You should look at the marble effects they do on cars. It's a specific type of paint and they lay syran wrap over it and pull it off and it leaves a marbled effect. Not to hard to pull off and looks cool as shit.
Honestly think the opinion is it looks like j Izz splatter on a guitar unless it’s blood red and thats a bit niche and the crackle just looks like a burned damaged finish But yeah after seeing the ability of painters now other finishes on guitars and cars etc seeing splatter or crackle or swirl dip i just feels low effort Just honest opinions and maybe why other people complain about those finishes and like variety
I love flat black guitars with gloss black hardware and highlights. I recently did my ex-351 in that theme as well as a little blood red mixed in. It is definitely now my favorite guitar.
@claytonmiller4381 What kind of flat black paint and clear did you use? I’ve been wanting to paint my explorer flat black but haven’t decided on what paint to use.
i love the crackle and splatter, i started painting my guitars and im finding myself doing a lot of splatter because its easy to do but when thats all i do its good to change it up, im at a roadblock for ideas for what to do on the guitars. my lack of creativity is not helping and i really have to work on that.
i love the metallic stuff, i had an old early 90's hamer that was beautiful, but what would be cool is a mix of all types of finishes. that would be sick.
I keep seeing "jawbreaker" guitar finish where they spray multiple colors and sand through them (think Vernon Reid ESP) I want a detailed guide on how to do it
I really like the hydro dipped I think it would really look sweet with a light splatter to it as well. I have done a burnt guitar once and to be honest I really liked it. After watching this and listening to you I am wondering now what a burnt one with a splatter would look like. With the affect of almost as if it got the splatter of being to close to an object being painted
The lynch/hookups guitar is fucking rad!! Love the take on the design
The paint finishes depending upon type of guitar 🎸... Dipping Solid Color Metallic Crackel Splatter Wood grain .. Cheers. 🍻 🥃🥃
Happy to see GG2 back!
Oh yeah here before the video even starts let's get it!!!

I love crackle. I'd love to see a sparkle crackle.
That hydro dipped Ibanez looks great
I don’t understand why people don’t like crackle or splatter I love em excited for the rest of season 4 awsome

I adore quilted maple guitars and if i had to chose, solid colors are generally my favorite. Although,I do like a good burst.
Nice finishes Mark. Love the metallic one. Looks like you are doing great!!
That Charvel is beautiful! 😍
I started out doing swirl paintjobs but I want to learn how to do the crackles. You are my crackle mentor, Mark.
I really liked the Lynch style
Should do a tutorial on swirls your way.

can we do a burst with crackle paint? like instead of the base having different colours can we use multiple coloured crackle paint…
Nice t-shirt.
