    dead hang no rest in my opinion must be without any re-grabbing of stuff like that, i think that the differences between tazio peter and jonas performances are mainly due to the re-grabbing which provides some recovery. for example tazio during his 36 min performance did only weight shifting and very little regrabbing instead jona in his 1h performance did a lot of "long" and "more recovering" regrabbing , that's why he could double tazio's time

    This could have used a more provocative title. Such as "These Guinness records are out of date" or something to call Guinness's legitimacy into question.
    Just some more key words to intrigue people. Cool video though Anton :)

    I know it might sound gross and creepy but I wonder if someone was hooked up to like IVs or something that could remove the lactic acid if someone could hang indefinitely? I'm not saying we have the medical technology to do that but it would be interesting. Like the tests where they put athletes in ice cold water and have those warming mits on their hands that warms the blood and allows them to sit in ice cold water waaaay longer. Something like that.

    Every boys house should have a chin up bar. I swear physical weakness attached to so many mental problems especially low self esteem. Single mothers seem to foster that. If she resents u eating good food and doesn't teach u a simple recipe to cook when Ur home alone than fill all Ur time with activity's away from her then move out and cut contact except for some short phone calls asap.

    1 hour without shaking? That guy must process lactic acid differently or not feel pain the same way.

    when doing the bar challenges, locking your thumb shouldnt be allowed tbh. compare petes 1 arm hang vs Magnus there, magnus did 4 seconds less but he wasnt using his thumb at all. both extremely impressive obv, but feels like the thumb locking shouldnt be a thing. kinda like a Half crimp compared to doing a full crimp essentially.

    My current PR Deadhang with shakeouts is one hour and two minutes. (2021)
    I think it’s the “unofficial” world record for over 160 pounds.
    Thoughts??

    These are exercises of the will more than the body. I wonder how long a person is truly capable of hanging if their life depended on it.

    • @himalayantongue
      @himalayantongue ปีที่แล้ว

      Disagree. Willpower is always an element in endurance exercises, but it's most certainly not about the will "more than the body". You can have all the willpower in the world but your muscles are simply going to let go at one point and there's nothing you can do about it. In a life or death situation adrenaline can probably make a serious difference, I imagine.
