Thank you for this information, was very helpful. And some things to add, than can help : 1. With donor_prodinfo.bin copy and the donor.keys in switch folder. 2. Download the newest version for EmmcHaccGen-GUI. The old one in the archive will not work with newer firmware. At this time the highest firmware that is supported is 17.0.0. 3. If you use 17.0.0 (or higher if possible) after you are done and you run official firmware the console will stuck on black screen. This is normal and is caused from systemwipe. It will happen on firmware from 17.0.0 or up. Systemwipe messed with some files, it always do that but before firmware 17.0.0 was not a problem. To fix it run one time the latest atmosphere from mmc. Atmosphere will fix the problem automatically. 3. Unfortunately the original firmware will never work correctly - most of the times you will never pass the configuration screen with the language and time. After you configured them it will give you system error. Even if somehow it work you cant use online functions, you are missing a lot of data, that this switch need. You even dont have a real serial number anymore. 4. For now on you can use only CFW on this console. Witch is not bad, not bad at all.

I did tried LV1,2,3 & new method, tried many times...maybe my step is wrong previously, so I failed many times! This video can fix my 2105-0584 problem. But I still not sure why I failed to upgrade from 16.0.0 to 18.0.0? I need to update 17.0,.0 before 18.0.0? @@tanerdelle5676 kind of hard to explain, I've done quite a few of these, as far as modding them and had never messed one up, I have several with picofly and two that are unpatched, so one of the ones I have that's unpatched I had recently put a different menu on which I had never done before and I had accidentally updated it which in the passed was never an issue, so I went and wiped the memory card thinking that would fix it, when it didn't I freaked out thinking I bricked it when I didn't and was stupid and didn't back up the nand because I thought it was no good. Well it turns out that it was because I forgot to remove the menu which I was told I had to do but forgot but by the time I realized this I had already bricked it trying to flash it. I can still get into the hekate menu and have access to SD card, I followed the Instructions here several times and haven't been successful.
I would like to say thanks for all the guides, very informative and straight to the point. Got a V1 Switch tablet only that a part from damaged SD connector was also bricked with no backup or able to extract the Keys methods one and two failed, but this last one seems to be the fix. Now I just need to get some joy cons to pass the initial setup and do some testing but so far so good.
I was told by the original poster that I would need to reflow or re-ball my emmc chip, that was not the case. I just needed to replace the module and then use my original nand backup to restore. After restoring nothing was working because it was a stock fresh clean and backup. So I was on the lowest firmware. From that point I had to update atmosphere and then update the firmware using daybreak and all is good!!!!! Just got done doing a nand backup And archiving it in 20 different places in a zip file. Lol
After you replace the module and restore the original backup nand, how did you manage to use daybreak? Is the switch already booting after you replace the emmc module?

Hi when i try to dump from sysnand with lockpick rcm it show "FatFS error NOFAT" unable to mount system partition, the emmc is just freshly installed does this mean i have a corrupted or dead emmc
After trying to reball my emmc chip without a stencil i learnt the hard way to not fk around and find out. Ripped pads on chip and very toasted emmc motherboard. I ordered a replacement emmc chip + board from aliexpress hopefully that will solve my dumb mistake

This method is for hacked consoles only. So if your console is stick on joycon logo, there is something not right on the joycon connector inside the tablet.
OLED gets stuck at the Nintendo Switch logo. I tried level 1, then 2, and finally 3 (no issues). I work in IT and this has been easy to follow, I always start fresh. New SD card (sandisk official) and format it as exfat for the donor nand restore, then i switch to fat32 with latest hats pack to boot switch but its the same problem. I've tried different SD card readers, different firmwares (latest 18.1.0 didn't work so i tried 17.0.1, my fuse says it expects 17.0.0+). I tried older hats pack, no SD card and bypass chip, atmosphere and hekate on their own without hats, but always stuck on nintendo switch logo. I guess something is broken inside? (This started when I used Linkalho, it corrupted my fat32 SD card and somehow my switch stopped booting cfw or ofw. Now I cant boot anything.) Thank you for your videos though, they are very well done.
@@sthetixofficial In my case, Linkalho was also the case. I tried step 1 and 2. With no luck I did step 3. All successful but after normal boot there is a black screen now. Used to be stuck on Nintendo Switch logo now stuck on black. Something is very wrong with that software. If you can figure this out I would be eternally grateful. Thanks
I installed a wrong nand since the folder created when making backup does not match and now the atmosphere logo remains and does not start or in ofw the screen remains black, will this method work?
Without the SD Card, it shows a red icon of an SD Card that says "boot.bin?" After inserting SD Card, the payload injects but the screen stays blank. Serial number has been checked and is not patched. Any ideas?
Hi my screen has turned purple. Did the initial steps. Put the SD card back into Switch. Still boots into purple screen and not the Hekate. I also have a complete backup as well. OLED Switch
Hi there. My switch shows 'hekate-no-sd' when turned on, but when SD card with payload inserted, it's just a black screen (no Hekate menu). Most forums I visited says it might be a CPU or eMMC problem. I'm going to try this, thank you.

I have a switch with a damaged emmc, hekate said it failed to init emmc. No backups, prodinfo, boot0, nothing. Bought a emmc module replacement and it detected correctly in hekate. Can i use this method to rebuild the nand? Edit: it's an ofw, never jailbreaking it before.
I'm in the same situation - no backups, failed to init emmc in hekate. Used ofw. Tried an emmc reader to recover keys, but couldn't do it (device wasn't recognized). Is it broken beyond repair? Apart from re-balling, are there any other options?

When I boot OFW, an error displays code 2101-0001. I'm currently on 16.0.2 firmware. When I boot into CFW, it gives me an atmosphere error code 2101-0001 and "Program: 0100000000000014". I tried formatting the SD and starting from scratch but came to the same destination. I had this error when 16.0.0 was released but was able to fix it that time by reformatting. Any ideas? I'm totally lost.
To those that love saying it's impossible well one things for sure nothing is impossible , someone will always find a way eventually. When nintendo switch first console release peeps were saying its impossible to jailbreak and now v1 and v2 jailbroken 😅 , to the latest oled all you need are modchips with some solder skills or seek help bam jailbroken 😅 so nothing is impossible .

I have a v1 unpatched that is not getting detected in tegra or any other payload software. the screen is completely black and I tried to put it into RCM mode with the jig but nothing. This all happened when my switch came up with a fatal error and told me to restart my switch by clicking power button. I believe it said: Fatal error: [NXBOOT] Unable to identify package1! Press power to reboot What can I do to get it detected in RCM mode? I have left it on charge for days still nothing.
my switch lite is not recognized by tegrarcmgui, also the PC usb ports turn off when I connect the switch to it, forcing me to restart the computer to make them work again
Thanks for sharing this info. My screen is blank and although I have tried various methods to wake it up (holding down power button, volume down, etc) the screen stays blacked out. I do hear the noise on my PC when connecting it to a USB but screen stays off and it won't boot? Is it likely bricked?
@@sthetixofficial I am in the same situation... with my oled , it has a corrupted emmc and it stays in black screen...(I have a NAND backup) when plugged into PC it is recognized as Nintendo APX Device. The Instinct NX is soldered correctly all the points have good readings and nothing is shorted. It was working fine for 5 months. :(

even if it is broken u can boot ur console normally m?. u can try using my ready made boot0.. but it doesn't important at all if in the end you can boot the console just fine

hi @sthetix I followed this guide to bring back my bricked switch from the dead, and it worked. but 1 question, how would i go about updating the FW version?? last time i tried, i had to do the unbricking process again.
I have a patched switch and it was brand new when I bought it. Took it to a friend's house to play at work just fine got home and it wouldn't boot. Did some troubleshooting and I was able to get into the Hecate boot menu where the options to back up the nand and other options are. It says failed to initialize the emmc, and I can't restore the nand because of it. Would this guide help with that?

So what i eneded up doing was downloading 3.1.0 ........ If you rapid click, eventually the command will prompting telling you which version to downolaod. For me it was 3.1.0

I was trying to update my hekate and atmosphere, think i did it wrong, got an error screen and now wont turn on AT ALL. Would this possibly work? I tried reloading the original sd card when i got it and it still wont boot. ill try anything just wanna make sure im not wasting my time
got it booted into hekate, following onscreen instructions, with a fresh sd card, so whatever i f-ed up on the other maybe i can fix, as it had 512 gb of installed games. ugh... thanks tho! youre channel has saved me many a times with 3ds and now switch!!!
I have a purple screen oled, I am able to get prod.keys boot0 and boot1 but unable to mount it on nxnandmanager. On hacDiskMount it loads and It shows a prodinfo file but when I dump and load it in nxnandmanager it looks corrupted. Should I give up on retreaving the original prodinfo and just install a donor prodinfo like in this video? it hacdiskmount it says using Backup GPT is primary is bad

I have a switch oled mod with picofly and have corrupted nand. Unfortunately this guid doesn't work, because I can't run atmosphere, just hekate without NYX. SD Card reader is ok. Is it possible in some way to boot into atmosphere with a corrupted nand? And other question: is it possible to load atmosphere with a new "clean" solderded emmc?

You are safe to connect the console to the internet because i assume your original prodinfo is lost and your console is the same as "banned"

If you have the original prodinfo you can discard the one generated from the prodinfo_gen tool.

After trying to reball my emmc chip without a stencil i learnt the hard way to not fk around and find out. Ripped pads on chip and very toasted emmc motherboard. I ordered a replacement emmc chip + board from aliexpress hopefully that will solve my dumb mistake

Hi! your video is awesome, I would like to ask if this will work on my switch that is stuck on joycon logo, can't go to recovery mode, only way to turn it off is holding the power button, the switch is unpatched model, but never tried doing the cfw, please help me
This method is for hacked consoles only. So if your console is stick on joycon logo, there is something not right on the joycon connector inside the tablet.
OLED gets stuck at the Nintendo Switch logo. I tried level 1, then 2, and finally 3 (no issues). I work in IT and this has been easy to follow, I always start fresh. New SD card (sandisk official) and format it as exfat for the donor nand restore, then i switch to fat32 with latest hats pack to boot switch but its the same problem.
I've tried different SD card readers, different firmwares (latest 18.1.0 didn't work so i tried 17.0.1, my fuse says it expects 17.0.0+). I tried older hats pack, no SD card and bypass chip, atmosphere and hekate on their own without hats, but always stuck on nintendo switch logo. I guess something is broken inside?
(This started when I used Linkalho, it corrupted my fat32 SD card and somehow my switch stopped booting cfw or ofw. Now I cant boot anything.)

@@sthetixofficial In my case, Linkalho was also the case. I tried step 1 and 2. With no luck I did step 3. All successful but after normal boot there is a black screen now. Used to be stuck on Nintendo Switch logo now stuck on black. Something is very wrong with that software. If you can figure this out I would be eternally grateful. Thanks

I installed a wrong nand since the folder created when making backup does not match and now the atmosphere logo remains and does not start or in ofw the screen remains black, will this method work?

Without the SD Card, it shows a red icon of an SD Card that says "boot.bin?"
After inserting SD Card, the payload injects but the screen stays blank. Serial number has been checked and is not patched. Any ideas?

Hi there. My switch shows 'hekate-no-sd' when turned on, but when SD card with payload inserted, it's just a black screen (no Hekate menu).
Most forums I visited says it might be a CPU or eMMC problem.

I have a switch with a damaged emmc, hekate said it failed to init emmc. No backups, prodinfo, boot0, nothing. Bought a emmc module replacement and it detected correctly in hekate. Can i use this method to rebuild the nand?
Edit: it's an ofw, never jailbreaking it before.

I'm in the same situation - no backups, failed to init emmc in hekate. Used ofw. Tried an emmc reader to recover keys, but couldn't do it (device wasn't recognized). Is it broken beyond repair? Apart from re-balling, are there any other options?

It only works for exfat. You can use fat32 after unbricking the console. I've said it in the beginning of the video, we need to use exfat sd card.
When I boot OFW, an error displays code 2101-0001. I'm currently on 16.0.2 firmware. When I boot into CFW, it gives me an atmosphere error code 2101-0001 and "Program: 0100000000000014". I tried formatting the SD and starting from scratch but came to the same destination. I had this error when 16.0.0 was released but was able to fix it that time by reformatting. Any ideas? I'm totally lost.
usually that error means the m92t36 chip is damaged

To those that love saying it's impossible well one things for sure nothing is impossible , someone will always find a way eventually. When nintendo switch first console release peeps were saying its impossible to jailbreak and now v1 and v2 jailbroken 😅 , to the latest oled all you need are modchips with some solder skills or seek help bam jailbroken 😅 so nothing is impossible .

I have a v1 unpatched that is not getting detected in tegra or any other payload software. the screen is completely black and I tried to put it into RCM mode with the jig but nothing. This all happened when my switch came up with a fatal error and told me to restart my switch by clicking power button. I believe it said: Fatal error: [NXBOOT] Unable to identify package1! Press power to reboot
What can I do to get it detected in RCM mode? I have left it on charge for days still nothing.

my switch lite is not recognized by tegrarcmgui, also the PC usb ports turn off when I connect the switch to it, forcing me to restart the computer to make them work again
Thanks for sharing this info. My screen is blank and although I have tried various methods to wake it up (holding down power button, volume down, etc) the screen stays blacked out. I do hear the noise on my PC when connecting it to a USB but screen stays off and it won't boot? Is it likely bricked?

@@sthetixofficial I am in the same situation... with my oled , it has a corrupted emmc and it stays in black screen...(I have a NAND backup) when plugged into PC it is recognized as Nintendo APX Device. The Instinct NX is soldered correctly all the points have good readings and nothing is shorted. It was working fine for 5 months. :(

You cannot connect it to the eshop again unless you have the previous nand backup, extract the prodinfo from it and flash it to the console

if u have the original nand intact, just do the emmchaccgen step without the donor nand.. and i dont know about the likle tool. i will look it up.

I have a patched switch and it was brand new when I bought it. Took it to a friend's house to play at work just fine got home and it wouldn't boot.
Did some troubleshooting and I was able to get into the Hecate boot menu where the options to back up the nand and other options are.
It says failed to initialize the emmc, and I can't restore the nand because of it.
Would this guide help with that?

maybe the keys arent there? or you havent installed the correct dot net version, it should be 3.1, you can find it in the description.
So what i eneded up doing was downloading 3.1.0 ........ If you rapid click, eventually the command will prompting telling you which version to downolaod. For me it was 3.1.0

I have a purple screen oled, I am able to get prod.keys boot0 and boot1 but unable to mount it on nxnandmanager. On hacDiskMount it loads and It shows a prodinfo file but when I dump and load it in nxnandmanager it looks corrupted. Should I give up on retreaving the original prodinfo and just install a donor prodinfo like in this video? it hacdiskmount it says using Backup GPT is primary is bad
If you ever made an emmc, you can extract the prodinfo data from it

I have a switch oled mod with picofly and have corrupted nand. Unfortunately this guid doesn't work, because I can't run atmosphere, just hekate without NYX. SD Card reader is ok. Is it possible in some way to boot into atmosphere with a corrupted nand? And other question: is it possible to load atmosphere with a new "clean" solderded emmc?
Just replace that picofly and use a proper one. Picofly is known can damage the console. And btw i've uploaded a new guide fo the level 3 method.

even if the nand is corrupted, it should be able to boot to hekate.
