Yeah, good stuff. Been struggling to learn hanging at 43, I should have stuck with gymnastics in elementary lol. I still have great flexibility from it and I used to love rings, but my hanging wasn't great then and down right bad now. I've been mostly body building type training for a year to build back stronger than ever after losing 100lbs... why is pushing so much easier than pulling 😅. Anyway, thanks for this, brings back memories, teaches me more of what I need to know to become a real life primate! What kind of ape can't hang, humans, pufffth!
Huge congrats losing the 100lbs!! It’s super common from my experience to have people slightly more biased towards pushing or pulling… mainly due to factors such as bw, levers, muscle insertions, previous experience. Don’t sweat it, just keep figuring things out ;)
Wow, this is incredible, I can see this video helping me to progress in my journey to one arm pull up, thanks a lot for the video, don't stop making content, more videos you make, the more people will see your videos. Good luck
I like to go a little further than just activating the shoulder as shown in Variation 7: once in active hang I move my free arm up, as if I wanted to grip the bar, but reach past the bar so that my free arms wrist is at the height of the bar. I really like the extra chest, core and back input that it takes to get the non-hanging shoulder that high
Hi. Whay are you with an opening grip (thumb over the bar)?Souldn’t be doing the hang or pull up with a close grip (thumb under the bar in contact with a index finger? Tks
Really good scales for progression. Is that a home made rig, if so what size tubing? More frequent content would be good but with this level of editing keeps it real.
I did a one arm hang for 1 min and messed something with my nerves.Have been in severe pain since 2 years. So guys beware don't do it unless you are really ready.
Do you have more details as I’m super curious about this. You already are lifting your body weight in other areas like chest / back ? Do you already do pull ups and chin ups before you attempt one hand? Just wondering at what level you attempted as one hand is advanced and I’ve been waiting until I’m more leaner
This is the best video out there about this topic. I've got no idea why it is so low in views. Really great explanation and progression, thanks
I have to agree, subscribed and liked... which is very rare for me.
Thanks ill always start my next month workouts with this exercises
This is actually a really good advice, that I don't have seen I other channels, thank you.
This is a terrific common sense progression that should allow achieving one arm hangs without injury. Thank you for this video!
This video deserves million views
Nice setup
Thanks for the video, great content! Getting a mic on your neck or something would be a big improvement for the video itself. Thanks again!
Good feedback, will implement in due course thanks!

Thank you so much. I will dedicate myself to getting better at this.

Good stuff, but I recommend some type of mic close to you. I pumped the volume to 100% and had still had trouble understanding at some points.
Agreed - improved for newer videos!
Good luck on growing your channel, great video.
thanks!
Awesome! Really like the intro 😊🔥
Thanks
Dope brother I appreciate your info

great video - where did you get the bars from?
Made them myself - constraints in the studio lead to a nice outcome!

It is, it's standard scaffolding. Doing my best with the frequency and edits!
@@Figuring-Things-Outis it sturdy enough to swing on??
This is an excellent demonstration. Thank you. At what duration of 2 arm hang should you start 1 arm hang?
I think 60-90s is a good place to start.

You have to be already advanced to do a one arm hang for 1 minute. How did it happen then? I'm a beginner and I can hold it barely for 2-3 seconds.
can people really not hang off one arm? lol wut
