It drives me crazy that this amazing series doesn't seem to have an online presence. It deserves so much more than the pear-shaped AI.
goes for a lot of cars on AC, even on LFM i was excited for the BTCC cars but the series is now basically dead, cause everyone has the attention span of a fly i think.
Early 90's era TA racing is my favorite. Kendall, Schrader, Simo, etc are what I grew up on. This is also an awesome car. Tempting me to buy a PC just so I can play this stuff 😅 God bless and race on 👍😎🏁
I race with 2 buddies. There a Chevy and a Ford guy. So as the Mopar guy its nice to have this car finally.
Right? I was hoping we’d eventually see this brought to AC. Thankfully the right people made it, and it rocks! Now we just need more realistic skins…

was watching these cars at a south island enduro championship here in NZ at ruapuna race track with SVG,Greg Murphy..Mostly was gt3 cars and gt4 cars but these TA2 cars are a freaken beast live
This car is one more proof that good sound can be miracles on immersion in any simulator. Amazing!
Wow! I have to buy this car to complete the TA2 roster. Amazing beasts! The Trans Am series comes every year to my city as a support series for the Detroit GP weekend. These cars in person sound soooo good!!! They’re loud, raw and reverberating it’s crazy!!
You will see some of the best road racing in the NASCAR Pinty's series as well.

Instantly bought this and loved it along with the other 2 TA2 cars. My only complaint is that noone runs these in open lobbies. If only there were some servers with people who enjoyed them running regularly, without needing to seek out a league.
"Sim racers" gravitate to GT3 cars because of driving aids built into them. A TA2 open lobby would be a nightmare.
@@truantray I've been in lobbies that run the RSS GT1 cars, as well as the Super Tourers, and tbh, some of the best races I've ever had. I highly doubt your suggesting open lobby GT3's in AC aren't already a shit show lol I haven't had a GT3 race in AC yet that wasn't plagued with griefers and trolls.

Man these look fun! Love the analog feel like you say. That RWD heavy floating feeling is great, hard but great! One of favourite cars was the Kuno C7R obv a different cat being a GTE car but it still had some of those US muscle car charactics. Completely different exp to the mid-engined GTEs. Ive recently bought the RSS Hyperion which is hoot but Ive often thought of how fun a series of cars with a similar driving experience would be and this looks like that’s exactly it! Wish I’d know of this pack 1st! These look a little more road track friendly than they Hyperion too…. Only just though! Haha.

I'm still partial to the mare, but my god that thing is incredible.
Bought this last night and fell in love with it immediately! I also received the free updates to the two others but have not run them yet. Did they update the sounds of the other two? The Dagger sounds amazingly raw and aggressive which is huge for immersion.
They fragmented the series. There is a patch already.
Might be fun at Riverside Raceway.
Great car! Fun to drive! The Chevrette and the Mare are too. Soon we will have an open server named 'Midwest Racing' to race them in. I wish they had one more gear so we could run them on the NASCAR tracks also. My sons and I love to race. Building a new sim racing server as I speak. Or, type. Lol! Hope to have it up and running this weekend! Just need one more part. It'll be here Thursday.
Hey! Glad you’re enjoying the car! You can increase the Final Gear Ratio in the setup in order to race on ovals without redlining constantly.
Would be awesome if they also brought some TA1 cars, those are absolutely lunacy

Sadly my cpu is too bad for the csp version of the cars... I still have the default version and it still rocks!
VRC messed something up. The car is really undrivable compared to the Camaro and Mustang models. Sept 27th they patched it to 1.1. Not sure what the changes are.
Of course, now the Dodge has a different tire model than the other two, it warms up in 3/4 lap while the others take 2-3 laps. They really need to update all three models for BOP.

Thanks very much for this review. Mr SimRacing604. I will definitely be adding this full pack, now that you say it's most likely complete. But I just want to ask you an editing question please, as I am SO IMPRESSED by your car sound volumes increasing whenever to don't chat for a brief while. So are you turning up the car sounds always manually in the editing process - or does your editing software come with some sort of automatic "noisegate" - as it just sounds so brilliantly seamless?
Hey there Michael! It’s a built in editing feature with Adobe Premiere. Thankfully it only takes a few clicks to get the ducking effect configured

Having never heard of Trans-Am series, I thought this was NASCAR haha..... (jokes on me)
My previous experience with the two other cars was overwhelmingly negative. I think I'll need to give these cars a second chance and be patient with the learning curve.
It’s not for everyone. Very analog, and at times unforgiving. And honestly with the amount of amazing mods we have at our fingertips these days, I wouldn’t worry about giving these a second chance. Find something you enjoy and go racing!
Great, another TA2 car to add to the wonderful pair I already have .
I really, really like these cars in AC - they are great fun.
However, has VRC done anything to improve the AI performance as this was the big failing of the first pair of TA2 cars.
I'm a mid level racer - Im okay but not that quick, but I'm about 5-10 seconds a lap quicker than the AI of VRCs original pair of TA2 cars. The AI performance of these cars is the worst I've encountered in Assetto Corsa.
So my question isn't whether I'll like this car as I'm sure I will, but will it provide dent off-line perfomance so I can have a good race against the AI.

Send a complaint to VRC. Paid mods should be better, but make sure the issue is not the track mod.

ignition ? in Assetto Corsa? wait there is there an ignition switch ? this is one of the reasons i don't race this sim because i thought there wasn't an ignition switch? please do tell how?
Extra A and Extra B can be mapped in Content Manager, and they work to start these cars. Few cars have this feature in AC currently
@@SimRacing604 Oh i see. well maybe in ac2 coming out next year ,there will be an ignition switch but until then i think i will stick with PC2. still loving the vids.

@@SimRacing604 because it happens on the track. ive built a full motion driving simulator with all the bells and whistle. though im not a millionaire to afford to drive one of the race car in real life i do enjoy a large garage to build my own so like i said "if it happens on the track" so ive built my own and it to me is all about realism. shout out to HP reverb G2 that makes it the best.
