I’m a big fan of Focal sound. Incredible detail, tonal accuracy and dynamic presence. With their Flax drivers you will experience a touch of warmth to their otherwise lively and engaging sound. Their speakers have good height and width but lacks a bit of depth. That’s why I have Sonus Faber as my secondary speakers because they are the masters of sound stage and imaging. I have Focal Aria 926 and Sonus Faber Lumina V.
This is probably the best sounding demo of these Focal Kanta's I've heard. The Marantz pairs nicely with them to me. I haven't enjoyed them quite as much with other amps, especially class D's. Nice sounding cover of the Bozz Skaggs too.
Kanta 1 is probably my favorite Focal, insane for money speaker!

Thanks for the listen. Great song choice. I purchased a new pair of Electra 1008 BE’s two years ago. I’m using a Hegel H90 and stream Tidal through BlueSound Node 2i. Cardas Parsec cables connect the speakers which sit on a pair of custom Sound Anchor stands. A match made in sonic heaven. The Kanta 1 sounds like a notch above in terms of sound stage, imaging, bass response and clarity, but these Electra’s at $2999 for the pair are amazing.
These sound amazing with everyday music, very well controlled at least with this song. A good speaker to compare this to in a similar price range and size would be the Sonus Faber Olympica 1. Great demo and thanks.
This drmo was recorded with my old Portable zoom H4nPro, now i use a new professional method that is much better, you can take a look of last sound demo comparison with Sonetto 1, anyway the Kanta is sublime and i wish to recorded it again in comparison with Olympica.thx for comment.

Focal Kanta is an exquisite speaker ! Kudos on the presentation and the nice job of setting up the microphones for the recording. So often in speaker display videos the sound shifts as the person recording the video moves through the room which is very irritating where the sound is concerned.
Absolut lovely speaker, i always recording my video 2 times, one only mic and one mic and camera shot, in this way i use a pure audio without me in front of speaker.i still working on better mic and better Technik to recording speaker.is not easy and will take a little bit of time but hope to have something soon.thx for comment

I have the Chora 806 and they make me smile inside every time I play them, I can only imagine how much better these probably sound!

Excellent! But Focal has a bizarre deficiency in their speaker range: there are no 2000€ standmounts at all. They have the Aria 905 at 800€ and then this Kanta n.1 at 5000€ and a top model at 7500€ over it but nothing in the range 1000-3000 €
Good reason to buy Dynaudio Evoke 10 at $1500.
@@user-hp7lm1sb9o In a very small room or study, Dynaudio Evoke 10 us probably the best speaker you can get: big enough to fill such a room with a dynamic, balanced, coherent sound, yet not too big to overpower it with bass as these Focals would. Also the distance between tweeter and midbass driver is too large on these Focals for a small rom.

Viewing this 2/18/24. Great audio review of Kanta 1 and awesome choice for source material!! Great cover an awesome classic tune!! I'm definitely considering these speakers as next upgrade, but can't find anyone within 2-1/2 hour drive that has these to audition. Right around start of COVID found a retailer in SanFran, but wanted upfront fee of almost $200 for audition cost 🤨 !!! Focal Kanta 1 and KEF Reference 1 are in final choice. I've been able to demo KEF Ref 1 multiple times and REALLY like their sound in all areas of sound reproduction 🎉🎉!! Just from tech info the Kanta series have caught my attention. The KEF Uni-Q design for it's tweeter/midrange placement and sound is amazing for my ears!! Curious what you may have compared the Kanta 1s against before purchase 🤔?? If I may make a suggestion on next source music... try using Boz Scaggs, "Thanks To You," from Dig release. Awesome tune and great recording! Look forward to your reply for help on speaker decision... thanks.
Kanta line are awesome, generally Focal sounds more natural compared to KEF, i am not really a KEF lover, i always found them too clean and clear to my ears, but i have also to say that i never tested one in my environment so is only an impression based on Hifi store or shows auditions. Unfortunately KEF looks not interested to send anything to review on this channel but i will be glad to test them when they will be ready!

Is the Dynaudio Special Forty compatible with the Marantz Model 30?
I have this Marantz Model 30 with the Dynaudio Evoke 30 and I think it's very musical.
But it seems that with Focal Kanta NO 1 it can go overboard and become exaggerated in the highs/trebles. Perhaps a Yamaha A-S2200 is better with the Kanta NO 1.
I didn't had this feeling, I found the model30 incredibly a good matching with Kanta N.1

Weird music for this type of quality speakers!! Focal Kanta N1 will perform much better with more sophisticated music.
