White flights are nice, but they are also a dominant gene that is tough to get rid of when it mixes with other colors or patterns where it is unwanted. $10.50 is totally fair price for a homer. Takes at least that much to get them to a year old in feed. I would reccomend you find some massive Giant Runts also. I also think that's a dominant opal, but both opals can vary substantially in phenotype.
Beautiful new pigeons. I googled a bit and it led me to search on Lemon Pigeons. That then led to references of them as extreme dilutes. Will be interesting to have that rare flock collection reproducing.
I have three sons. I feel your pain, but Rosters will do what they can to defend their hens. Going after the Hens is one of the quickest ways to get on the bad side of Rosters fast. I learned that the hard way when I was young.
Also the baby swifts color is called chocolate dun And the new pigeons are opal barred homers and yes you got a very good deal on them usually they are $70 each
Great video Jordan. You pick some pretty birds out at that auction. I can't wait to see if they'll home for you. Thank you for sharing again, peace out
@@JordansHarvest U R welcome Sir, Your's & Bobby's vids are very enjoyable. As a shooter and ex pigeon, dove and pheasant keeper-breeder - I can highly relate!
You got a great deal on those! See a lot of common colored homers at shows starting at $15 each. Also, would love for you to come and hunt geese this fall and can show you the breeds of pigeons we have.
Always great to watch your videos. I have a hen like yours. Also looks white but you see the very light red bars, like the last bird you showed. She's paired up with a white cockbird. They bred somered grizzle and black babies with white flights.
The 3 homers are beautiful. Good price. My experience is limited, but I was unaware that those rare colors existed in homers. I used to see those colors in rollers. Perhaps someone did some crossbreeding, possibly very long ago. They look like racing homer conformation.
In the shows they are, but still beautiful all the same. The first is a Opal white bar, the second I believe is a Silver and the very light bird 3rd I think is what would be considered a Milky ? I would seperate the Swift’s by themselves. They will pair up, if it’s two hens there will eventually be 4 eggs instead of 2. If they never lay two cock birds. Silkie roosters are great around kids and still do their rooster duties
Maybe an idea for a video would be taking a few of the feral pigeons to the next auction and letting us know what they go for..? Pays for your next rooster maybe? Or even some more awesome pigeons.?? Idk an idea.. lol absolutely love your videos! Keep em Comming!!
Nice silvers & that’s a steal of a price especially if there’s any kind of loft or active flyer’s that are behind them Average price for mediocre flyers start around $50 per bird and if you get into rough weather & endurance bred bird’s your gonna start around $100 per bird on the low end & if you go for direct offspring of winners $500-1000 per bird depending on if you go with short med or long distance or if you go for more speed bred or endurance etc etc It would be fun to mail a few to each other and once you get them you feed & water and rest them a day & then release them the following morning to fly back to me and we can time them & get there overall flight speed and all
Hey Jordan get a grey-hatch rooster mix they protect the flock really well and most of the time if handled correctly are pretty gentle to humans at least the few hundred I have handled also they look very beautiful in my opinion I wouldn’t have any other rooster
You should throw some hay on the floor so they can use it for nesting material or something. You got some great looking birds. Your new Homer's are all young birds.
Hola Amigo Much Love From Mexico. I Try Them Eggs Already There Good. Tastes Just Quail Egg! Who needs cable when we. An see Jordan videos all day baby!
I don't think the homes are proper race birds but damn their absolutely beautiful Ps you should make an aviary for your pigeons so then can feel like their outside for once and not trapped inside the loft also its good ventilation and less dusty
10.50 a bird isn't a bad price for those colors. I will say if you are buying Homer's, you should look into racing pigeons. It's pretty awesome to raise them and watch them come right back. Also, there is always the possibility of your bird winning.
I have an Easter Egger rooster that was given to me because he was being too aggressive with the lady's hens. Yeah, he's like that. For a little while he was giving *me* attitude and trying to sneak up behind me. He even cut the back of my leg once. I thought that he was about to be delicious. IDK, I took pity on his dumb... and kept him around. For a while he would run at me and I would nail him with a feed can, I use plastic coffee cans, or I would just stick out this pipe I carry with me and he would attack it. I found that if I stood my ground and chased him off and made him back down that he eventually figured it out. I think it was a dominance thing. Of course he did jump at me a long time ago. He thought I was going after one of the hens. He jumped straight up about 4 or 5 feet and landed right on my chest while I was on the mower. I excused that one because I want him to protect the hens. He didn't know what I was doing. IDK, you have kids. That is a whole different world. Easter Eggers are known to be a little aggressive. You should try something like a light brama they are known to be very passive roosters even though they get huge. I had a Buff Orpington rooster that was very tame as well. I free range all of my chickens so I want some of the aggressive traits that most people are trying to breed out. I want roosters that will pick a fight with a coyote so that the hens can get away. It would be even better if they could win. LOL!
Those homers are around 4-5 months old you should try too breed them. if i was you i would try to collect the youngsters from all lofts and try to release them. I like watching your stuff greeting from Germany!
Good evening Jordan, Your pigeons are lovely but a bit of a mish mash. Homing pigeons need to be on their own. In the UK they would be banded and certificated, so there would be no doubt about their bloodline. Sorry that Cogburn spurred your son in the neck - put him in some soup - not your son - Cogburn!! Good on the pigeon trapping and goats but no sign of the new ducks and the gibbs. Turkeys must be on their way soon??? Hope the odd eats are coming up before long. The pigeon loft needs a clean out, desperately!! That's your weekend sorted out!! Have a good 4th. Malc and Ann (England) UK xxx
Those new Homer's look real nice those birds are kinda hard to get so I would say they r pretty hard to get I would love to have these in my coop one day
Put your homing pigeon outside in another loft with the view of your property to familiarize them and put in young ones too so when you train and free them they will imprint and follow on the homing pigeons
That is called blue white bar I've been breathing these type of birds since 1991 all different colors with white bars keep that bird and take a look at him he's a beautiful pigeon
Awesome videos you need to build some kit boxes for your rollers pairs then you can fly them when you fly your expensive racing homers and the hawks don't get the racers as often I don't like the Hawks getting any but that's on trick I have seen done and you can fly your rollers and watch them role in the air..
Hi Jordan ,nice birds these are really some of good pigeons ,about the loft I hope you make it more organized meaning by that keep producing couples only and get rid of the rest or pair them ,i wish you can get a really good pigeons breed call sevillanos they are so much fun to fly and are really good show pigeons
Sir, Could you sometime describe in detail (show and tell) what clues or details you look for to make such a quick determination that a bird is young, mature or quite old?? Love your videos! S. Carolina
Hi when are you going to fly your pigeons i will like to see you do that and you must make a trap at your loft to let your young can go into your loft👍🤔
dear Jordan better get an aseel cock bird also known as Japanese Shamo they are big roosters but very gentle and like to be hand handle. They will be nice around kids
The high five always cracks me up 🤣
It never gets old to me!

You picked up some good pigeons from the auction, never seen any that look like them👍🐦
They are new colors to me!
Beautiful new pigeons. I googled a bit and it led me to search on Lemon Pigeons. That then led to references of them as extreme dilutes. Will be interesting to have that rare flock collection reproducing.
Wooah! The lighter one is a Lemon Reduce Color and it's Very Rare!!! Nice picked up
I have three sons. I feel your pain, but Rosters will do what they can to defend their hens. Going after the Hens is one of the quickest ways to get on the bad side of Rosters fast. I learned that the hard way when I was young.
I can’t blame a bird for being a bird.
I know what you mean with the high five thing. I always say YEAH or HEY when a yabbie/crawfish raises its claws at me make me laugh
Lol!
Awesome birds! Great pick up. Looking forward to seeing your homer flock grow
Thanks!
I think its time i get in this game of raising pigeons. This looks like so much fun.
It’s very entertaining!
Congrats. You can also train your ferrals.maybe not race them, but train them, yes!
thats a nice collection of pigeons
Those are opal cream bars or opal white bars and opals. Very nice looking birds great deal on them.
Also the baby swifts color is called chocolate dun
And the new pigeons are opal barred homers and yes you got a very good deal on them usually they are $70 each
WoW, this is different than what I usually see in other Pigeon TH-cam channels. Different kind of lofts, you explaining things etc
Keep it up.
Great video Jordan. You pick some pretty birds out at that auction. I can't wait to see if they'll home for you. Thank you for sharing again, peace out
I sure hope they hang out!

They probably are more common then I know

I agree with are freind youd love it mate thay will all home as long you breed them yourself just make a trap in a barn wimdow keep up the videos
Yes That's a good deal we have sold so for. 500 or more their usually reds and spekled whites some blue bars 200 but we raced them
Racing birds can be pricy!
Yo! That reduced color look really nice! Separate them if you wanna breed a pure homer. And build a flyers loft for them :)
10.50 a bird isn't a bad price for those colors. I will say if you are buying Homer's, you should look into racing pigeons. It's pretty awesome to raise them and watch them come right back. Also, there is always the possibility of your bird winning.
It’ll be a bit but I really want to do that!
Your all ways so happy
Cool looking birds
Homers can go up to 100 grand for high quality. 500 is cheap for average homers. So you got a steal!!
Hi! What if You try to breed racing pigeons?? I also think that the reduce color pigeon is at least half blood of racing pigeon!!
Hi mr jordans harvest how are you i sayed before to you dont stop we always like your Followers and your channel put camera inside pigeons cage
Thanks for sharing your videos
Thanks for watching!
They are young and you should make exit outside for them and let them fly. Cool birds. Homers.
Keep the white flights and red ones and the grizz
Very nice cool looking color 👍
very nice colors very rare.

Thanks Felix!!!
That's a silver bar I also have those colors stay beautiful colors put them together they'll give you a beautiful babies

you have to despur your roosters. which will help from attacks and wont poke the hens when mating.
👍

Thanks for the to do list lol!
I do need to spend a bit of time doing some cleanup
Those are nice birds a mix of white and blue bar I think
Those birds are either opal or reduced indigo.
Jordan: yea he gave me a high five
The pigeon trying to protect her eggs: WHAT D9 YOU WANT FROM ME
Lol! Completely accurate!
Jordans Harvest YOOOOOO YOU HEARTED MY OMMENT AND COMMENTED OMG
Very nice pigeons 😇

Awesome!
That one pigeon looks like a seagull 😂
What do you feed your pigeons? Just got some and would like to know what’s best when you let your pigeons have babies.
I get a blend made for me. Milo, corn, wheat, and a protein pellet
@@JordansHarvest thanks
That is called blue white bar I've been breathing these type of birds since 1991 all different colors with white bars keep that bird and take a look at him he's a beautiful pigeon
I read that buff orpington roosters are very docile maybe you should get some kind of orpington rooster ?
Orpingtons are great birds!
You should get into racing your homing pigeons😁
the last one is call a pearl, or a reduced white.
Its about time!!! Now u can train and fly them from home. You just need to build a flying loft that perches 30-50 birds 👍
I agree!!!
That was a steal for those pigeons I normally pay 20$ for regular blue bar homers and 75$ for that color
Wow! I kinda feel like it stole em!
Awesome videos you need to build some kit boxes for your rollers pairs then you can fly them when you fly your expensive racing homers and the hawks don't get the racers as often I don't like the Hawks getting any but that's on trick I have seen done and you can fly your rollers and watch them role in the air..
Great tip!
That would have been a come to jesus for the ol rooster with the ole 10 gauge less than a minute afterwards and for dinner later
Sorry that happened to jr. Hey Jordan can you get a spot at the auction to sell some of the birds that you have just wondering
I’ll see if I can sell some next sale!

Yes that is a good price
That’s a great deal on those birds i have spent way more on birds that color.

I’ll see what I can do!
Looked very beautiful friend
On the humorous side , you didn’t say that you had your personal make up artist 👩🎤. Nice 👍 touch with the feather, mate !!!
love the videos
Thanks so much!
Hi when are you going to fly your pigeons i will like to see you do that and you must make a trap at your loft to let your young can go into your loft👍🤔
🤙🏼cool colors. Hope you record the feral loft clean out and the madness it will entail 😂🤘🏼🤙🏼
It’ll be a bit crazy for sure!
Breed the second homer when it’s older, you might get some barless colors which is rare
sounds like a catch and cook situation
If I the guy that gave him to me didn’t want him back, CCC would for sure be in order!
Got them homers for cheap! They look awesome too!
What do u use for that the pigeons sit in for nests
It's the hen that carries the if pied
Now I just got to catch me some more pigeons
Those homer’s are young you maybe able to break them in. Try and separate the birds based on breeds.
I’m planning on it! I wasn’t planning on buying pigeons at the sale though lol!
i think that first two is a opal white barrs
What do you do with the pigeons you trap
Adam archer is a TH-cam that know a lot about pigeon
I’ve been in touch!
dear Jordan better get an aseel cock bird also known as Japanese Shamo they are big roosters but very gentle and like to be hand handle. They will be nice around kids

I might be able to get some
That's opal bar or white bar and the second bird is either opal or indigo
Are there any owl cross pigeons yet ?
Not yet!
First bird white bar defo opal....
That's the way we spell 'colour' here in the UK ;)

Awesome!
Yes
Hey cut spurs on rooster and file round. Helps.
