So you mentioned that our NAND Backup will look a bit different from yours if we took the FAT32 route; now my backup has been several years ago and I don't really remember where exactly I stored my backup. I've found files in a directory that have a boot0 and boot1 file accompanied by 8 other files called "full.00.bin" up to "full.07.bin" and it's about 29.1GB in size, so I assume this is the backup I'm looking for but I'm not entirely sure ^^'
When I try to mount the emuMMC from the backup Hekate says that "Error mounting SD card!" I have already done the RAW partition (i already had one) and i have the three images well backed up in my PC. For whatever reason I can do it with boot 0, and boot 1 but not with the emuMMC backup. Help please.
If you already have the backup, you can just restore it to your console. You can do it using the hekate restore tool but you need to partition the sd card first.
@@sthetixofficial The point is, I had already done everything as you said, but when I try to restore the emuMMC backup(from the computer to the Switch, it pops up that error mentioned before,.no matter how much I tried. All of this situation is due to the old SD being corrupted and not being capable of creating or deleting any content(thus forcing me to use the USB tools or anything non related to the SD card). Anyways, I just have done it by the other method in your channel using AOMEI and only cloning the partition of the emuMMC (cloning the whole SD was too slow) and then pasting the files from the old sd to the new. Hi, great tutorial but still bit confusing for me as I bought switch modded already. Especially that part with backup/restore and fuses count/ I thought it's going to be "no worries" process, do a backup and then restore whenever it's neccesary... I think I have that moment now and I need some help. I tried to update hekate and atmosphere so I downloaded newest Hats and I just copied/replaced old files on SD and then after the restart I got only black screen after logo of Hekate, there's just blink of Atmosphere logo and black screen.. Same when I try to boot Stock from Hekate it's only Nintendo logo and then black screen. What I did before all of that was editing hekate_ini from bootloader folder bcuz I wanted to remove eMMC on SysNand from Heakte Launch by avoiding to click that by accident. SO after I removed this part from .ini file the console only Booted to OFW but I couldn't access Hekate. SO I brought back everything to how it was before and updated all the files and now it's only black screen. I have openede console to see the rp2040 diode for potenatil errors but it's fine I guess. When console start it flash 1x blue, 1x white and no yellow so no errors. After that I decided to format that SD card and start over with new Hats only, then I created eMMMC and partition etc. so at this point I can trigger Hekate with Vol- but can't run OFW or CFW... and scanning eMMMC does not show any errors Edit: What I also discovered is with new prepared SD Card, new partition in hekate etc after trying to go beyong that black screen on SD this folder is created: warmboot_mariko? It does not come with Hats so how is that created when Im stuck on black screen?
at 2:10 you say if you want to restore console nand, meaning incase of failure and you uwant to boot it back to the current state at which the backup is made ? does this include the emunand or just the sysnand?

Personally, I don't have access to my sysnand, so what am I supposed to do, if I reboot into ofw it doesn't work because I don't have one In the ''launch'' menu I have only acces to CFW, there is no sysnand

Did you restore the nand that came from the console? and did you launch the CFW? IF you can run the CFW, please update the firmware to the latest firmware and you can run the OFW afterward.

Hello, I've followed your guide carefully and after restoring the files successfully, when I select emuMMC from the Hekate home menu the emuMMC is still disabled and I can't boot into the CFW/emuNAND. I think your guide is missing the step of copying other files from my old SD card over to the new one maybe..
Just bought a Oled Switch modded, and a tried to make the backup, and it came with 50gb size, instead of the 29.1gb that I read is the "normal". This can be a problem if a need to restore?

you dont need to think about the 4GB file, as we usually install games using DBI / Tinfoil and we dont need to copy the game installation file to the sdcard. so fat32 is fine.

A fresh install of windows is required and cannot do it now so I am stucked transferring via the sd card method.... Splitting files at the moment. Would be easier for me to use exfat... Please help!! My h4cked switch worked just fine, till I had to switch languages and my console had to restart. Now it freezes all the time on the Nintendo Switch Logo(that's shown right after the atmosphere logo) when I try to boot into Sysnand/EmuNand That means I can't use it anymore to play games, the hetake menu works just fine but it's impossible to go past it, cause it freezes on the Switch logo. I already got the new zig patches but nothing works How do I get rig of my problem 😭😭
@@sthetixofficial no, it was running the hats package normally, its the v1 unpatched... it overheated one night, all of a sudden, then the next day it was working fine and I put it to sleep and it never woke up =( now if I boot it normally I get a blue screen and if i inject the payload (tried yours as well from your system recovery video) it stays with the black screen when it used to appear the atmosphere screen and enter hekate. it doenst enter anymore so I-m thinking hardware issue =(

@@sthetixofficial sadly after reinstalling hats i still encounter the same bugs there's an error when starting apps it shows error code 2123-0011, and also i cant run certain games like demonslayer even after reinstalling the game via dbi/tinfoil
try doing the systemwipe to wipe everything off ur console and re extract the pack afterwards.. fyi i cannot comment / give support for games installation issues
Hello, I've tried backup NAND using HDD RAW copy tool But when I looked at the size on the PC for some reason the rawnand file was only 600 MB, but when I did a backup I saw the size was 31GB. Is this normal?

you can move it to your pc to save your sd card space.

you might want to replace the emmc chip, and try to reload hekate later.

@@sthetixofficial sadly after reinstalling hats i still encounter the same bugs there's an error when starting apps it shows error code 2123-0011, and also i cant run certain games like demonslayer even after reinstalling the game via dbi/tinfoil
try doing the systemwipe to wipe everything off ur console and re extract the pack afterwards.. fyi i cannot comment / give support for games installation issues
Hello, I've tried backup NAND using HDD RAW copy tool
But when I looked at the size on the PC for some reason the rawnand file was only 600 MB, but when I did a backup I saw the size was 31GB. Is this normal?

your emummc is file based. so you need to copy it to your pc . look inside the emummc folder.

instead of HDD raw copy tool, NX Nand Manager can do it's job too without risking other storage devices
no that won't work if ur nand is f*cked. (if ur emmc chip has gone bad and u are using a new blank emmc chip)
