A lot of people don’t know this but Nick Saban at Alabama ran the 4-2-5 out of the 3-4 base. Alabama stayed in nickel 80% of the time. People think Bama just ran a standard base 3-4 defense. People think Bama just strictly ran man to man press but people don’t realize Bama also ran a match pattern zone defense that Saban and Bellicheck revolutionized. Essentially you’re in a zone until a route is ran in your zone which then turns in to man to man. Example I call a cover 3 If #1 runs a route deeper than 10 yards, cover that receiver in man If #1 runs shorter than 10 yards or runs across, get eyes to #2 and collect if they enter the deep third. The #1 way to beat a match pattern zone is motions pre snap and crossing routes cause you have to think so much pre snap and if the offense gives you a different look post snap then there is another set of keys the defenders have to follow so by motioning WRs and RBs it makes the defenders think a lot.
Yeah the 4-2-5 is my favorite defense to run in college also but the thing about how I'm going to run my defense is The combination of speed power strength and smarts my two defensive tackles go be over 330 plus pounds so I can have the advantage of not only you can't run the ball against me but you can't pass the ball against me either because of them big boys up front I'm going to have so yeah One more thing my corners in my safeties going to be over 215 Plus to so yeah I can't wait till this game come out
Bruh sound just like a TX HS FB coach, but spot on regarding the DTs, and yes spread offense is to decrease/simplify box count to run the ball. Baylor 2013-2018 is a perfect example of this.
Yoo, your coverage for this game is on point bro! I like how you break down everything, and the playbook break down is the best I've seen. My team I think I'm going to build up is going to be Missouri, I love to run the spread. I believe the pistol and veer shoot offense would be a good look.????? Thank you again and keep keeping us informed, peace out from Philly Pa.
Thanks I look forward to the content everyday it helps with the wait for the game as well can’t wait to do even deeper playbook videos when the game drops
@@Dmgaming5 I was playing Penn State with Bama at State. Man is it tough. I think they went a little overboard with composure thing. No way Alabama wouldn’t know their routes or not be able to audible on the road. Idc where they are playing
It'd be different if he were one to breakdown how to cheese the game which requires you to have played the game and I don't think anyone wants to see that noise.
What playbook breakdown should we cover next?
3-4
@@DonDon-ge5dgI second this!
3-3-5

@@WillTheCoach_215im from Philly too! Go Birds 🦅
So how would you attack this defense on offense ?
@@sirjam34 4-2-5 is like the 4-4 just switching two linebackers with safeties to play against a spread offense so run the ball
@@Dmgaming5 I’m sorry I meant if you don’t run
@@sirjam34 of you don’t run? Try play action it freezes the safeties and backers

Yeah, I’m definitely running this defense for my Akron rebuild because you got to match speed with speed
I think there is going to be a gameplay thing tomorrow
Yes
4-2-5 is by far the best defense to run especially if you have the right athletes
In the video game im definitely playing LB in the 4-2-5.
I prefer a 335 multiple type playbook.
It’ll be in the game along with the 335 tite
Or you can say it’s a Nickel 2-4-5
Run game gonna be outrageous against these defenses!!
How did you get this film?
What would be the madden 24 equivalent to the 4-2-5 defense
Nickle normal , nickle wide
@@TimmyAkinsnickel over too
Nickle
Big nickle over g
The game isn’t out yet. How are you breaking down defenses already?
The mental side, u don’t have to watch keep moving
A lot of the concepts are run IRL so it makes sense to be able to do so in some respect
Football is football the playbooks are real playbooks with real concepts

Shittin me I love these breakdowns
