I love this guy, they were so heavy for 1960s. Send Me A Postcard is like early Sabbath :D And I like it when they groove too. Inkpot! Heavy, trippy, groovy, pop, all in one band. Amazing.
I loved that. Good on you Robbie. Just researching Dutch bands I remember now I'm back in Sydney. After two 3 month stays in Amsterdam I have a fondness for things Dutch from ShockingBlue to Dafne Schippers lol whom I watched run in their OLYMPIC STADIUM in 2016
Very nice instrumental version of this great song. Love the original version too, of course. Robbie van Leeuwen is an excellent songwriter and musician, a master of great riffs and sound. In team with Mariska Veres and the other Shocking Blue members I think he created some of the best/ most interesting rock music of that era.

People often forget that they only had two guitarists against a lot of bands 3 so Robbie always did a cracking job covering rhythm and lead. This clip demonstrates what a great and modest guitarist he was, not to mention his songwriting skills. Any chance of a solo tour !

Robbie is genius. It is absolutely clear. IMHO Shocking Blue and Black Sabbath is some pair - soft and hard respectively. In current time I see similar pair Xandria (with Lisa) and Draconian. You should take some lessons.
I would say this is a very dampened down version of Venus and not all that exciting.
