knees on the ground. Think about what you do before you do it. Actions have consequences.
I still don’t understand why they couldn’t have had a Clean up crew on standby to make sure he was Dead rather than rely solely on the bomb 💣 the bomb put an Innocent at risk which I side with Angel there but at the same time It gave Canche the excuse to Rally his Troops so if Canche’s kid was taken out in the blast…well it will be an interesting Next season
At this point Mayans don’t have the dough to pay a clean up crew. It was the Galindo who was doing that stuff for them at a certain point. Clean up, money to politicians, cops, feeding the folks in prison and so on.

Okay so the writers are confusing as fuck, they say EZ and Jax are not the same yet on hand EZ staying in the mc life exactly like Jax but then on the other hand Jax would not have been okay with blowing up a clubhouse while a kid was in it cause remember back in soa season 6 Galen tried that shit, so the writers are full of shit and EZ man even gangs need to have a line they don't cross and that is killing a kid, the writers need to do better because they are just reusing the same stories while trying to say that they don't want to be in SOA shadow, Angel is awesome channelling his inner tony Montana
They didn't WANT to kill the child, but if it was necessary, it had to happen in order to kill Canche and stop the violence from continuing. EZ has the moral high ground on Jax if anything. Jax started to kill for no reason after season 4. If he could come up with a reason to murder someone, he'd justify it. Even Unser and his own mother. I do see the similarities you're pointing out because Mayans MC and SoA have too many to name. I think thats the point but you're right it puts them in their shadow.
They're opposites sides of the same coin. Ez is someone who had a normal life, lost it and now is inmersing himself on the mc life willingly Jax on the other hand was someone who never had a normal life, was inmersed from the beginning on the mc life and wanted to have a normal life.

@@stayfly68 it'd be cool, but it will never happen. Charlie hunnam has made it beyond clear he never wants to play jax again as it took him to a dark place when the character was put to rest. Which is understandable, you play a character for so long and as immersed as charlie played jax and it's gonna be hard to say goodbye and reopening that wound could be bothersome to an actor who's as committed to his roles as charlie is.

Jax towards the end became a cold blooded murder who wouldnt even think twice about killing compared to when SOA first started and he hesitated to execute the mayan that clay ended up finishing off. I havent watched mayans completely but if this is what the main character is doing cant say im not happy he ended up getting stabbed up. Jax wouldve never killed a kid whether fx was restricted from stuff like this back then or not i cant see that. Even in season 7 he still had moments that showed he wasnt to completely a monster. This guy EZ tho, thats insane
This is where we see that dark trait Felepe says Ezy inherited from him.I think it also might be a moment where we see the traits Felepe says Angel inherited from his mom... Otherwise i don't see anything else to suggest why Angel would become the reasonable person in the situation.
The only thing I hate about this scene is that they used a 197X CHEVY NOVA to bomb this garage to take out Canche. And I hate that for a number of reasons. 1. The explosion didn't bomb the entire garage so the Nova, I think wasn't in complete shambles. Thus, giving police clues to tie that classic car to someone since its rare. Not to mention fingerprints may or may not be traceable. 2. WHY!?!?! Why not just use the Toyota!?! 3. Maybe because the Nova is a rare vehicle and that the girl would have gotten pulled over for something if it was the Nova. But still....WHY!?!
