Mr Burt Bacharach. Letting you know now while you are here. You and Mr Bob James haven't gotten your standing ovation. Later is to late. But today 🏆🥃. Thank you for your talent and what you have given the 🌏🌍🌎
We came from the same neighborhood and went to the same high school. He really needs to go mainstream and keep the great American songbook alive. He’d put Michael Buble and josh groban out of business, and i like them. Imagine john and Lady Gaga together!!
I’m one of many who know this song best through Ronnie Milsap but it’s Burt’s heartbreaking lyrics that make it what it is. Rest in peace, Burt. You were a legend and your music will live on forever.
John Pagano is AMAZING - he's the best kept secret in the music industry. His "Pure Imagination" CD is my favorite recording of the year. What a voice!
I love the original Chuck Jackson recording from 1962. Bacharach is a master. I love all his songs and especially all those which made Dionne Warwick the star she is today.
I adore the Elvis version. He does it his way, beautifully. This one is more like the Milsap version, which is country. Yay to all the Bacharach songs.
Incredible version !!! Burt Bacharach is a genius & knows how music genius should sound. Proof in the pudding was all he did for Dionne Warwick. John Pagano was tremendous on this song !!! Thanks for posting this.
Any Day Now" is a popular song written by Burt Bacharach and Bob Hilliard in 1962. It has been recorded by numerous artists over the years, including notable versions by Chuck Jackson in 1962, Alan Price in 1965, Elvis Presley in 1969, and Ronnie Milsap in 1982. The lyrics of this song predict the eventual demise of a romantic relationship the lyricist is in with an unnamed person whom the lyricist believes will get away one day and leave the lyricist with feelings of sadness and emptiness for the rest of his/her life.
There has been a number of other people who have recorded this great song, but I believe that Ronnie Milsap is the only other artist that comes close to John Pagano's version.
I remember the first time I heard John Pagano. It was something like 20 years ago with George Howard singing Shower You With Love, a song I still listen to today. Amazing voice.
Saw John ( and of course Burt!) in Malaga last month. Burt was Fantastic, but John Pagano's voice has to be heard to be believed. This video, although very good, doesnt do him any justice So pure and effortless. When he sang Any Day Now last month it brought tears to my eyes. Bliss! Great voice singing Great music! Long Live burt and long may John join him on tour
I love this video. Can't stop watching. A another beautiful song by Burt and brilliantly sung by John - what a voice! I started listening to Chuck Jackson's version but much prefer Burt and John.
@@garymorris9571 You know, I hate to disagree when someone loves a certain version, but Elvis does this and blows me away. I can't stay away from it, I love it so much. I am in heaven listening to his heart wrenching version.
This song is here because it was written by Burt Bacharach and Bob Hilliard back in 1962. Bacharach is doing it here because he co wrote it. There have been several really great version of the tune, and why not? Just another Great hit Bacharach helped write.
Seems Burt wrote this song I found out on google. However I still stand by what I commented months earlier. Milsaps version seems to of been the most popular version that crossed the charts with this hit. So now I learned something I didnt know.
No disrespects to anyone who wrote or first sang this song. But lets be real here for a second. Ronnie Milsaps version was the one that really launched this song on the pop charts and air time in the mid 80's.
Burt really knows what he is doing. John did a great job on this song. And listen how burt guides him with the piano....briljant in any way Burt recorded it with Chuck Jackson. So Burt was in control of the hole session recording. The version of Chuck is also my favorite. I did not like the version of Elvis and the version from Milsap is soso.
As great of an artist as Elvis was, this song was best sung by the ever soulful Chuck Jackson. (Except for Burt's wonderful piano accompaniment, this version simply falls short.)
Beautifully sung by John Pagano. My favourite version however is Dionne Warwick’s live version at the Australian concert. You feel more the sadness and heartbreak the song demands. It’s really is sung with passion.
Susan Urquhart your taste of course, but the man who wrote the song has chosen this man (John Pagano) to sing / present this song for many years now. Do you really think these men don't know what they're doing ?
maleficentdiva but it would help if he could actually count to 3 and then maybe 4 so he could possibly stay in time with the poor musicians trying to cover up his pathetic musicianship
@aammirr so Bacharach chooses to play alongside musicians who can't play his songs and uninspired vocalists....I don't think so.Wash your ears out and take another listen.
no disrespect taken but lets be totally honest and say that the people in the know knew about this beautiful song 20 years before ronnie milsap even sang it .........it belongs to chuck jackson today and always and the only version that comes anywhere near is one by soulfulstrut .......a man with a few videos on you tube and a truly outstanding voice .........he may not be known commercially but his acoustic version leaves ronnie milsaps way behind..
No one sings that song like Elvis Presley!.. The man just made every song his own!
I love anything Elvis, but no: the original by Chuck Jackson was better. Elvis struggled a bit with the key the song was in.
Mr Burt Bacharach. Letting you know now while you are here. You and Mr Bob James haven't gotten your standing ovation. Later is to late. But today 🏆🥃. Thank you for your talent and what you have given the 🌏🌍🌎

Great song for Elvis and Ronnie Milsap. Thanks for posting

Rest in peace, Burt. You were a legend and your music will live on forever.
My fave isthe Chuck Jackson version. Didn't know 'til today Burt wrote it.
John Pagano is AMAZING - he's the best kept secret in the music industry. His "Pure Imagination" CD is my favorite recording of the year. What a voice!
Great song - love John Pagano's voice. Thanks for posting !
Beautiful song and a beautiful version. This trio of singers Burt picked are so perfect.
Soberbo, maravilhoso e tocante. Pena não termos mais o Burt por aqui.
If this world were a fair place, John Pagano would be a household name. The man's voice is just amazing.
Agree!
Incredible version !!!
Burt Bacharach is a genius & knows how music genius should sound. Proof in the pudding was
all he did for Dionne Warwick. John Pagano was tremendous on this song !!!
Thanks for posting this.
Excellent trumpet.
Remember what Dionne Warwick did for Burt Bachrach. It was all mutual. Jesus is Love
Saw Burt live. My favorite composer.
The awesome B Side to Elvis’s Classic In The Ghetto in 1969
Perfect! Clearly Burt is in heaven. That says it all. Thanks for posting.

That's a lovely slow version of this great song, thanks for sharing 👍
John Pagano He did a perfect performance by a perfect singing voice. Burt was intoxicated with it, too.
Elvis imortalizou esta linda música❤
Elvis ❤️🇬🇧
I remember the first time I heard John Pagano. It was something like 20 years ago with George Howard singing Shower You With Love, a song I still listen to today. Amazing voice.
1-2-22: Burt - CHUCK JACKSON OWNS YOUR SONG THE VERY BEST❤️⭐️
Another great version of Burt's hit. Excellent trumpet. Burt aka 'the master' appears to be enjoying his music.
Chuck Jackson OWNS this song and no one else can come close!
Just what I thought.
You can't deliver this song with more soul than that. I remember Chuck Jackson. I would love to hear John and Chuck do it together.
AWESOME, AWESOME AND AMAZING John Pagano.....What a talent !!!
Wish we had more professional entertainers like him.
Puro Paradiso!! ❤
I love this video. Can't stop watching. A another beautiful song by Burt and brilliantly sung by John - what a voice! I started listening to Chuck Jackson's version but much prefer Burt and John.
Por el gran Burt Bacharach , por la inolvidable canción , por la excelente voz e interpretación del cantante y por el solo de trompeta : like!
Burt is a master in songwriting. This is one of my favourites. Listen also to his instrumental version! Love Burt
Agree with all those who say you can only listen to Chuck Jackson doing this!!!
John Kyneur Actually I liked Ronnie Milsap’s cover. Burt’s guts must be on fire playing begin this jerk. Lol
Nobody comes close to Jackson's raw emotional and anguish. You feel exactly what's happening in his version, and it's intense.
@@garymorris9571 You know, I hate to disagree when someone loves a certain version, but Elvis does this and blows me away. I can't stay away from it, I love it so much. I am in heaven listening to his heart wrenching version.
Great Vocals ! Wonderful Version !!
I have been tryin to find out who he is. So glad I stumbled across this vid. Thanks for posting!
Beautifully sung! My favorite is the original by Chuck Jackson in 1962!
pure pleasure. one song after another.
Such a beautiful and touching song.
Great Job!
John Pagano grabs ahold of those words with his teeth and chews them up. He's amazing.
one of my all-time favorite songs. lyrics by bob hilliard, music by burt b
Absolutely classic !!! John can really sing a great artist
Fabulous.. I wasn't aware that he wrote this song as well.
I think it's amazing.
This song is here because it was written by Burt Bacharach and Bob Hilliard back in 1962. Bacharach is doing it here because he co wrote it. There have been several really great version of the tune, and why not? Just another Great hit Bacharach helped write.

this song is ETERNAL
Heavenly
Fantastic version. Love Chuck Jackson but this is memorable.

No body does it like Elvis!
Talent...
so good burt bacharach
top singer
Dear @angiepee, very poetic words.
Great voice!Take a listen to his Pure Imagination CD- it's John Pagano's interpretation of the Great American Songbook.
Ah ooooooo. The backup singers gotta like them too. :)
muito show
EXACTLY!
Elvis blows Chuck out of the water with his version !!!
cruisersism I understand your preference of Elvis ' s version, you don't have any soul and can't dance chuck jackson ' s original
Burt really knows what he is doing. John did a great job on this song. And listen how burt guides him with the piano....briljant in any way
Burt recorded it with Chuck Jackson. So Burt was in control of the hole session recording. The version of Chuck is also my favorite. I did not like the version of Elvis and the version from Milsap is soso.
Yes, love Milsap's country version, from maybe 1982?
Who was the trumpeter?
Tom Ehlen. All I know is he was part of his touring band on the three occasions I saw him - and I can hear why.
Ronnie Millsap and Chuck Jackson ❤
As great of an artist as Elvis was, this song was best sung by the ever soulful Chuck Jackson. (Except for Burt's wonderful piano accompaniment, this version simply falls short.)
How very true.
SAGGIO DI TROMBA GRANDE TOM
muito bom
Very nice. Paul Carrack does a great version too.
Chuck Jackson is the only singer who should ever do this song.
I agree
One and only da gr8 elvis
MUITO BOM BRASIL
ronnie milsap...best version. given all respect due
Go stadia de very esta musica cantada plea Chaicra
Beautifully sung by John Pagano. My favourite version however is Dionne Warwick’s live version at the Australian concert. You feel more the sadness and heartbreak the song demands. It’s really is sung with passion.
Yesterday
look up the Elvis version, stunning !!!!
100% agree, uploaded by purelistener. Elvis is magic. Milsap's is beautiful. I go back to Elvis'.
Nobody sings tnis better then Elvis Presley period!
He's an AI addict that everything else is measure by AI. Ahhh this is how AI judges say...( im brilliant) (him thinking)
No no no no no no no...............this rendition is ........I'm too horrified....rushing off to find Chuck Jacksons.
Susan Urquhart your taste of course, but the man who wrote the song has chosen this man (John Pagano) to sing / present this song for many years now. Do you really think these men don't know what they're doing ?
Emmaculate21198 the woman loves Chuck's original forever.whats wrong with that.
Tell me . which is what you have in the ears, wax, water, better tuning the ear well xD
yeah to be a good singer you have to have vibrato in your voice and also to sustain the notes too.
maleficentdiva but it would help if he could actually count to 3 and then maybe 4 so he could possibly stay in time with the poor musicians trying to cover up his pathetic musicianship
@aammirr so Bacharach chooses to play alongside musicians who can't play his songs and uninspired vocalists....I don't think so.Wash your ears out and take another listen.
Best version is by Elvis.
no disrespect taken but lets be totally honest and say that the people in the know knew about this beautiful song 20 years before ronnie milsap even sang it .........it belongs to chuck jackson today and always and the only version that comes anywhere near is one by soulfulstrut .......a man with a few videos on you tube and a truly outstanding voice .........he may not be known commercially but his acoustic version leaves ronnie milsaps way behind..
listen to Elvis version of this song 1969,best version ever by The King of Music....E.Presley
As ill-informed a comment as I've read in a long time. Hand picked by Burt himself and you just don't get it. Shame.
Karen Carpenter's version is the best!
it gets worse..."any day now....when you rest lease iiiiice"
chuck jackson would be turning in his grave if he was dead
voiskumbeaver no he's very much alive.
Great arrangement, beautiful voice , but I prefer Luther's rendition
@dodecanese1
...still not impressed. Singer is monotone and the trumpet uninspiring. But I've been spoiled.
Ronnie Milsap had the best version
Great version but it's done better by Elvis Presley.
In the Elvis version, uploaded by purelistener, he is pleading....to me. It's the magic of Elvis. I am addicted to it.
why do these west end/broadway mincers always sing the word "i" as "uaaaagggh"?
fucking horrible.
I like the Elvis version better.
...wow; is this version soul-less or what !?! Glad they got an out of tune trumpet to help out. Whew !
