Im glad ypu showed these two yarns together to show how much the same they are. I ordered the Melange from Red Heart. I ordered 6 skeins. It comes 3 and 3 separate in plastic. Its very pretty and i ordered the color you are showing, Catwalk i think it is. I would Love to oder the other one just to compare as you did to see which i prefer but to order only one skein would probably cost a fortune 😢 Have made anything with either yarn t9 compare them, i would be so happy 😊 if you did. Thank you so much again❤ Maryanne from Monterey and Salinas. CA❤
It is the same yarn. Yarnspirations imports their fibers fromTurkey and China. Great job! I am loving your camera. I can finally see you and the beautiful squishies 🥰👏🏽🧶
Thank you! I wanted to note where both were made, but Cookie is supplied to Hobbii by "Jorgën" and I couldn't find a "made in" country on their info anywhere! But it's totally the same ;)
Oh wow how beautiful! I have some of the Roll with It in several colors BUT I have not tried it. I am new and there are just so many yarns I haven’t but WANT to try! So overwhelming!!!🧶😊
Such an awesome review. The swatches help to see the stitch definition of both yarns. Such an informed review you provided so much amazing information on how similar the two yarns are as well as the benefits of buying from either company. Thank you for providing such valuable information
Thank you for doing a review comparison on these . Ordered the Cookie last year from Hobbii when it was on sale . Definitely have noticed a lot of the yarns I love are available in the US under brand names I know. Research is strongly recommended before buying anywhere. 😏 I’m a new subscriber, looking forward to getting to know you . 🤗👍👍👍😁❤️
I just put in an order from Hobbii for some cookie yarns. They are on sale. I think I paid around 7.50 for a skein which is a great deal.it's not surprising that a yarn is put out under different names. The yarns are made in Turkey, India or China.
Hi, newbie to your channel here. Awesome comparison. I love in Canada and ordered the cookie for a project I wanted to do. Wanted the Cookie yarn for the man's poncho from BOD Crochet. I had to buy some red heart to go with the Cookie yarn to add thickness. It took 2 1/2 months to get my order. I can go to Wal-Mart and get Red Heart Melange. I don't care of the price difference, but once you take the cost, exchange rate plus shipping into consideration the cost is probably even. Not to mention when I want a yarn, I want it now....not 2 1/2 months down the road.
I'll probably never see these yarns in person but really enjoyed the comparison. As James C Brett and Sirdar/Hayfield is usually what I use being uk, re your lys purchases, what US yarns do they compare to. Never used red heart or premiere so would find it really interesting.
Hobbii does have names for their colorways, but it Europe it isn't common that the color name is written on the label. If you go to the website, you'll see the names. Same way about the yarn weight - In European standards, it is a bulky yarn. Looks like the Red heart one is pretty much half the amount of the cookie, so going on the assumption they are the same yarn - it makes sense the one from Hobbii will cost more... Other than that, yeah, they are quite similar. In terms of colorways they have a few which resemble one other but I think the roll with it have mostly short color changes colorways while cookie also has a few which are long stripes or ombre effects.
Once I thought about it, the only real difference, yarn-wise between these yarns and Ferris Wheel is the actual colouring! All three are super light roving style. Ferris Wheel is one of my favourite yarns!
I love the cookie yarn from Hobbii and the yardage is double. I can make an extra large sweater from 2 skeins of cookie plus when they ;have it on sale it is really worth purchasing it . Cost of my sweater was 18.00 US and shipping is only 7.95 US plus faster delivery than most US company’s here in the states. Just sent in another order for one of their yarns.
I THINK I mentioned it toward the beginning, but I was pretty nervous lol Regular price at Hobby Lobby is 6.99 for the Red Heart, the Hobbii is currently on sale for $10.60 but it says its regular priced $13.90 :)
It would not surprise me if those companies make that yarn and then use the extra etc. for the cookie etc. 90% of all if from Turkey so isn’t a long shot to think that. They are identical if you as me.
I like the Cookie yarn from Hobbii and it’s definitely not a 5 weight. I would say that it averages somewhere between a 3 or 4. I’ll have to try the Red Heart.
OMG, I got a cake of a yarn at Hobbii this spring called Picazzo and paid over $20. I swear it is exactly the same as Premier's new Spun Colors, which came out a few months later, which costs $7.99. For the same yardage. :|
Aww I was hoping to ask if it at least had more yardage, til I read the last line! I love the spin colours, if it had more yardage it could be awsome lol
@@thecrochetwitch Yeah, I was annoyed when I saw the huge price difference. But, what are you gonna do? I'm much better at comparison shopping now, though I don't think Spun Colors was out when I got the Picazzo.
Interesting🤔 Thanks for the yarn comparison I love working with the Cookie too I think our Panda brand, Crypto 8ply here in Australia, is similar, if not the same as, Lion Brand Ferris Wheel and both are made in India 💜🐨

Nice comparison thanks.
Great review. Love Hobbii yarn but this is a great alternative. Thanks for sharing.
Great comparison - I agree these are very much the same yarn (funny I have the same two in my stash)
See, we have great taste, Gary! Lol
Thank you for sharing x appreciated x
Love your ring on pointer finger left hand 💖
Thank you! I meant to take at least a few rings off in case they bothered people, or clicked. I was nervous and forgot lol

@@thecrochetwitch I would have never guessed you were nervous, you did amazing! Keep up the great work.
Those colors 😍. I love the color transitions. Great review!
They're both beautiful, aren't they?? :)
Thanks for the review. Haven't tried either of these yarns.
You did great

Yep accessibility can go a LONG way!!
It is the same as Red Heart Roll With It!!
I'll probably never see these yarns in person but really enjoyed the comparison. As James C Brett and Sirdar/Hayfield is usually what I use being uk, re your lys purchases, what US yarns do they compare to. Never used red heart or premiere so would find it really interesting.
That Sidar Jewel yarn that I got at the LYS is also VERY much like these yarns, if I didn't say so. They even have similar colours!

When its on sale and I have some money, I know for sure I want the mustard colourway!
I love comparison videos! Sorry if I missed this...but did you cover price? Are they priced similarly? Another great vid.
I THINK I mentioned it toward the beginning, but I was pretty nervous lol
Regular price at Hobby Lobby is 6.99 for the Red Heart, the Hobbii is currently on sale for $10.60 but it says its regular priced $13.90 :)
OMG they are basically the same.

of course i cant find that color on hobbii and i cant find all the colors i need of the melange!!! lol
I like the Cookie yarn from Hobbii and it’s definitely not a 5 weight. I would say that it averages somewhere between a 3 or 4. I’ll have to try the Red Heart.
